Watching this back and seeing their reactions to Osku’s 2 handed form is crazy. Amazing how it has become so popular so quickly.
Not crazy one bit. Two handers continue to look like retards. It's not bowling, more like slugging.
Interviewer: "How will you stay focused?"
Osku: "I dunno"
LMAO
hes the best...what a great line
odellus Osku has done well, he never became as versatile as Belmonte has developed. Osku’s game is pretty much one dimensional though he’s made a living at the sport we love
Man.....a rock band introducing the finalists, taking place in what looks like a giant arena (though probably not as many people as it shows) with a 100k prize.
2004 was such a different time for bowling.
wish it was still that way bro, or something like it
when PDW saved bowling
Yeah I really wish they still did arena finals, the last time was in 2016 firestone tournament championships
@@ForYouPlays they’ll be using the Thunderbowl arena for the 2023 US Open
@@MPIEMDRailfan4 thats not arena even though it says "arena" in its name
As much as I thought bowling was dying when this aired, by comparison to today it seems alive and well.
Bowling has been doing great since it moved to CBS and FS1. I just wish Fox would stick to sports.
The PBA was endangered of going under once ABC canceled the PBA in 1997 but it has made a tremendous comeback I the Jason Belmonte and the 2 handed style made people watch again because it was something new and interesting
Yep, bowling is garbage today with everyone using two hands. No thanks
Very much so....
it's not all 2 handers though, we got bowlers like Butters keeping it interesting
"dont adjust your tv sets this is real- a 2 handed bowling style" what an old sentence 😂
To this day, Pete will always be my favorite bowler, (next to my son!)
He is awesome and so funny...I also live Mark Roth. I tried to copy Mr Roth's approach, then I was afraid that I would need rotator cuff surgery..lol
@oddity21 Ryan Liederbach
I miss PBA Bowling on ESPN. I remember watching these telecasts while I was in my bowling league.
Osku looks so different compared to what he looks like nowadays. Man I feel so old LOL
1:22:55 Brian Voss CONVERTS 4-6-7 SPLIT!!! The 4 pin comes out from the back and takes down the 6 pin! That is the most amazing split conversion I've ever seen from Brian Voss!!
26:14 Osku Palermaa's super powerful shot.
At the 1:22:56 of this, Brian Voss converts the impossible 4-6-7 split out of the pit in the 4th frame of the title game vs. Pete Weber, when the 4-pin bounced out of the pit to take out the 6-pin while the ball took out the 7-pin, and that was so very exciting & crazy.
The crowd went absolutely crazy when Voss converted that impossible split in the 4th frame of the Championship match, UNBELIEVABLE
Then leaves 7-10
First time I've seen a house band complete with dancing girls at a PBA event. Apparently I was outside the loop. What a great telecast this was with ESPN commentator babe Holly Rowe, bowling greats Chris Barnes, Brian Voss, Walter Ray Williams and Pete Weber. Oksu Palermaa thank you for the two handed demonstration.
Pretty cringy WWE shit. The Microsoft influence on PBA is extremely overrated and cringy.
I remember watching this live back in the day and thinking oskus style was a cute gimmick. Now all these years later and Osku is legit and the greatest bowler of all time is a 2 handed Aussie. Its wild
Belmo ain't the greatest WTF is wrong with u. He's won the most majors but he's got aways to go to trump EARL ANTHONY
@@gregamerson9172 WRWJ > Earl
@@TheAbele992 PDW > All
Who does you think you are? HE is!
And this was the show that had everyone trying to bowl 2 handed the next day.. truth
Great to watch five of the greatest bowlers of all time, four pba hall of famers make the stepladder finals in this tournament! See if i can Learn something!!
I bowled in the this tournament. Crossed with Williams either 1st or 2nd squad. He could not hit anything that round. Takes a helluva bolwer to come back and make the finals.
Love it when the ball returns are off the lane
This was just cool. Much different than today’s bowling. The band was rocking. Great idea! Love PDW. The man
The band was cringe.
Yeah, this shit didn't age really well. The Microsoft guys tried to make bowling like pro wrestling, except bowlers are awkward, and to see Walter Ray and Chris Barnes trying to be "Rock N Roll"........it was, well..... lol
Voss has such a lovely smile. My main man, Pete, is a Charmer!! He was, and still is for me, the very BEST!!!!❤
One of the best PBA shows ever!
This is MY tournament!
19:49
"Lots of distractions down the lane"
*Pro Bowl promo appears*
That timing could not be more perfect.
