I’m here for the off-the-cuff reviews 🙌🏼 I’d like to give Baldwin another try because I read Giovanni’s Room and I was…not prepared hahah the melancholy of that book put me in a slump but I think a lot of that had to do with my incorrect expectations going in. S.A.Cosby has been on my TBR for ages! One day 🙃
Again by J.L. Seegars and When we found our purpose by Natasha Bishop are two of my favorite second change romances. Again is a quick novella and When we found our purpose is the third book in Natasha Lost and Found series. Just brought Goal and Holding been holding off hope they would be on kindle unlimited
If you like second chance romance, you have to check out Paradise by Judith McNaught. Look, it is a romance from the 80s, but when I tell you I have read this book like three or four times and my best friend has had to buy multiple copies because she's read it so many times the book was falling apart, that should let you know it's a least worth a shot. Also, it is a duology. Paradise is the first book and then Perfect is the second book. The first time I read it, I read it in a weekend. Could not put it down.
A quick synopsis: Matt, a blue collar kid trying to make his way out of steel mill Indiana, meets Meredith, a debutant and daughter of a very rich department store mogul, at a ritzy party. They fall in love, but are cruelly torn apart. Misunderstanding ensues and they come to hate each other. Fast forward eleven years, and they are now both very successful, him as a corporate raider and her as the presumed heir to the department store throne. But they avoid each other at all costs. Until something happens that makes avoiding each impossible. And what ensues is just romance book perfection.
Well, looks like I’ll be giving Look Closer a shot 😁
Look Closer is a must on my TBR list
I’ll be picking up GOAL, and HOLDING because of this video 😊
