A few more of my favorite Bat-moments:
- When Darkseid's scientists tried to clone Batman and when they extracted his memories to put on the clones, the clones started killing themselves because they could not handle the amount of pain and torment that Bruce processes on a daily basis.
- When he shot Darkseid with the same bullet that Darkseid killed Orion with.
- When Batman escaped the Court of Owls by producing a makeshift explosive out of the camera that was used to take his picture.
Great picks
from what comics are the first 2?
newbiekiller1999 The clones killing themselves were from "Baman R.I.P." and was also in "Time and the Batman". Shooting Darkseid was in "Final Crisis".
Andre Betita tx
I literally finished Batman R.I.P not three hours ago, and that was a great moment indeed. The entire epilogue was fantastic
Two moments I absolutely love that deserve mention:
1.) "His name...was FORAGER!"
2.) Batman sits and comforts Ace as she dies in "Justice League Unlimited".
It's badass moments not depressing moments
Both of those should at least been honourable mentions or something.
then names his dog ace in batman beyond
False, EVERY Batman moment is a Legendary moment.
Slightly correct, Every Legendary moment is a Batman moment!
*cough* Batman and Robin..
Even Shark Repellent?
Excluding All Star Batman and Robin
Personally to me, the most badass batman moment is when joker finishes his speech in the security cam room on the pointlessness of right and wrong, ending his rant in the form of a question, "So why can't you see the funny side? Why aren't you laughing?", then enters batman smashing through the wall sending joker falling to the floor at the same time as saying " Because I heard it before, and wasn't funny the first time!"
+ELECTRICFROST How good is the Killing Joke, right!?
YES!
"This isn't a mudpit, it's an operating table, and I'm the surgeon!"
In Infinite Crisis when Batman told Superman that the only time Superman ever inspired anyone was when he was dead.
Omarr Guerrero SHET DAYYUM HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT
"Bitten by a scorpion."
When in Batman Beyond. He tells Terry that in his mind, he doesn't call himself, Bruce Wayne.
#DCAllAccess hosts Tiffany and Blair share their favorite Top 10 Badass Batman Moments in honor of The Dark Knight's 75th Anniversary. Did some of your favorites make the list? czcams.com/video/gs5LHcjhciA/video.html
If you had to pick a JLA moment, it should have been Batman taking on the White Martians by himself.
the killing joke undoubtedly!
In the wake of Tower of Babel, Batman doesn't allow the other members of the League to vote on whether he should remain within their ranks...he walks out LIKE A BOSS!!!
I want to see the Final Crisis 6 moment, it was a badass moment too!
Christopher Boyum I totally agree with you, Batman kicked ass in that moment!
In Batman vs. Predator he winds up chasing the Predator through the woods with a baseball bat as the Predator runs for his life. The Predator was actually scared to death and wished he had never come to Gotham. Even Arnold couldn't do that. That was pretty badass.
"Because no one knows Gotham like Batman." I don't think you got the point of the Court of Owls.
Now that you mention it...you're damn right.
Asparagus Pee ha
Asparagus Pee 😂😂😂
When Bruce sits down to watch a training video of he and Damian, but starts to shed a tear (The New 52 Batman issue #20). To me this wasn't a badass moment but an AMAZING moment. It showed a side of Bruce/Batman that we rarely get to see.
I preffered the moment the Flash handed him a letter from his father in the flashpoint paradox
FaustTheVIII I have to agree with you there man, flashpoint is what really got me into comics, great stories as well. Just seen bruce's farther as batman and martha as joker as well
My favorite moment is during "Year One" when Bruce confronts the party of politicians and criminals and warns them "from this moment on, none of you are safe"... it's chilling every time.
Badass moment of Batman:
"I'm Batman"
When Batman surfed against the Joker.
Will everybody please stop saying that Batman "defeated" Superman in The Dark Knight Returns. I seem to remember that fight ending with Bruce unconscious in Clark's arms. And that's AFTER Bruce had help from Oliver Queen, Carrie Kelly, a prior nuclear explosion in Superman's face, and Superman himself trying so hard not to hurt Bruce.
Perhaps an argument could be made that Bruce faked his heart attack, and that had he kept the fight going he would have won. But nobody knows that for sure. Superman pulled a number of surprises on Batman, too, during the fight. Who's to say he didn't have any more?
I would have put the time when he shot Darkseid...
