He castled into all but 1 of your heavy and minor pieces
Engine analysis aside, it seemed like a good way to play for a decisive result. Black’s king is also in danger in the middle of the board. “Both sides stand poorly” as Ben Finegold would say
Queen side castle into your developed side, abandoning his king side attack, losing two tempo with Qg3 and Be2 when you were storming the queen side.
This is why people need to stop relying on Stockfish.
Just because *Stockfish* can defend a position doesnt mean *you* can.
Human advice for how to play chess still matters very much.
@@MyBiPolarBearMax Agreed, instead players should rely on youtube comments, but that's where the real advice is 💪💪💪
@@kesatola3554 lmao, exactly, you get it 😂
@@MyBiPolarBearMax Yep, do I know that 2.d4 is the best against Nimzowitsch Defense? Yes, but I still play 2. Nf3 and don't care about all theory of that opening. Same against French, King's Indian Attack makes people think on their own and there's a ton of potential for both sides even though engine prefers Advance Variation.

« I don’t understand this line at all » so relatable
I had to slip out of Twitch before the end of the game and I'm just seeing this fun finish. Well played, and thanks to Jonathan Schrantz for the play by play!
Thanks for hiding the move notations this episode, Eric 🤜🤛
Good luck Eric!
Playing a3 prevents Bb4 but is providing a "hook" for attack with b4. This is still all fine, but you shouldn't castle queenside into that attack then.
Was exactly thinking the same, really surprised seeing him castle queenside after creating a hook.
Thank you Eric, very grateful for these daily uploads
Lichess rocks! Spicy game, congratulations!
Spicy like a bell pepper
Clinical win, Eric. Congrats!
13:33 "not exactly sure what his losing mistake was"
...showing up....
Thanks Eric!

Castling with checkmate into a mate in one threat !
Crazy how these games can go both ways so easily, if you could only see what the engine sees 😅
Saw this live. Wow!
Really nice game
well played!
It's insane to me that such young players can be so much stronger than me!
13:08 O-O# gotta be possible
Good game!

Numero uno👍

Hi Eric.
nice game, just ba3 instead of qa3 mates in like 5 moves... qa3 was actually accoarding to an engine a blunder lol
The game was already completely won at that point, you don’t get more points for mating faster. He played the move that he saw was a forcing win, calling that a blunder is a bit ridiculous
@@oliviapg yeah, from human perspective for sure. That's the reason why we still compete in chess even in today's computer era. From my experience taking some time in completely winning positions makes opponents feel like they have no chance and they usually resign before I even make the move, but as a human I don't see any problems with qa3...
you are wrong. imagine using the engine but still being wrong... you must have put in the wrong position or something
:O
Oh, I don’t like recaps. I prefer live games
Then what are you doing here?
@@user-ck5rh4ky6u Eric does no differentiation in titles, I don't know if it's a recap or a real game. That what I'm doing here
Happy like a child....against 2100 player. Dude, get a life. A wife, some kids,.....
Better than acting like a child. Once more you've gone out of your way to make some snide remark on Eric's channel. He's happy, and that bothers you a great deal. Take your own advice, get a life, and leave other people alone.
