    Tom Bassline - what an awesome name! 😆

    I found out that using toms for bass is quite "easy" in terms of this sound covering all the low end range of frequencies and adding a lot of groove, specially for hard groove tracks. Even though it doesn't make room for variations it is an amazing way of creating the foundations for a track :))

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  Před 8 měsíci +1

      yes indeed, it give that extra punch in the bass too.

      @@audioreakt now that you've mentioned it, I had some issues trying to combine a tom with a bass, because even if they sound great on my headphones or Yamaha HS7, when I play them in a car or on a club system, I feel like there are too much there, specially if the tom and the bass patterns are different. Any tip for this situation? :)

      @@iamwildeofficialmaybe you can sidechain the tom to the bass and eq with a bell down the tom where the fundamental of your bass hits ? or even shorten the tom a little bit and push the highs more

    How u avoid phasing issues can be caused from rumble and toms low frequencies . Everytime when i try to make low end groove with different elements , I would have anxienty attacks for possible phase issues :d ( thank u for ur videos btw i learned so much from u . Loves from Turkey ❤)

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  Před 9 měsíci

      to be hnoest I don't care about phasing issue, usually when you have phase issue you can hear it and feel it straight away, you have a big loss of energy, sound... When it happen, changing the pitch of elements usually solve the problem

    Any chance of making a video on how to balance kick - tom - bass? It can get muddy pretty fast 🥲

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yeah will do probably this year, people keep asking although each case is always different but will try to do something...

      @@audioreaktit would be great, I made a cool track with this tom bassline, but when I push the track into the limiter it starts sounding muddy, done some EQ which helped but then I notice the tom is pretty loud around 80-100hz, even louder than kick but if I lower those fq’s volume it loses the energy and tone. Without pushing into the limiter it sounds great and balanced.
