- RED HOT SUMMER y'all! its been a whole year since i dyed my hair blue, and shortly after i decided to grow out my platinum. so as one las run, I wanted to throw a color ive been dying to do for ages. YES I know its a bit red, but it will fade more orange, and its super different in sunlight!

For dyes with developer, yes it's good to let your scalp get greasy. For direct dyes like Arctic Fox, no. Grease and conditioner makes it slide off the hair = patchy. If you use Arctic fox again, next time shampoo your hair, rinse, blow-dry, and immediately dye.

Btw when you dye with direct vegan colours such as this one, it's better to not shampoo it out, you can just rinse it without anything. The dye is like a conditioner so you're basically treating your hair with a hair mask. Also the more sulfates and sodium there is in your shampoo (and the warmer the water) the faster the dye will disappear. These dyes usually doesn't stick that well to natural hair and will wash out a lot faster on nonprocessed hair.
You could also let your hair airdry until it's damp and apply the direct dye to the damp hair.

yeah for arctic fox youre actually supposed to shampoo it twice before dying then after dying you just wash it out dont shampoo or condition it, and its not damaging so you can leave it in for however long you want.
btw your hair turned out so great! just tips for it lasting longer and as bright as it can be :)

When you do direct dye it’s best to do clean hair. If you were bleaching or something then greasy hair is best.

Arctic fox is my favorite brand! Works even better in clean hair and if left for 35ish minutes ☺️ love the way it came out!
Rubbing alcohol removes arctic fox hair dye really well from skin and anything else you get it on trust me I know from experience!!!!
It's honestly your chouce how long you let it sit, Arctic fox is a semi permanent dye and doesn't damage your hair. The longer you let it sit the longer it stays and the better it looks

bleach doesn’t ruin your hair unless you’re doing it wrong, don’t use any metal bowls or mixing tools, don’t use too high volume of a developer, don’t leave it on too long, and use a good conditioner afterward. when you hear stories of breakage and people’s hair falling out, it’s usually because they used a fork or something to mix the bleach. when bleach comes in contact with metal it, changes the properties.
Orange makes blue pop, so yes, your eyes look stunning and it makes you look really pretty!

The creator of Arctic Fox said 30 minutes is more of a suggestion. It's more of a conditioner type dye, so you could go hours with the dye on and you would be fine. I just dyed my hair the Purple Rain color from the same company and kept it on for hours basically lol, it turned out fine.

Thank you for posting this, I just bought my first tube of blush pink hair dye and I've been wanting to dye my hair myself for a long time but I'm also terrified. I have the exact same hair color that you did at the beginning of the video, light blonde on the end with a darker blonde at the roots and most of the light blonde has grown out. I really don't want to lighten my hair on my own, 100% certain I'd cause my hair to fall out doing that. But I also don't feel like paying someone $150+ just to bleach my hair.
It's good to know I can still definitely achieve a gorgeous color with what I have!

Same here. My natural curls I freaking love so I never want to dye it. But I just dyed it about a month ago with Got2Be and my curls remained the same!! Just dont do bleach or dye it too often. Every once in awhile is fine.
Dyes like this are much healthier for the hair. They’re completely vegan so it’s less likely to damage it. Yes you may have to bleach it, but I recommend olaplex or PH bonder to keep it from getting excessively damaged. I had my hair done blonde about a month ago and my hairstylist used ph bonder and my hair was completely fine, so give it a shot!
@@Xan1120 do you have curly hair? If not then let me just tell you our hair is completely different lol. Curly hair gets dryer way faster and doesnt hold as much moisture in the curls or at the root of the hair. No matter what bleach you use it will damage the curls, and it's hard to come back from.

Arctic Fox is my favorite hair dye it's vegan, cruelty free, it smells good, it's fun and easy to work with, and it feels really good on your head like it's not damaging, it also lasts quite a while, and you don't have to bleach hair for it to look good I use it every time I dye my hair
