Well KZN has tall buildings and good roads, so your sentiment is not surprising. One thing you cannot claim is a cultural proximity because South Africa supplied zero slaves, and cannot therefore be attributed to any influence of black America behaviour. My hope for black American women visiting any part of Africa is that A) the experience will help to reduce their natural suspicion of, if not hostility to, men. B) There is not, and there can never be, a country where women control or lead men. Someone will be in control of the family, and it will never be the woman. If black Americans can learn to accept this reality, it will be better for them that the land and houses they covert and secretly desire to extract and expropriate from South Africans at low cost. The worst thing South African women can do is to learn anything from black American women, unless it comes from a maths or science text book.

This was a truly amazing experience. You and Ashley did an outstanding job organizing everything- the transportation, the activities, the accommodations. The food was fabulous! ❤ Now, I have a greater understanding and respect for the development needs, the culture and traditions in the rural areas. I'm looking forward to visiting South Africa again someday! Thank you for blessing us with this beautiful experience.

Just make sure you are not seduced, or induced, by talk of slavery to cede the little land you to black Americans. As it is, you black South Africans have less real wealth than practically any other Africans on the continent. The poor Africans in war-torn eastern Democrat Republic of Congo, where Ramaphosa has foolishly sent young South Africans to die, while the young Congolese who should be there fighting for their country are enjoying themselves in Durban, are able to move onto any piece of land or water way, begin to farm or husband livestock. In your country, all the land and cows are owned by the Boers... What land I see belonging to you is on steep mountain slopes...The hard cold reality is that you do not owe black Americans anything. You never sold anyone into slavery, and you are not responsible for sins of Ghana, Nigeria or Gambia. This is important because time after time, black Americans have used this emotional lever to extract concession after concession from weak and gullible Africans, which usually involves the transfer of land...Please look up Black Acres of Gambia, or Blackxist, while on the issue of the condescension of these people, look for Art Carthey, all on CZcams. Be more accommodative of them than you are of other black Africans, but do not fall prey to their schemes. The only people in the Western hemisphere that you owe anything to are the Cubans, who together with the Angolans fought your war of freedom.

Thank you. Let me clarify what you said since you are trying to be nice about it. "I hope these black Americans are not coming here to buy up our land in South Africa, and make it even more difficult for us own our own land". You do not owe black Americans a damn thing. You South Africans did not sell anyone into slavery, and the only Westerners to die for your freedom were the Cubans. So do not listen to the sob stories. If it was running away from oppression they wanted, they would go to Sierra Leone, Gambia, Senegal, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, etc, where their ancestors come from. This is all about economic opportunism. I am saying this so that all you South Africans go into this with your eyes wide open.

@luthovellem, inganika umdla lento ufuna ukuyenza ukuba ungenza iresearch ungapheleli kwiiblack Americans. Amanqaku endikupha wona:
      1. eEastern Cape asiyidingi ingxaki eziblack Americans, ziyingxaki konke apho zihamba khona eAfrica (Ghana, Tanzania, Gambia babalasele apho), akukho nto ezizakuyenza eEC engenakwenziwa ngabantu baseEC xa benokugoduka bayokuphuhlisa iindawo zabo. Amathuba ezolimo nawe small and medium size businesses eEC ngawabantu baseEC. Ndise EC mna ngoku ndiyabona, abangaphandle mabaye kwi big business opportunities, amathuba angafikelelekiyo.
      2. Ungayiphathi eyomhlaba umhlaba kumaphandle aseEC kakhulu eBorder neformer Ciskei ayingowee black Americans ngowabantu bezolali, ukuba uyaqhubeka uze uqiniseke ngokuthetha nezazi nabaphathi kuqala otherwise uzakubasengxakini.
Umntu ofuna umhlaba eEC ongeyonzalelwane okanye isizukulwane selali uthenga umhlaba weeTitle Deeds kwii agents. iiBlack Americans zithanda izisulu and ngoolova.
      3. Imbali nezithethe, wenze uphando nzulu ngoba kukho umkhuba wokubeka phambilibi iANC nabantu bayo xa kuthethwa ngeEC, ngeANC engenanto yakwenza neEC engaphezulu kwamanye amaphondo. Kubekwa phambili uMandela, Tambo, Mbeki, Winnie nabanye abangangenindawo bengenanto yakwenza nembali namaXhosa, nesiXhosa ngoba abangawo amaXhosa.

This is a lie. Black Americans are not children, and they are not South Africa. You are emotionally allowing yourself to be caught up in their nonsense. What they want is cheap land, even the little land that you Zulu own, so that they can buy it and turn all of you into renters, while they return to Chicago. Black Americans came from West Africa. Zero slaves came from South Africa. You should welcome them but do not be gullible or naive. Make sure you retain your land and houses. You have no obligation to share anything with anyone, especially people who did not die in the struggle for your freedom.