YES
How about him essentially having contingency plans for his Justice League teammates in the "Justice League: Doom" film or "Tower of Babel" storyline
I'm so glad that they included the fights from TDKR. That's one of my favorite Batman stories ever.
"The thing is this isn't a mud hole it's an operating table and I'm the surgeon"
TDKR. BATMAN ON A HORSE.
Not on a horse...but on the Bat horse!
Another one of my favorite Batman moments is in Scott Snyder's New 52 Batman. Jim Gordon us bleeding out and surrounded by Mr. BLOOM'S henchmen and Batman Returns in glorious fashion. He lands on the Bat Signal says, "Hello, Jim. Who died and made you, Batman? "
This was awesome, thx 4 this.
My favorite moment was at the end of Arkham City when he defeats Clayface even after all of the craziness of the night.
I love the part from death of the family where batman is face to face with the joker and batman says "i have knowen your name for a long time" and the joker freaks out.
I remember a moment some guy holding a pistol right to Batman´s forehead and saying something like "I´ll kill u!". Batman answers "You mean, you´ll try, right?!"...
i love that so many of these moments have been done in the DCU animated world.
my most bad ass moment was when batman said "i am the night i am vengeance i am batman" in the batman animated series... i started crying it was to awsome
He said that in arkham night aswell... Awesom
Not to be "that guy", but I don't remember you two doing anything special for Supes last year. He may not be as popular as Batman, but he's a damn good character. I know the short was created but that's it.
Because Superman is not Batman, that's why
Hoping they do some good stuff for the 85th anniversary or so
I want that shirt Blair's wearing at the end so damn bad
I have to go with Grant Morrison's "The Return of Bruce Wayne": The moment when Bruce realizes (as he's bouncing around in time because Omega Beams) the "First rule of the Batman: I was never alone." It's a huge realization for him, because he always thinks it's all on him but after his folks died there was Alfred, then Dick, Jim Gordon, Babs, Jason, Tim, Damian, etc. He has a ton of allies.
I would personally add in the Hush storyline (Batman #614), when Batman delivers what is quite possibly the single worst beating that the Joker has ever suffered, to the point that Batman starts questioning himself how he should kill The Joker. Practically every panel is Batman busting the Joker up.
The problem is it's completely against Batman's ethos to kill anyone. I liked Hush, but that entire sequence was Batman breaking down and crossing the line, failing to keep himself in check. He had to be stopped by Jim Gordon, or he would've killed Joker, damn it
the cj thats not what ethos means
really? :P I've been using that word in this way for multiple years and it always seemed correct. Correct me if I'm wrong but is ethos not the guiding principles and beliefs of a person? so I was referring to Batman's belief that killing is wrong, which guides his actions and is one of his defining traits.
No, ethos is the authority of the speaker. (i.e Batman having ethos as a detective because he has experience in that field)
phoenixzer098 wow that's quite interesting. I haven't heard that one before :P When i googled the definition that doesn't turn up too
from batman year one- when he activates a hyper sonic frequency that forces a swarm of bats to ambush gotham city
i also liked the part where he shoots darkseid
"ARE YOU MAN -- OR FIEND FROM HELL?!" From Ra's al Ghul says it all.
"I want you to remember, Clark…in all the years to come…in your most private moments…I want you to remember…my hand…at your throat…I want…you to remember…the one man who beat you." Bruce after having thoroughly wrecked Superman at the age of 60, when Superman still has all his Godly powers.
"Ready when you are." To the Hyperclan... This really sums him up; Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Flash - The entire JLA beaten, all except Bruce and he faces them completely alone. The result; Batman kicks their Martian asses and saves everyone.
Batman will forever be the greatest superhero.
great list
This made my day XD. And I think him defeating Superman was the best XD
Missed many, many major comics. How about Injustice: Gods Among Us where he takes down an evil Superman and every other metahuman who sided with Supes? Or how about the time Batman traveled to Apokolips and forced Darkseid to release Supergirl, something even Superman and Wonder Woman couldn't do.
The DC cartoons had so many awesome Batman moments. A couple of my favorites:
- Batman taking the JLA Watchtower out of orbit and flying it onto the Thanagarian base
- Facing down Darkseid to free Supergirl, with Darkseid saluting him for his commitment to destroy Apokolips to achieve his goal
Tower of Babel by FAR. He singlehandedly takes on the entire Hyper Legion with each contingency plan he's had ready. Alone and tremendously outgunned, this is his most badass moment.