I miss PDW he is my favorite bowler
Favorite asshole of all time
Oh and Palerma was the first to bowl 2 handed on tv hmmm
"Are you a bowling fan?"
"No, I'm just a PDW fan."
4 yrs. Later will come one of the best ever to throw two handed!
And the commentators said maybe this will start the beginning of a two-handed craze!
Who? Jason belmonte realy? He has a horrable autitude and should be bowling on tour. Every other two hander on tour is way better
@Vert3xThunder hes a douche
On ouskus first spare he broke the pin curtain
THAT'S HOW VOSS MADE THE 7-10 SPLIT
@@edhouse1951 He didn't make the 7-10...
@@edhouse1951 Ohhh you meant the previous day. I thought you meant on TV.
@@edhouse1951 Also, why are you screaming?
Hay Knee why do you care
voss the boss!!!
This was the first time I EVER saw someone throw 2 handed...and this was long before Belmo...
Belmo is the worst two hander i have ever seen everyone else is better on tour

1:11:07: 👎👎👎
1:32:28: Could’ve easily gotten just 6 when PDW needed 9!
1:34:53: He thought he only needed 7!
thank you
Yeah, 2004 was a such a different bowling!
42:20 YEEEAAAAAAAHHHH !!
Ha Ha Ha Haaa ha Haaa!! 😂
I think he said "SNAAAAAP!" and the chop gesture meant the 6-pin cut the 10-pin down like a tree.
long live earl anthony..hate all this drama after the shot is made
congratulations pete weber.
PB3 with facial hair! The PB3 mustache! It looks great on him.
It's so stupid to have fans sitting that close to the lanes. It might look cool on the television screen but, the pros have to be distracted by them. Christ sake, just sit still, shut up, and wait until he throws the damn ball.
Brain is a legend
Brain?
And a smart guy too.
Osku looking skinny here.
looking like a bad ass tho
I remember Parker Bohn III had his own TV show: Parker Bohn Can't Lose.
Pete "Who Do You Think You Are - I Am" Weber.....
Parker my second favorite lefty
I was out of touch during this period of the PBA. Did Parker Bohn ALWAYS refer to himself in third person? The PBA was kind of weird during this period, wasn't it? I mean, I never saw Brian Voss acting like PDW like this. It's not pleasing to the eye.
They should have forced anyone sitting along the side to take and pass an IQ test....make sure they understand SIT STILL in English! lol
Pete Weber is my spirit animal
I knew ball returns could be placed behind the approach.
Nice commentary by Maximum Bob, his rev rate would put the top bowlers now to shame.
1:23:51 Almost left the Sour Apple!
Finland wiped his nose after every shot
@1:22:45 will you BELIEVE THAT SPARE
the first and title matches were exciting and very close
I love clams casino
"Like Brian said we don't like each other much right now, so let's get it on" miss PW on tour. "First one's on me tonight Brian".....
Pete Weber is the Ric Flair of bowling. Bowling is going to REALLY SUCK once he is done.
That last throw was scary. Almost split
13:29 not a plastic ball. Hammer Power Diesel. I used ro own one.
1:32:03
Great PBA Drama...47:32...Voss wants PDW...47:41...Barnes walks into the frame, says he has to beat me first...sure, no problem there.
1:06:19...bahhahahhahahahnahahahahaha
Was a great telecast except for randy petersen. Love to watch Chris "the choko" Barnes.
Thanks for the video. Good to see Williams, Voss and Barnes, but I'll be movin' on before the spoiled little prince begins.
Osku Palermaa was the first two-handed bowler before Jason Belmonte.
To qualify on TV, yes.
If you know the backstory youd actually know that theh grew up competing against each other .
A couple of years later, Jason and Osku played in the same team in the Swedish leagur
Belmo was winning just as much internationally at this point.
1st place 100k. You will never see 50k again in a tourney haha
what we will never see again is a 4-6-7 conversion where both pins came out of the pit to attack the 7
I hate to be the bearer of good news but bowling got some funding leading to big some big prize pools this season.
Are you sure about that?
1:23:30 he makes it because he got to the pins in the back before they could be recycled. i understand now.... :)
Nobody did it better than Weber. Not even Gretzky.
🐐
Walter Ray is the only man in this field who can throw a horseshoe at the pins and get a strike. 😆
I want to see someone roll a spare ball at 50+ mph.
Huh, Jason Belmonte wasnt in the picture yet
Brian Voss Converting 7-10 31:30
1:32:27....Pete needs 9??? What the F is he doing...what if this leaves a split...did it not matter??? I understand throwing it down the middle for needing like 5...but 9? What?
