      The only way to Heaven is to be born again by saying out loud "Jesus is Lord" and believing in ur heart that God rose Him from the dead then you must live for Him, dont focus on not sinning bc thats self righteousness but instead focus on having more faith in Him and fear of the Lord and doing everything for Him hallelujah, i suggest getting baptized, repenting(asking for forgiveness of your sins and making a radical turn from ur sin), fasting (doesnt have to be from food), evangelizing(spreading the Gospel), praying, and reading the Bible. God and Jesus love all of you hmu with any questions have a good day God bless✝️❤️❤️ good works dont get u to Heaven God's grace does John 3:16

    Beautiful language! I am a native Spanish speaker. To me, all of the sounds are so familiar. The problem is, they are arranged in a completely different way. But, every time I hear Greek, I feel like I should understand what is being said. If I just listen close enough, the meaning will become clear. It never does. I actually have to learn the language. But I have always been fascinated by the culture and history and the mystique of that which is Greek. And, oh my God! The women are so beautiful! I melted. Love the food too. But, the girls!

      @@SpartanLeonidas1821 True, but it gets iffy when you go all the way back to Mycenae. While attestation wise, it's true that there's no archaeological evidence of written Chinese prior to the 2nd millennium BC, the pieces of evidence found were from the late Shang Dynasty (Late Bronze Age, so around the same time as Mycenae, actually), and archaeological evidence show the Shang was established around the same time as Myceanae, more than half a millennium prior to those oracle bones ...so presumably the written language was in use long before those specific pieces that survived to today were created. Linear B is also not continuous with later post-Phoenician written form of Greek, while Chinese scripts are largely continuous since the Shang era (there was no Chinese dark ages unlike the Greeks, nor did they adopt another script like the later Greeks did). But you are correct in terms of strict attestation of Linear B (not classical greek alphabet). I think in my comment, I meant that Chinese was older than Classical Greek. Not necessarily taking Mycenaean Greek into consideration.

    • @SpartanLeonidas1821
      @SpartanLeonidas1821 Před 2 lety +1

      @@uadhlagash7280 Well my friend, rest assured that Mycenaean Linear B findings are 100% Greek as well. The script is different but the Language is there, and can actually be read to prove that its Greek. The Greek Language is much older than that though, and future archaeological finds will take it back even further most likely. There are other finds such as the Dispilio Tablet that take things much further back, but it has never been deciphered. Not going to mention Linear A, even though it has not been deciphered, most Specialists do not believe it to be Greek...then again all the Specialists also thought that Linear B was not Greek until they cracked the code! 👍

Except for the fact that like in many other countries the southerns and the northerns speak a bit different, thessaloniki and as a result many regions around it were influenced in accent and syntax by the greeks of Istanbul who mostly came to Thessaloniki when forced to leave their homes. That means people of Thessaloniki speak a bit more "fully" and they usually place words like so, then, after at the end of the sentence.

    τί δὲ οἱ ἄνθρωποι; θεοὶ θνητοί. τί δὲ οἱ θεοί; ἄνθρωποι ἀθάνατοι.
    What are humans? Mortal gods. What are gods? Immortal humans.
    I love this proverb. Are Greek people learn Classical(Ancient) Greek at school? How easy is it for native Modern Greek speakers?

      @panoC97 Před 7 lety +3

      Yes ancient Greek is taught at schools. It is way easier to understand ancient Greek than speak. It has more similarities with modern Greek than it has differences. If I were to read an ancient text I would probably be able to understand more than 60% of what it says. For example, the proverb you wrote I understood it completely without any translation needed.

      panoC97 Wow, it's nice to hear that! What is the most difficult grammar of Ancient Greek for you Modern Greek sperkers? I heard there is no use of infinitive and optative mood, and dative case in Modern Greek, so are they hard for you?

    • @panoC97
      @panoC97 Před 7 lety

      MimukinTV The optative mood and dative case are not in Modern Greek but we still use the infinitive mood in very rare occasions and it's a bit different than the ancient one. For example we say, ''έχει λέγειν'' (ehei legein) which means he/she is a very good speaker. This is the most difficult grammar on Ancient Greek. To learn something that is not in use in Modern Greek. I wouldn't be able to right something in Ancient Greek because of the grammar differences but I would be able to read it and understand a big part of it.

      @anubisu1024 Před 7 lety +1

      panoC97 έχει is 3.sg form of έχω (have), and λέγειν is infinitive form of λέγω (speak), so "έχει λέγειν" literally means "s/he has (the skills) to speak", right? They're completely the same form to the Ancient ones! I'm now learning Ancient Greek at University, and I'm sure now that it would be easier to learn Modern Greek!

    • @panoC97
      @panoC97 Před 7 lety +2

      MimukinTV That's right. But I really can't think of any other example of infinitive mood in Modern Greek because as I said it's extremely rare. Yes it would be easier to learn Modern Greek if you already know Ancient Greek, but there would be a problem with the accent because you probably learn the Erasmian pronunciation which is very different from the Modern Greek pronunciation. But if you're a Spanish speaker then the Modern Greek accent would be really easy.

    Is this the same language the Apostle Paul use to write in his epistles to the Thessalonicians.

      Simon Saimee Samat Not the same, an evolution of Paul's language. As a native Greek speaker I can read and understand all the new testament which was written in Koine Greek but it's not exactly the same. We can say that's another dialect.

    Although the idea behind these videos is quite appealing (been following the Easy German series to refresh my German), people who don't have a prior knowledge of Greek will find it difficult to learn the language if the videos are like this. Putting the accent aside, the speaker speaks in an everyday manner (quickly) and it may sound difficult to some. I am saying this as a native Greek.
