Clearing SR 410 Chinook Pass for the 2021 season

Clearing SR 410 Chinook Pass after its winter closure is no easy task. It takes a ton of work to clear the avalanches to make it safe for our maintenance crews to then clear the many, many feet of snow off the highway. Here's a look at the work that went into clearing the highway so that we could get it reopened by Memorial Day 2021.
