    He castled into all but 1 of your heavy and minor pieces

      Engine analysis aside, it seemed like a good way to play for a decisive result. Black’s king is also in danger in the middle of the board. “Both sides stand poorly” as Ben Finegold would say

    Queen side castle into your developed side, abandoning his king side attack, losing two tempo with Qg3 and Be2 when you were storming the queen side.

      This is why people need to stop relying on Stockfish.
      Just because *Stockfish* can defend a position doesnt mean *you* can.
      Human advice for how to play chess still matters very much.

      @@MyBiPolarBearMax Yep, do I know that 2.d4 is the best against Nimzowitsch Defense? Yes, but I still play 2. Nf3 and don't care about all theory of that opening. Same against French, King's Indian Attack makes people think on their own and there's a ton of potential for both sides even though engine prefers Advance Variation.

    Playing a3 prevents Bb4 but is providing a "hook" for attack with b4. This is still all fine, but you shouldn't castle queenside into that attack then.

    • @oliviapg
      @oliviapg Před měsícem +10

      The game was already completely won at that point, you don’t get more points for mating faster. He played the move that he saw was a forcing win, calling that a blunder is a bit ridiculous

      @Michal-xm9vi Před měsícem +2

      @@oliviapg yeah, from human perspective for sure. That's the reason why we still compete in chess even in today's computer era. From my experience taking some time in completely winning positions makes opponents feel like they have no chance and they usually resign before I even make the move, but as a human I don't see any problems with qa3...
