When trixie got real in the beginning with becoming an adult, I almost had a legitimate existential crisis. I wish they had continued with that and stayed serious for a bit, it was refreshing to see her talking about something real and kinda sad.

Katya talking about languages... Never related more to anyone in this life. I LOVE learning languages. It's something about being able to communicate with anyone no matter where you go, and speak with very subtle accent so no one knows where you are truly from. Fun. At the moment I only three and a half (English, Spanish, Russian, 1/2 French) but we'll go 6 for sure!

I became an adult very gradually and painfully. I wanted it more than anything and at the same time wasn't capable of it. Like I was being dragged kicking and screaming, but also clawing and crawling and fighting for every inch, all at once. I knew it was happening. It hurt so much. I was in agony and I was happier each passing moment than I had ever been as a child.
Trixie talking about going from HS to College, being too busy to visit family hits real and hits hard. Grad school has been the same experience for me. Can only go home a few times a year, and then when covid hit it was down to basically never seeing them for a year plus.
I've had the same experience during my masters, I'm in a different country but same timezone so I just harass my family on the phone at any time of the day that I get the chance to make sure I can keep up with them haha. But it's not the same.

Different things to enjoy during different parts of life. Write things down - if you read it later you will be able to see your progress. You may not even recognize yourself and realize you’ve become a new person - perhaps the person you’ve been wanting to be :)
