    Thanks for sharing this. What's that app you use to see images on your phone, may I know pls? it looks kinda cool

      That’s actually just me swiping back and forth between the fotos in a folder on my iPhone. It works pretty well. An app I do like to use to check the reference is called “DaVinci Eye” but that’s to overlay the reference on my camera so I can check the accuracy and proportions with instant feedback.

    Out of curiosity who was the sculptor who showed you the armature technique?

    • @AndrewJosephKeith
      @AndrewJosephKeith Před 4 měsíci

      Jason Millward from Utah. He and I were both at Utah State University at the same time. He was getting his masters and I was getting my BFA in sculpture.

    what type of clay are you using ?

  • @laur50ie
    @laur50ie Před 2 lety +1

    Do you have a different ratio for ages eg. Preteen?

    • @AndrewJosephKeith
      @AndrewJosephKeith Před 4 měsíci

      The ratios would be different. For any age under 16 I will usually find references of the specific child or similar age child and make a maquette with those specific proportions.

    What do you do with the finished sculpture?

    • @AndrewJosephKeith
      @AndrewJosephKeith Před 4 měsíci

      A lot of these small gesture studies are used as inspiration for larger pieces. They can also be molded and cast in resin or if you sculpt in polymer clay you can bake them and have a little sculpture ready to display.
