Wow there's some really good stuff in this video that we hadn't heard before about how he's thinking about what the limitations and roadmap for this really is. Cool!
To the industries that choose to grow with this and similar products.. the huge advantage will be theirs. Others will simply become others that were once in the race.
it all about comfort for maximum eye ball time. i got jiggly eye so i hope they have reverse stabilization tracking that allows for tolerances on there side so they know how to better serve my future experiences with my auto feedback funtion so i can help them help help them. wait. am i them or are they them? nope they are they and they are you. Alex:"I have no interest in hyping these products." Microsoft website- "Find out where you can demo the HoloLens in the cities listed below." E3 gamers event- Shows Minecraft on the HoloLens. Be honest Microsoft. You hyped up the HoloLens at many consumer related events, Not that that's a bad thing. I feel that the MWC wasn't the best venue to showcase a non-consumer product, a reason for some of the disappointment of some people.
The context of the "no interest in hyping" statement is that the capabilities and potential are currently very focused on non-consumer use. As comments show here, people want this more widely but google tried that sort of hyping and got buried with their glass concept. There are uses and development on applications that are targeted such as surgical imagery that Microsoft is rightly hyping.
AHH YES!!! It does exist. In Us!!! How else can we make this stuff up!!!! Math my brain does automatically that I cant even come close to solving that multi Plexing TDM math to this day!!! Wait. Its automatic. O. The miracle!!!!! See ya on the dragonfly VR courses in our back yards from our EZ chair. No brainer fun. but for some real fun. Make up stuff that doesnt need to adhere to known Physyx in any universe. wait wait. Dont delete me bro!!! unless im sticking my head out of a trench that has lasers just above it!!! With Love. always the way. 4 me anyways. What we will witness next is here!!!
yeah today i couldnt even type a thing like that. I think i better dial it back out here... to zero!!! LOL Thanks for the price check. Looks like the meds were working too good. I just read it just now. yea It only makes sense to me. Im to far gone to explain. Comunication is not a strong point of mine. The design sucks. No sane person will wear that outside. The design needs to be stylish and that when people see they’d think they can wear it everyday without looking ridiculous. They need to be comfortable and lightweight, just like wearing regular eyeglasses. And it also needs to be reasonably priced.
ANGELO yes all those features HD camera, sensors, eye tracking, face recognition, facial expression recognition, etc. need to fit in a gucci-style eyeglass frame
Cybertronian Sniper So Microsoft then?Look, even if it there was another fantasy company even they would need to pass the phase where it's as bis as the HoloLens is first. Cell Phones were huge before we could put them in our pocket and now fold them. It's kind of silly to think such a technology could be developed so miniature right out the gate. The sensors in the HoloLens started with the Surface Table Top (Pixelsense 2.0) devices and we're huge. They made it smaller and made the kinect. Then they made it even smaller and made the HoloLens then HoloLens 2. If you're looking for the company that's going to make this into a small glasses sized device, you are looking at it. Microsoft is it. They are the only ones who has 10+ years of working with these sensors.
I appreciate he mentioned VR as well as AR and XR. He seems very chill and +1 for not overhyping.
This guy is on a whole different level.
Pabami yeah, but Microsoft is not. Put a Corvette engine in a horse drawn wagon, and that's what you get
This guy is genius, so much to learn just from his thought process
Totally agreed. I wonder what they could do with a heathy supply of graphene.
Also love his delivery. You can tell he's interested and dedicated, not some guy from marketing trying to push the latest junk
No hype, all substance. Love it.
Microsoft: empower this guy.
Reinoud they're already past the fluffer stage of this spectacle.
He seems to be a hardworking guy👍
More of these videos! Awesome.
HoloLens 3 -> bye bye iPhone, Great video, love that Alex is under-hyping this amazing device.

Excellent that Microsoft is doing this instead of sticking with what version of bloated windows to release next :)
Um gênio brasileiro.
Ele é brazuka?
Great direction seen here in Microsoft.
I want to see this as a consumer product.
I’m waiting to be able to use these instead of dragging my laptop around.
To the industries that choose to grow with this and similar products.. the huge advantage will be theirs. Others will simply become others that were once in the race.
How come it can't be a full 360 view?
You mean full field of view? Processing power and form factor.
So Aguma will exist soon~
Still doing Burning Man, Alex?
Drone warfare the future!!!!! Yay
Interesting
Well, he's definitely smarter than Sheldon.
Yes, an inventor/engineer is a tiny bit smarter then an actor.

Hololens are great, but damn it's annoying too listen too him by saying 'hmm' whole the time.
Lasse Yeah don’t focus on these type of things listen to what he says instead.
Just make sure to lock your room when you do your... Ehem "scientific research"

Cybertronian Sniper you mean magic? Cuz, the sensors alone are bigger than glasses. Pipe dream at this point.
ANGELO yes all those features HD camera, sensors, eye tracking, face recognition, facial expression recognition, etc. need to fit in a gucci-style eyeglass frame
That's 10 years away. we are not there yet. so your gripes are moot.
ANGELO whoever develops it first is going to be a trillion dollar company real quick
