I'm 30 years old and garage rock/proto-punk whatever you wish to call it, always was and will always be my music.
No sweaters for these Grandpa's! They are all 22 years' old here! BRILLIANT TUNE!
just thinking of the night in '66 when i saw them at "Pearl's" in Bremerton, Washington. danced so late I missed the last ferry back to Seattle, had to drive around to get home. Loved these guys and their sound since I first heard "The Witch"
Very cool story, Willie B
I wish I could see them at live.😩
Pearl's, then Natasha's. Not sure what it is now.
I’m so jealous man, would’ve been the best time to be alive for music
nothing rocks like an old rocker.
Because we invented it lol
Yeahh!!! Love that!!! Old rockers still doing It. The best you can see
I agree in that I'm still learning their music in my mid 40s now, but still never know how to recreate that sound!!😂😂😂
Their sound hasn't changed in all these years
Brings back memories! We booked the Sonics for many of our high school dances at ODea HS I'm Seattle. 1963 to 1967.
My 27 year old son freaked out when he heard the saxophone on the original and again when he heard this version about 30 minutes ago.
From Brazil, here's a sick fan. Wonderful!
Yep. They still got it.
As a punk rocker I have to say The Sonics is my band completed to perfection. Dusty Watson has to be tightest drummer out there. I was born at the time, 1975, when punk rock made me cry when as a baby as it was played on the radio. Now I enjoy it to death. IMHO first there's The Sonics, The Stooges and then The Ramones. Who needs to listen to new music when there's this. It's like vintage wine and cars. Better than anything modern out there. Who needs to replace Mozart?
ROCK-N-FUCK-N-ROLL!!!!!!!!
This is how it is done!
got excited. started jumping in my shoes like an idiot when I realised that there’s gotta be other young musicians looking this shit up too.
this great and very important band in history of music are from Tacoma, south from Seattle and are over 55 years old... and still rocks heavier then back in 1965 !!
From russia whith love. This old guys still can)
What a ridiculously amazing performance! Music stripped to its raw, savage core.... 50 years hasn't a changed a thing with these guys.
Just one word... respect!
Two words. Kick ass.
well-preserved voice!
Greatest performance ever recorded in the history of bands and mankind in general
SLIGHTLY hyperbolic....but only slightly.😎
@Kenzo594 It's true. According to the laws of physics, it is humanly impossible to swing any harder than the Sonics. 😄😎
Way ahead of their time baby the young bands today can learn something!
Louie, Louie, Jimi Hendrix, Heart, Grunge. I’m so happy that the Sonics are finally getting recognized 👍👍
Wow never seen this performed live before, fantastic
Spending 40 years, getting grey and still rocking :-)
Super ambiance 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Such a fun bassline to play
to everyone saying "wow they still got it!" yea they do, because the sax player is the only original member left.
This song will get you up on your feet
rock n rolla the movie bought me here too cool
Have Love Will Travel From Greece 😎😎😎
Heard this many times... But the way it was featured on the TV show, Ozark... Now, I'm permanently hooked.
I discovered this because of fordvs Ferrari
Still fire
Excellent, no way are these blokes past their use by date!
Larry's Epi Casino sounds perfect on this, right in your face where it needs to be!!
There should be a DVD of the 2015 Tour, i'd buy 10 of them!!
mini humbucker modification???
@@ricv64 It's an Epiphone Riviera that came stock with mini-humbuckers.
They evolved into a garage punk band! This is totally garage punk.
They're a proto punk band
That`s just fantastic. I`ve got nothing more to say.
Amazing, very good.
Very Cool Dudes still Rocking out, having fun!

Love them, but made the mistake of getting to the front of a Glasgow concert a few years ago and didn’t regain my hearing for 3 days!

ME GUSTARÍA SER UNO DE LOS COMPONENTES DE THE SONICS, AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
❤️
we`ve all departed...love was in another town...
OMG😈💥
Qu'est-ce que j'aime le rock anglais...!!!!!
Not English. A US Pacific Northwest group. We booked them in our high school from 1963 to 1967.
класс!!!
Few bands can do a reunion 50 years later and still kick ass. They've still got it.
Also, I made a version of this song a while back. If you're interested, it's right here: czcams.com/video/Ief4vDismj0/video.html
Gave your version a listen it fucking sucked rip off jack white much😂
уважуха мужикам , порадовали !
satisfying
The second "guest" guitarist is Kahuna from the Tacoma band, Girl Trouble. Too bad they came up with cameras and editors and couldn't mention who was playing guitar...
girl trouble such a fantastic band
The basis
Ow? They have Dr. Who as a solist, why I am NOT surprised at all..
The base-player has a look like "i will Hurt somebody bad t'night"
What a gig! I will be 59 in two weeks. Wish i could do this. I would probably, look that mean, playing my Fender, but being loving, as I am sure he is! At our age, any groupie is a good groupie! Btw, i am 97,5 kilos, about 200 pounds i guess. Guess i can go some rounds w any heavywight you tror my way. The Great ones are gode! Ali, Frazier and so on. Only one standing is Karl Anders Lundqvist! ( oh man oh man, am I in trouble now. If I was not before, I am soon to find out!)
Are these blokes still together ?
\o/
Gangster
You could tell me this is a remaster of the original and I couldn't tell the difference. That's one suck life performance.
Ford v ferrari
The guitar sounds too clean. He needs a little overdrive.
Best thing kexp aired. Ever, kexp sucks!
When this generation is gone.... what will music evolve into? If Rap is any indication, the art will devolve into early primate whooping and grunting.
The glib conifer presently paddle because avenue unusually visit along a bad bagel. eight, bright france
Watch and learn, millenials.
I don't think the audience appreciates the occasion.
Report my comment you soy people!
