This song together with Zitti e buoni, Lividi sui gomiti e In nome del Padre, were written in response to those who did not believe in their talent and their music! Those who denigrated them and said they were worth nothing! Raging energy, the best answer they could give! Nice reaction.....thanks a lot!!

@@marinaparigiani4090 I agree with you Marina even if perhaps in the case of Mammamia Damiano refers to those who accused them of being drugged using the usual stereotypes that rock musicians always take drugs !!! When Damiano sings "spit your love on me
I'm on my knees, and I can't wait to drink your rain " he refers to all those who have poured a lot of nastiness on the Maneskins, referring in particular to the accusations of using drugs. Thanks Marina for your comment

Another very important thing to keep in mind: when you react to CORALINE (prepare for goosebumps and maybe some tears) pick a video of a studio version (NOT LIVE AT THE MOMENT) with English subtitles!
See it is a real masterpiece where the music and the meaning cannot be split up, and must be received at the same time like a magic combination

Damiano is a star and it was obvious from the first performance on x factor. He can really make you feel what he is singing. His voice is really special, very recognizable, powerful and raspy. I would say the english song are more commercial, fun, and obviously the italian ones are more introspective. He really has a talent with words. He is definitly an unique character, you should check some of his interviews to see how mature and funny, although very sarcastic he is. Torna a casa is a masterpiece, especially the unplugged version.

You nailed the message of the song and you're spot on with the English language vs Italian language songs. The English is full of the rock and roll energy and spirit and the instruments get to really do the talking even if the lyrics aren't as multilayered. The Italian is where the introspection comes in and the metaphors and imagery can really sing. The band have confirmed that they will continue to work in both languages which I think is great, some people were worried they would abandon Italian and focus on English language songs now that they are bigger but that's not the case. I would recommend reacting to the latest 1live set they performed in Germany. The entire set from start to finish was fantastic.