9 to guarantee close it out, he did win by 60~
Is brian throwing a nighthawk menace????
My man Voss celebrating the opening three like he won the match lol never celebrate too hard kids you’ll end up losing to the goat
리액션이 저정도는 되어줘야지 ㅋㅋㅋ 멋지네 ㅋ
Brian Voss thinks we don't notice his serpeant tongue.
"First one is on me tonight...." says the "rehabbed" raging alcoholic 🤣
osku is using a idol pro in 2004 lmao jk
Ian must have been one of the people sitting to the right of the lanes...? Or, maybe a camera man...?
Holly Rowe or Kimberley Pressler?

The commentators are still the same. Youngens here.
1:32:34 Pete celebrates with his wife after he beat Brian Voss
1:01:00 Chop!
Chris "choko" Barnes
his induction into the Hall of Fame was a bit hasty
Weber has always been good if he would of lifted a little bit and got stronger so he could of put some speed and strength on the ball without having to break his form he would been better than he was .
Why are you wearing sunglasses over glasses?
WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?!!!! COME HERE, IMMA BEAT YOUR ASS, COME HERE!!!!!!

Thomas McCarrick Osku* dummy
McCarrick,I can't figure out why someone gives out the outcome of the matches in the comment section. It's like the obnoxious kid in class that yells out the answers while others have their hands up waiting to be called. Grow up!
Stryker to be fair you shouldn't read the comments before watching the video
THEGRF124, "Stryker, to be fair you shouldn't read the comments before watching the video"! You know in the sitcoms when someone repeats something that other says but, in a funny snarky voice? I tried that just now but, in written form! It just doesn't work ! hehehe!

Pete Weber is the best in the world.
not anymore
But not today 😆
W.R.Williams is the best
Pete is close
Here’s he deal, I hate it when Randy always says league play is easy, when I bowled on men’s league it was at 8 at night, by the second game there was no oil, at all, it wasn’t easy Randy believe me, and I still finished the year at 208 average, if anyone practices enough you can bowl good on the open oil pattern, I bowled on it in the PBA experience league and it’s not as hard as he makes it sound.
Imagine the coke in that place
Pete looks like a guy in a midwestern suburb that runs a lucrative lawn care business, that is a laundering front for his Newark meth hustle.
The rich edger worrisomely spell because thermometer secondly strengthen across a remarkable budget. solid, flowery owner
Every other sport has distractions boo whoooo deal with it jeez.
chirs barnes sucks.
Pete, the only reason he is cause of his dad. Other than that, he is a punk.
Chris Montreuil you act like dick threw the ball for Pete Everytime he won, show some respect to the great Pete Weber he would whoop your ass.
Shut up and eat your hay.
@@smokingbluedream I don't think he could take me. He is all mouth, one of those brats that had no discipline learned no selfcontrol and respect. My family was military. My dad knew Audie Murphy. A real shit kicker.
Dick Weber was real class, his son a spoiled brat.
All my 8 uncles were bowlers and my dad. Two of them were pinsetter mechanics. My first job was a pinchaser at 15 years old in Burien Washington at High Line Lanes.
I used to bowl 30 or more games a week. My first 300 game was when I was 16.
I would work the colorama on Saturday night that ended early Sunday morning at 2:30. I would get off work go turn a machine on and bowl till 7:00 in the morning. My dad would come we would have breakfast and at 8:00 I would bowl pot games with the "old men". I remember my first game I rolled a 271 and won $70 in the pot.
I was gifted natural bowler but I went another way in life.
And I can still through a 200 game at 62.
Chris Montreuil was your dad in Europe with audie ? I respect you Chris you’re one of the few that grew up in a great era
@@smokingbluedream my dad was stationed at fort Lewis Washington. He was at the top of his class.
Hollywood wanted to do a movie about Audie in ww2. And it was at fort Lewis and the Yakima firing range where most of "To Hell and Back" was made.
The casting director looked at my dads record and looks and used him in many parts of the movie, as my dad put it "because I was a mean looking sob to make Audie look better."
If you look at this utube video, you can see my dad next to Audie at the sand bags.
Audie and my dad became good friends during the making of this film. My dad is featured in 21 different scenes with Audie.
The utube video is " To Hell and Back Audie Murphy US most decorated." 5.43. This is a short movie clip.
My sister has a picture of my dad and Audie on the movie set in black and white.
