Sonic 2 | iOS & Android | Level Select & Debug Cheat Code Guide With Commentary!

- In this video I show you how to unlock level select and debug mode for Sonic 2 on iOS and Android. I also show you how to unlock the secret configuration menu, all emeralds and how to change Tails name!
The full text guide is as follows:.
1. Select no save with any character.
2. When the sega logo appears press the s, e , g, a letters in order. You will hear a ring sound.
3. When Sonic appears, use two fingers and press and hold down using both fingers near the bottom right. You will be reported to the level select screen.
4. For all emerals enter the following code: 4, 1, 2 , 6. You will hear a sound if entered correctly.
5. For the secret game config menu enter: 00, 00, 00. A secret menu will appear where you can select any combination of characters you want, and what type of ring boxes you require as well as flight and air cap options.
6. For debug enter: 1,9,9,2,1,1,2,4
7. Start a level, tap the top left of the screen to enter debug mode, plus and minus let's you cycle through all the different object. And press the action button to place them. Tap the top left to transform back into Sonic.
8. Finally if you want to change tails name at the bottom right hand corners of the screen to Miles, simply type in A,G,E,S when the game is loading and you'll hear an sound if done right. - Hry

It doesn't work when i choose no save then i choose sonic i click the sega in order but then the part where sonic appears i clicked and holded with 2 fingers then it just goes to green hill zone not on that one menu

For those that can’t unlock debug mode: I’m going to guess that your stuck on the whole tap intermission between gameplay thing ( after the whole sega intro). You have to wait just before tails knux or whoever your playing ad to show up, go to the middle bottom it leave about a inch from your fingers the the end of the screen, swip up repeatedl. If it doesn’t work keep trying
They changed how this works 3 damn times.

For me its not letting me even tap sega

@@Tdarmylol there isn’t file, it’s just called no save file and you can’t back to that save once you lose all lives

@@-bugbite This happened for me also in the decomp of these, but i downloaded other versions of these games for s1 its 3.5.0 and for s2 its 1.3.5 and yes this works on phone also

There was a new update and this doesn’t work anymore. Do you have any idea why? I know it was recently because I was playing around with debug mode the other day...

Hey I’m using iPad and the tap S E G A works but the two finger doesn’t. Help edit: I’m using the paid veorsion.
They Removed It.
It kind of only works on certain devices, like Samsung. For others like Tesla, they just can't handle your two finger's distance in between.

For some reason my game keeps pausing when I click the top left corner, and then half to watch an ad and it then allows me to use it but when I need to switch back it pauses and makes me watch an ad

For some reason it doesn’t work for me. I want to get debug mode for my dad who has trouble beating the games so whenever I try it doesn’t work. I can do the whole “Tap the sega” thing but it’s the tapping when the character is on the screen part I don’t get. Can you please tell us where to tap?

No, it works. me and my brother pressed S E G A in order and it made a ring sound
then we hold clicked both sonic and tails, it sent us to level select and sound test and we did the code and began the game and debug mode was working, there is even super sonic

I pressed SEGA and when title screen shows up I hold two fingers and it worked
I did the debug mode code, proto palace code, all emeralds code, max continues code and secret configuration code
I changed tails name to miles

The sega logo made a romg sound but when I press near the bottom-right it didn't take me to the level select screen

It does work just a bit annoying that it pauses each time I activate debug
If you didn't get to do it just watch more videos I didn't get to do it because I was confused with the tapping then I watched another video and it helped and it's really worth it you can get the ending with debug mode way easier
I did try one in sonic 1 it works 100%

If you keep getting stuck trying to get in debug mode just press SCORE then you would get paused and turn into a ring then have to watch an ad again.and if you want to turn into sonic again repeat the process

It does work but when I messed up and tried again it didn't work, I deleted the save when I messed up and I tried again I pressed the S E G A word and it didn't make a ring sound so it didn't work. Wait didn't you say you have to do this on a no save?
