- Today on MTG Arena I'm going to be showing you the most OVERPOWERED combo that exists in Standard. That's right it's a Nyx Lotus Peer into the Abyss Underworld Dreams Deck! This combo is in the Mono-Black color scheme so it makes it even easier to play and to create the deck! The plan? Get down Underworld Dreams on turn 3 followed by Nyx Lotus on turn 4 and finally the coup de grace you play Peer into the Abyss on turn 5 and laugh your way to victory!

Watched this a few times now. Love the concept 🤩. I think grim tutor would be perfect for this deck in cases where you end up going past turn 5. Would shore up the search for your missing pieces more consistently.

I ran a similar deck with Grim Tutor and Wishclaw added. Never used the Lotus though...! . This deck looks like loads of fun, thanks!
I have to say my version of this deck is as of now my alltime favorite deck. I just run 6 creatures, 3 murderous and 3 solemns but it holds up pretty well till turn 6 for the combo. Its so satisfying.

Yeah luckily it will be available in historic and i think it'll still be good enough to keep up in historic here and there
This deck is great! Really been enjoying your channel, man. Appreciate the Pro Tips on the screen too. It really reinforces the thought process behind your plays which is helpful. I'm running this deck and it's not that bad as a meta match up. Any idea what I could swap out to run board wipes?
At LEAST you did it :) !!!! THE BEST COMBO IN THE META. More efficient with blu-black with tefeiri on yourself or underworld dreams on your opponent, either way = win !!! You can use Grim tutor to get the card you need faster.
I've been playing this deck since weeks (on my own) and I got to diamond tier 1 with it, can't go Mythic, at this level too many counter spells and enchantment breakers so believe me, you need removals and board wipes otherwise you won't have time to set up the combo against aggro decks or control decks.
Now we're gonna see "Germrazer" or "light of hope"," heliod's intervention" in every deck to counter this combo .

That is a cool combo. I have been playing a different simic version with ramp and grim tutor/far if wishes o run the combo consistently in turns 4, 5 or 6
I play a variation of this deck, but I use the grey merchant combo with vito as an alt ending, I also use board wipe and removal spells to get me to turn 5/6 with some life left, (erebos intervention, ritual of soot) Never thought about the nyx lotus, going to try it. Tahnks!
Yeah I always sacrifice removal and counter play when it comes to slimming down the deck because I'm just all about the fun of it at heart and not the reality of hey my opponent also plays cards 😅😅 but vito with grey merchant is always a fun combo! 👍
@@garth2445 I use 4, it works well in most meta decks, except big creatures, let GDW. To use Nyx Lotus I took out erebos intervention and elspeth nightmare.
Culling the weak x2 by turn 4 and can cast both cards at the same time off your 10 total mana😎. Just drop your scorpions or knights (Or whatnot) turn 1 and 2.
Running Ugin instead of Rankle, thanks to the ramp. Funny on Arena, testing it tomorrow at FNM. Any sideboard tips?

It can be countered by destroying the underworld dreams right when you cast Peer into Abyss, pretty much turning the game around ;o But that's the risk. Also, players would have to keep that spell in hand...
I guess I'm not the only one who put together this combo.
I searched for it after using it in Arena. I haven't been using Nyx Lotus though. I didn't see anybody doing the same so I was wondering if I had gotten a youtubers attention. I figured others must have figured it out, but didn't think it was well known.

this deck looks really fun im more of an EDH player myself but i like playing arena to dabble
You should try making a combo with peer into the abyss with a tetris tutelage. You target yourself, draw half your deck and your opponent mills their entire deck
Think I would pull the priests and slot in 4th copies of the combo pieces. I would also pull a rankle and the murder riders for sweepers, your combo works without extra devotion from creatures.
Loving this deck, opponent had no idea what I hit him with.
Played this deck or one very similar to this. Played a Niv Mizzet and they played this combo....bye Felicia! So good. Nivs effect triggered before theirs.

Was wondering the same thing. Also not sure why there are creatures when it could just be pure board wipes for the ultra aggro decks.
I run obnix in this deck to basically have more copies of underworld dreams with a kill option

You missed lethal in the last game a turn early, could have swung in with the knight, then grey merchant would have hit for the last 5.
Bowmasters does the same thing only very slowly.

Is enchantment defined as a permanent card?
Yes it is 👍
Anything that stays on the battlefield is a permanent.
Only instant and sorcery spells are not permanents.
0-5 playing with this deck so far in unranked. Sorry but I cannot see how you can win with the aggro meta.
You have to put board wipes in your deck, many of them. Cry of the carnarium, ritual of soot, event of extinction, heartless act, etc... Then you'll see the difficulty is not aggro decks but counterspells or destroying enchantment cards. Good luck :)

This deck as shown in the video is very underwhelming. The winrate is way below 50% and the chance to pull the combo off is ridiculously low. I would not recommend to spend your precious wildcards on it.
Am I the only one who think's that this is a cheap ass combo I mean wtf, sooo boring to play and play against
