I started watching your channel in mid-2023, upon the recommendation of my younger sibling, right when I was starting to take an interest in a graphic design career (before I fell down the rabbit hole into illustration, courtesy of my drawing professor). You are not alone in so many of the sentiments you expressed in this video; so many people have experienced intense physical and mental health struggles like this, including me. I resonate a lot with the intense experience of shame you’ve lived with and I’m sorry you have had to go through that. Wishing you so much hope and peace and healing in your process, and wishing you so much joy in your creative pursuits, including here on CZcams. However things change for you now with this channel, we are here for it!!!

hey kel, the first video i watched was your hair dye videos back in like 2019. thank you for sharing your story! in the time since you've stopped being on youtube, i went through a horrific breakup that sent me spiralling + got diagnosed with adhd + standard covid issues. there was lump in my throat that made it so i really couldn't breathe. i moved cities + am going to therapy + found new people who care about me; i just think it's so beautiful that things get better! that the world can be wide and loving. and that we can share our stories and build community in our common humanity. to whoever is reading this, i love you!

wow, thank u for sharing this. i was watching your videos consistently when i was a young designer in my first full-time graphic design job, and i enjoyed your videos because it encouraged me as an enby creative in the industry. i went through a rocky chapter that also involved mental health struggles, ideation, ahdhd/ptsd diagnosis, overall health problems etc. i found a way to get to the other side of it and return to my love for design and creative work, and i'm now finding your return video. i can't tell you how affirming it is to hear your story and also see my own journey within it. welcome back, proud of both of us <3

Kel is back!

Im a freelance artist. I was diagnosed with ADHD (and PCOS) in the past year. I’ve also been dealing with my husband’s father’s early dementia diagnosis. I really, really relate to what you said about paving over the potholes made in the wake of poor mental health. I lost clients and didn’t get renewals this past year, and now I have to move to a cheaper part of the country. It’s hard not to feel like a disaster when you’ve objectively made mistakes. All this is to say that you’re very brave for sharing all this-it makes me feel less alone in these struggles! and I’m so glad you’re back on YT and still making amazing work!!

But before that i wanted to say, that your videos have intermittently crossed my mind and I've reminisced about the "low key hanging out, crafting, being creative in a no-pressure environment" vibe they always gave me.

Hi, Kel, it makes me happy to see You're back! I'm with You in my thoughts as i have dealt with mental health and major health problems myself. As I recall from Your previous videos, You're very into music. May i suggest You to check out REN? Ren is a talented independent musician, singer, songwriter, rapper and producer who is with honesty and respect diving deep in several serious themes including health and mental health in his music. It's compared to therapy sessions and i have found comfort and hope listening to it indeed. The best song to start with is "Hi Ren", but there are more that You could listen to: "Troubles", "Chalk Outlines" (health and mental health issues), "Suic*de", "For Joe" (grief) and "Power" for example.
