Your story is so similar to mine. I've always been somewhat mildly anxious about things in general and health, but about 4 weeks ago I had the first panic attack I've ever had. It started with heart palpitations, I went to urgent care and they told me to go to the ER (panic rising). I drive myself to the ER and on the way there, I get into traffic. I'm thinking "I'm not going to make it in time, somethings wrong with my heart and I'm going to die and leave my children with no mom." The panic was completely overwhelming, my heart rate was in the 150s, I could feel it everywhere in my body. My vision went crazy, I could feel weird "rushes" up and down my body, completely couldn't think. And I was driving. Terrified, and sure I was going to pass out at any second and lose consciousness. It never happened. It was all a panic attack. Ever since, the health anxiety has been extremely high. I've had ekgs, chest xray, blood tests to check for everything including blood clots, physical exams for neurological problems, and now am awaiting an mri appointment for brain and spine because now I fear a neurological condition because I've been dizzy, limbs weak/tingly/numb/etc. I've been to optometrists, ophthalmologist, and the GP multiple times. Just the fear never stops. And with the fear, comes the physical symptoms. I relate completely. It's hard but after all the tests, we just have to trust the doctors and treat the anxiety. Thank you for this video. Also from indiana. Lol

Guys I ve just recover from the health anxiety and I can that all these symptms you are worrying about are long term anxiety responses. After I finally accept and got relief from the fact that they were not related with any disease After 1- 2 day All my numbness fatigue and feeling feverish went away.Ive watched other peoples heallth anxiey stories and finally felt heard and then I release all my worries and All these symptms and genrally feeling unwellness went away.So just understand that thats common thing for peoplw who experienxe with health anxiety to have symptms like numbness fatigue tingling sensation shortness of breath chest pain spine pain muscle pain and maybe headache. So if you understand that theyre normal responses for long term stress and not any disease or condition You will get rid of them in couple days.Ily have a great day.

It takes alot for otherwise healthy people to develop these issues. I have bdp and npd in my family but was a healthy kid. Never saw a doctor or dentist until adulthood. Its unfortunate how we cam feel alone and forsaken with our struggle with anxiety, depresaion, panic, dark.thoughts, trouble sleeping, trouble functioning.
Cracked but not broken it a good way to put it but we need to heal the cracks. Medication helped me very little. The feeling of being neglected and abandoned was the worst. Im a father of 2 sons in a difficult relationship and have reflected on the narcisism and abdobment in my life and it makes me sad. I want healthy friendships.

I sometimes have to talk to someone so it can pull me back into reality so to speak..... I'm glad you made it through that...it definitely does get better ♥️

I’m so sorry about that horrid experience Joab and I’m sending prayers to you! Hang in there. I’m struggling with it right now as I’m young almost 20! Yes it’s a terrifying experience and I just try to distract myself by listening to music. The physical affects that I experience with it is chest pains, fast heart rate, sometimes headaches, thoughts and a fear of dying. But thank the lord you are ok because you went through so much. I couldn’t of gone to a hospital and an ER. I would be terrified! But much love. And take care. 🙏🏻❤️

Dude it’s crazy how much this relates to my experiences. I try to push it off like I don’t have anxiety. But, I still think I have a problem health wise. Not my anxiety. It’s been over a year an I still deal with this. It sucks how many times I feel like I’m dying. I absolutely hate it so much. I beg god to help me sometimes. It’s really sad I never talk about my feelings with anyone. I need to find ways to help it.

Great news except the fact i had fallen into the health anxiety trap before that news. Now I'm dealing with weak legs and feet that do stuff from numb to hurt to being fine whenever they want. This has happened to me, dude.
This has always been my biggest Achilles heels
My kryptonite, it heavily cripples me and takes me out of commission
Trust me dude, I have had this issue since I was like 17
My worst episode (well so far this one as well) was when I was 23, thought i had some some form of cancer/brain issue
And literally, went off the rails for two months
Stopped showing up to work, became a hermit, barely ate, never wanted to eat,
Just watched videos and googled symptoms
That’s how bad it got, instead of getting checked up I decided to hold out
NEVER DO THAT, especially if you are prone to being nervous
Stuff like that will just became a habit or return
You have to confront it whether it’s fact or fiction, doctors appointment, or taking a therapist view
Do something, don’t just sit. Be proactive
Another thing that has made health anxiety worse is these god forsaken videos on the internet that are on TikTok where they either fear monger or go off short term graphs and charts
You have to be able to navigate by first confronting your fears

I stopped going to go buy food. Watched the whole thing. Im currently dealing with anxiety myself. A few days ago I randomly had a symptom and therefore googled the symptom. After seeing the results on google i had a panic attack and my throat was closing up and my hand started swelling as well. I wasnt able to eat any longer and in fact havent ate in 4-5 days. I had extreme nausea and ended up vomiting. I also got chills and hot flashes. Following that up i had extreme fatigue to which i still do today. I havent went to work in 2 days and i dont know if im ever ready to go back as i work 5 days out of the week. All i do now is lay in bed constantly sleeping and constantly tired. My weight also dropped from not eating. Hopefully i get through this.

    • @Joab03291999
      @Joab03291999  Před 2 lety

You will. I have had legitimately any symptom you can name and all tests came back fine. I’ll list as many as I can, and know that these symptoms are WITHOUT having a panic attack as well. Dizziness, lightheaded, unsteady on my feet, head jerking when really anxious, extreme tiredness and fatigue, brain fog, bad intrusive thoughts, really bad headaches, sudden and sharp headache pains, abdominal pain, derealization, depersonalization, having a hard time coming up with words, feeling confused, no appetite, feeling hot, chills, nausea, tingling, muscle tremors when trying to sleep or even during the day, feeling like my sense of touch has reduced, numb-ish fingertips and toes at times, numb-ish feeling skin, groin pain, extreme fear, constant everyday feelings of dread or like I’m about to die, chest pain, side pain. All of these I had looked up on the internet and a lot of these never came up that it was anxiety. That’s what’s so dangerous about the web. The internet isn’t going to list every symptom because everyone is different and not everyone writes an article on all bodily or mental symptoms. Trust me when I say that you’re fine. Get reassurance from your doctor and get some tests done and then live your life. You’ve got this ❤️

You lose water weight first when you don’t eat, you can notice a good amount of pounds dropping off when not eating because water weight is the first to go, followed by fat burning next. Just came across your video.. hope you’re doing well since you posted this. I’ve been dealing with anxiety and panic disorder for 12 yrs… health anxiety being my major lol I get the exact same way talking about my symptoms. Especially visiting my doctor. They know to wait to take my pulse/heart rate till the end of my appt due to my anxiety. I’ve had every test you can name and I’m still here. So just know there really is hope and there are techniques to help us all in the same boat. Health anxiety is the worst. I know exactly what you mean about the weird pain in your face. I get hot and a strange swoosh in my head into my face and the feeling of lightheaded or almost feeling faint. It’s a scary intense feeling. I learned now… don’t fight it. Hoping all is better for you.

I had a panic attack whilst in hospital, because the lady in the next bed was talking about how she tried to take her own life.
I was hooked up to a machine and when my panic attack started, i flat lined! All the alarms started going off and nurses came running over.
I told her my doctor said it wasnt possible and she said yes it is. I asked after that to be taken off the machine. She told me no, but turned the volume down low as it was sending my anxiety threw the roof all night listening to the beeps, waiting for a flatline 😢
