@@Gangstawalk1 well i got M60B40 bmw 540 E34 for last 5 years now and i have changed spark plugs once and valve cover gaskets, i change oils 10000km/year 😄 so i would say its pretty reliable.

It says 950, not 2000...what do you guys expect? Spinning wheels at 200 km/h? It's a centri blower, pulls hard on the top end.
950 is still A LOT more aggressive from a launch than this thing is.. maybe 550hp but not 950
@@danielkustra9071 heard of traction control? you dont need to hit the rev limiter before you let go of the clutch, ive had 520 wheel in my m5 and it wasnt nearly as fast as this, but i still kept up with an 2017 audi rs3 from launch
@@danielkustra9071 centrifugal supercharger. You dont get boost from the go. Can be compared to lag by a huge turbo

The last bulletproof M5 motors. Even the V10 is a prissy motor and needs to be handled with care or you get problems with just about everything.
E39 M5 was engineered to last forever even if you slap on a snail/blower. And this gearbox in manual is up there with the best!!!

It's a supercharger. Not all power kicks in at the start. It spools steadily so the power will only be seen at top end. the HP probably starts at around 550 and then it steadily goes higher up to the point of 950. When the revs are high you can see the wheels start to spin. He also does not fully press the throttle at some points because he feels the wheels spinning.
AzaZPPL finally someone who makes a sensible comment and has an understanding of how superchargers make power. also the last run he does he starts in 2nd gear. all these wisecracks making stupid comments about how there can be no way he's making that much power because an E39 with that much power is unheard of, the only reason it's unheard of is because the majority of E39 M5 owners are purists and boring, check the French dude out who has turbo'd his and drifts it, or the countless Norwegian videos of turbo'd s62 engines and even Max Marshall's e30 twin turbo s62.
AzaZPPL , and you are both fucking idiots. Superchargers are not like some turbos that spool up at 5k. Superchargers are connected by the serpentine belt and are instantaneous theoretically at the speed the engine is running. Go read some books foolish children. For any anybody saying this isnt 950 horsepower, it probably is but to the crank. Ive seen videos of 550 hp e39 m5s, and the acceleration is not nearly as violent

They think you have Spannung wheels in 4th, But I lift throttle a bit in 3rd to be faster
kyle young most likely 600hp. it has a loud exhaust system and hes launching it hard. a 950hp e39 m5 is unheard of to this day. those rubber band tires would be smoking hard with 950hp

You got to love the haters.. lol. Very nice car. The exhaust note on these cars are intoxicating. I've got a daily driven 2002 e39 M5 with Vortech V3 supercharger running 10lbs. All supporting mods but stock internals. I'm a little over 600hp at the wheels (700hp at crank) and your car is definitely a little more violent. What trans are you running? I've gone thru 2 transmissions over the past 2 years, blowing out 2nd gear on the stock getrag with sticky tires on a good launch. I'm doing my best to go a little easier on the shifts now.. Getting ready to build the internals with sleeved block, cams, ported heads and low compression pistons. It would be great if we can chat as I'm looking for similar power levels.

For those that think it’s weak because it didn’t have wheel spin; i have an e39 and it’s pretty much stock and i get wheel spin without trying. It barely has 210 hp
What engine is under the hood? What else has been done to make 950hp?

For people saying it’s not 950bhp, it probably wouldn’t do 0-60 much faster if at all than a 500bhp e39! You could give it a million horsepower, but it’s still only got 2 rear tyres to get it moving, and a 500bhp car could easily spin the wheels all the way up to 60 and beyond!
The guy is doing 1/2 mile drag runs, and lighting the tyres up for the first 1/4 mile isn’t going to make for fast runs so it’s safe to assume he’s not flooring it until he’s a fair bit down the track, you can hear when he blips it a few times just before he changes and it lights straight up, it’s obviously not going to be 950bhp from 1 rev onwards but that’s the same for any car, but I could easily see this topping 950bhp when it’s wound up the supercharger and isn’t just lighting the wheels up

Just to clarify: It says HP not WHP.
These cars lose ~15-18% through the drivetrain and they claim it's trapping ~170 mph in the half-mile. My old Z06 put ~620 rwhp and ran 163 mph .5-mile... so they're probably not far off the claim of ~900/780rwhp for this car. Can definitely tell just by the sound that it's not one of these low-boost supercharger kits from ESS and others...

Is that running a Chevrolet ls? That original engine made 286 hp how is that supercharger adding 650 hp? You cant modify much anything BMW M62 V8.

@@richardharrold9736 I've never seen E39 M5 with centrifugal SC, there is simply not enough space under the hood. And what about blow-off? It's not exclusive to turbos, in fact, i've got one in my SC'ed M5, works perfectly fine.
P.S. There is no way this car is 950 Hp - I've dynoed my car at around 600 Hp, and the acceleration is pretty much the same as shown here (you can count seconds between shifts to determine that)
