Seeing the Broadway revival of Parade (2023) was vocally the best piece of musical theatre, I have ever witnessed in person. Stunning! I also think this is probably the fourth or fifth time that Ben Platt has me cry with his vocals. 😘
I went and we had a standing ovation that night for the song!! We even made micaela break character first following ben with the biggest smiles ever!!!!
Have they another national of this show? I can't find any information regarding that. If I am being honest, instead of another US Tour, I would rather see a feature film version with Ben and Micalea reprising their roles.
I saw this on June 29TH and it was one of the best experiences live. We were in the fourth row and I had only listened to old red hills of home and this is not over yet and it became my second favorite musical ever
Late reply, but my understanding is there's still a lot of bitterness toward him doing the DEH movie. That may have played a part because he was brilliant. I also saw SLIH and the audience favored J over the rest of the cast.
I saw this in July. Why do you think he sat through the entire intermission? I assume it was to illustrate time passage and frustration/isolation leo would have felt. I would think that was fatiguing for Ben, though. It was a great role for him, and I enjoyed him better than previous Leos.

I saw them the night before the Tony’s and this song brought the house down. Their voices are literally magical together.
I don’t get why people hate on Ben Platt, his voice is GORGEOUS 😭😭😭

Saw it on its last preview march 15th. Can honestly say that it is the best musical I have seen live on broadway.