I don't remember the details, but in Batman RIP Batman's mind gets erased and we find out that he secretely developed a "Backup" personality just for this case. I thought that was pretty badass, shows how Batman is always a step ahead.
As long as it's Batman we are talking about, any moment of his is perfect to me 🤩🤩🤩🤩
For me it's that moment from TDKR that begins "There are seven working defenses from this position ..." And ever since B:TAS I have been hearing that line in Kevin Conroy's immortal voice.
Batman has to be one of my favourite superheroes of all time
"Bit by a scorpion", haha...
Batman TDKR (I want you to remember...)
Batman The Killing Joke (When they laugh)
Batman A Long Halloween (The End on the GCPD's rooftop)
Batman Hush (Everything from A to Z...)
Batman War on Crime (The very end, so awesome!)
All Star Batman: The Boy Wonder (the Batmobile scene at the beginning)
Batman Monster Men (The cage scene)
Batman Under the RedHood (The last fight against Jason)
Batman Year One (When GCPD attacks him and he has to call the bats to escape)
And of course Detective Comics 33! (I shall become a Bat)
But I've to admit that in each case I've selected a story more than a particular moment in it.
Picking a Court of Owls moments, you should have picked the moment he says "They came into my house, im gonna burn their to the ground"
...YES. NOW THEY BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND!
^THIS
At the end of Arkham Asylum he flips Harvey Dent his coin and lets him decide his fate in a symbolic affirmation of the madness that makes him who he is.
you've got to do a top ten joker murders soon
Batman is a synonym of awesomeness!
Criminal (while batman has him upside down over a building roof wit the bat grapple attached to his leg) : "I dont know anything, I swear to God!"
Batman : "Swear to me!!" (releases the guy off the roof wit the grapple still attached to him, only to stop it right before impact)
I know its from the movie and not the comic, but damn that was bad ass!
ALL OF THEM
How about the time batman escaped being buried alive in a straight jacket while drugged
For me the number one moment was the one that you listed at number 10
What about when he broke Jokers neck at the end of the killing joke?
When Batman goes to Apokolips to recover Damian. He nearly looses his life, but the bat-family (and Cyborg) were by his side, and Damian is saved!
That was a great moment
8 years later and Batman still endures. Also it seems like you missed the point of Court of Owls. I like in Year One where Batman confronted the corrupt elite of Gotham he says " Ladies, Gentlemen , You've Eaten Well. You've Eaten Gotham's Wealth . Its spirit. You're Feast is Nearly over. From this moment on-- None of you are safe."
For me some of the greatest Batman moments were:
1) JLA Tower of Babel where it shows that he has a plan to defeat every Justice League member.
2) JLA New Order where Batman defeats 6 super powered members of the White Martians (Superman even claims Batman is the most dangerous man alive)
3) JLA Obsidian Age where he starts an awesome relationship with WW
4) Batman and Robin Search for Robin where he faces Darkseid with his awesome Hellbat armor in order to resurrect Damian
5) Final Crisis, where he shots Darkseid with a magic gun, making an one time exception from his rule and "sacrificing" himself
6) Superman Batman Apocalips where he saves everyone and strategically defeats Darkseid by activating the Hell Spores and demanding to free Kara Zor El (Darkseid even admits that without Batman, Superman and WW would have lost because only Batman has the strength of character to do what's necessary for victory)
7) Blackest Night: WW where it shows that Wonder Woman still had had feelings for Batman, that were so strong that allowed her to become a member of the Star Sapfires!
8) The fact that he even managed to heal his broken spine in the first place (in reality though, he should be in a wheelchair forever).
9) Green Lantern (2006-2011) #9 where he was able to fully use a Green Lantern ring.
10) Final Crisis where Darkseid tried to clone Batman, but he destroyed all of his clones by using all the bad moments of his life and turning them into a weapon!
And all the ones that were mentioned in the video
And possibly every Batman moment ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Batmans best moment was when he managed to dodge darkseids omega beam
can't it be the cape crusader first meeting with the lunatic friend, The Joker !
The best moment is Bruce rising from the pit in The Dark Knight Rises.
In the batman and punisher crossover when batman catches franks punch and saids "I said one hit castle"
In the dark knight "I'm not wearing hockey pads!!!!!" Or when he throws himself of a cliff to stop two face
Isn't that #2 moment when he laughs with Joker then he grabs his neck (and probably kills him) in the end?
