- HOW do you draw a crowd at 6am in an airport? We found a piano this past week during a layover in Amsterdam...Russ started playing, and Kat started singing. We were heading home from a few performances overseas. It's pretty incredible how music can pull people in.
Update kat is now 43yrs old and is now a renowed inspirational speaker .and founded a non profit scholarship to develop young musicians.
No autotune ...no bullshit......straight talent!! Love this !!

Not only is she an amazing singer, she’s also super into giving other music lovers exposure. She gave me the amazing opportunity to sing at one of her holiday shows and it was one of the most ethereal experiences of my life. Love her :)

its amazing to see that music is still apreciated by so many... nice that the airport provides this great way of uniting people of different nationalities and religions.

EDIT: I feel kind of sad for all of those people holding up their phones during this. This was an incredible, out of the blue, once in a lifetime performance and they're missing out on the magic because they're too busy taping it.
People have gotten so fixated on the whole capture/share thing that sometimes they forget that it's ok to just **experience** life once in awhile...digital free.

A week ago I found this video while clicking through the links to Schiphol Airport public piano. Completely blown away by this impromptu performance. What can you say about Kat's singing! Russ really let it rip too. And the dude in the cap and glasses (sorry don't know his name) harmonizing perfectly. It doesn't get any better than this. I was so inspired by this performance that (I'm happy to report) I learned to play it too. Thank you!