Yes
Batman's face-off against Darkseid in Final Crisis.
I love the moment in Batman R.I.P when Bruce comes out of the grave and proceeds to lock his would be killers in Arkham Asylum with him and defeats them all.
Top 10 isn’t enough, you need Top infinity badass moments for me
We he survived unprotected for 24 seconds in the vacuum of space!
Please, what is the music in the background?! I need to know
I thought when Batman almost killed Joker in "Hush" was one of the best moments.
That was awesome.
Batman is so badass it should be his middle name.
Oh yeah u know that's right^_^
Batman shooting darkseid with the Radion bullet in Final Crisis.
Batman shooting Zoom
David Ndiulor he stabs zoom with a sword. He only shoots him in the movie
Batman is epic!
awesome...................
They failed to mention batman broke jokers neck 3 panels after laughing at his joke for revenge
Batman is my hero forever
Batman is a true badass
Any release date for "Assault on Gotham"
"I'm the Goddamn Batman"
EVERY bat-moment in Kingdom Come !
The superman fan boy in me has to make the point that Clark did take a direct hit from nuke before that fight and was less than up to par to fight. but still a very iconic moment. Nice list.
How about that time in the New 52 Justice League volume One when Aquaman appears and looks around at the other members and says "I don't see a leader" and Batman says "then your not looking at me" like a BOSS.
Forgot the part in the Killing Joke where Batman kills Joker, or at least nearly does.
The scorpion stung Batman, and three days later, the scorpion died.
Jonathan Gum Chuck Norris isn't afraid of sharks, he is afraid of batman
Dylan Givargiznia Batman visited the Virgin Islands for a weekend, when he left it was just called "The Islands."
In this video, it incorrectly asserted that the scorpion bit batman, which in actually fact the scorpion stung him, this annoyed me slightly
awesome
Badass moments in comics
Badass moments in the cartoons, the best one is frrom Justics league where he holds the hand of Ace until she died in the episode of Epilogue
And there are so many other good ones
Batman❤️❤️❤️
my favorite moment was a crossover with batman and spawn!
Someone know the background music?
Has to be the moment from Morrison's RIP where the Joker himself bets on Batman surviving against all other patrons of Black Glove club saying that Batman always wins - "you're in his box now"
PS they forgot to mention that after that smile in the Killing Joke Batman snaps Jokers neck
Think you guys could've mentioned the fight in Court of the Owls where a drugged up Batman still kicks the crap out of their Talon in the maze.
Also, I find Dick Grayson Batman's habit of headbutting anyone who tries to tie him up and interrogate him in "The Black Mirror" to be hilariously badass!
I would say it is a toss up between the end of "Return of the Joker" and the "Epilogue" episode from Justice League.
Of course I’d put when he knocks out Guy Gardner with one punch and walks away.
The way the guy said Ras made my ears bleed...
I know, it's pronounced rash even though it is spelled ras
HA HA HA I don't know, I've heard the language actually does pronounce it like "Roz"
HA HA HA No, it isn't. It's an Arabic word and it's pronounced "Ra's"
"Interestingly enough, after Batman Begins was released, I read a long discussion about this with some military folks that had a deep background in middle eastern names and languages (arabic in this case).
The conclusion ended up being that either pronunciation is actually correct: Raz al Ghul or Raysh al Ghul - translated, they both mean 'The Demon's Head'. I guess it's a potayto/potahto thing. :)"
--Some Guy
Adam Johnson No. No matter what accent it is (I've heard a lit of Arabic accents), its always with an "ss" not a "ysh". With a "ysh", it sounds like feather of the demon.
When Batman says, "I'm Batman"
Batman when he was willing to break his one rule when he shot Darkseid
Nice one guys. Batman was 55 in the Dark Knight Returns not 60. You work for DC right?
What about when Batman has to stop Darkseid with the Magic Bullet, saying he'd made a solemn vow against firearms, killing Darkseid and being sent through time himself?
I would have included the scene from Venom where he has Alfred lock him in a room for a month as he goes cold turkey to free himself of his Venom addiction. Batman does not need Narcotics Anonymous to deal with his issues.
After the Hyperclan takes out the JL, Batman deduces who they are, and how to defeat them. Surrounded by superpowered beings, Batman lights a match, and destroys them as he continues to raid their compound.
