In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Seems like I'm watching twice the amount of commercials and half the time with Mike The Scavenger.
I agree, seem the commercials have doubled or more, yuk
@@timothygibson7033 agreed, getting ridiculous!
But you can skip them and he probably gets some money from them so can't blame him, got to get paid!!

Give them a good clean and even put on some shades make a few £

Mike I must tell you, I have been watching you for quite awhile… my 5 yr old grandson just comes in the room and says, “ are you watching all right all right!!!!” He’s so cute!!!!
Absolutely, good energy, keep up the good work, Mike.
I liked the lamps....great video again buddy.❤️
Thanks, M8ke!💜💙💜
I use a treadmill motor on a band saw.
Mike, love your adventures. A couple observations. 1) When you have to move stuff several times it costs time and time is the most valuable thing. 2) you unscrewed a steel A/C recharge can and left it. Minor thing but it cost you time to remove can when you were already keeping the gauge.
Only in the 90s lol. Sooooo funny!
I’m a painter and was yelling “OMG Save those brand new canvases!!!” 😂🤣
The sewing machine cabinet, the little drawers are saleable. Most of the time people are missing one drawer. Might check it out. Enjoy the videos.
Those are magnified glasses.🐎
I used to dive in wildland firefightin boots. Dont want to go out like achilles did and less worry of dumpster juice

How many people said “Thanks” when Mike said nice mug?
Mid-century modern is a very popular decorating style and it's main color is turquoise blue. Those lamps may have more hope than you think.
I would totally snag those off FB marketplace
Great find
Love those lamps! Perfect for a beach house, too.
Got to be strong 💪
Almost everything that I find in the trash that’s electronic or mechanical etc...I would think it wouldn’t work but 90% of it does work...vacuums generally just need cleaned...I found a smart tv that I repaired with a new capacitor...took me 5 minutes to fix it...I’m amazed at how much is thrown out that’s still in good shape...
our neighbor had a 52" tv sitting by their garbage that we took and it worked fine. I don't know why they threw it out.
Those flux capacitors will get ya every time! LOL!
You can use treadmill motors for generators. 400 rpm is about 14.5v and you can run your house with it connected to batteries.👍😉
I just a few more to watch then I will be all caught up.
Wow, he has well over 350 I have seen and keep finding more.
Bless you
Great video! I know about those treadmills. Mine went bad and a new part was going to be $200 + and shipping. So my son and I loaded it up in an SUV and drove it down our long driveway and someone picked it up. HEAVY!!!!!!
Cool pickups
You do a great job. Love your video..
Seeing you almost bite the dust in those opentops made me think, today is NOT a good day to die! Be careful cuz I love your vids man 😊
Hi MTS 👋🏻! That display box is great to put in all different kinds of memories from weddings to birth of a baby. I have one and I put small shelves in it. Loaded it with tiny little miniatures. My grand kids call it the “I Spy” box. They love searching out tiny treasures.
1st you make fun of the lamps then you take them anyway. Haha.
Yahhhhhhhhhhhhh miss you
♥️ you to mike.
Hoping it's a great dive. Stay out the juice! See you on the other side.
I'm so glad you have the steel toe shoes

Yeah Mike, thanks for letting us know about those holes.
18:49 thanks for warning me Mike, I would have fallen right in.
Those treadmill’s got some nice motors in them
You adjust those glasses on the side.

' theres a hole there" new t shirt idea
“I don’t see a sewing machine”, 2 minutes after he throws it in the truck lol. Mike having a senior moment.
That was a hydraulic car jack
@@MikeTheScavenger you called it a sewing machine as your threw it in the back of Dotty. It is all good Mike all good cause at the end of the day it still adds up $$$$
@@MikeTheScavenger lol glad you did not get hurt especially with all that tin and sharp stuff.
Yes. A sewing machine you took home with you. You seemed rushed & I may say careless today. Love watching always enjoy
@@Mrs.T-bone Easy to criticize while you're sitting on your ass behind a phone. 👍
#20 lol thanks!
Yoooo.Nice video mike
Hubby and I love to watch your videos together. We aren't allowed to watch new videos without the other. 😊
Mike always makes us laugh.
Very impressive, how strong you are!! Good job! ❤️❤️
I bet your wife could make that display case pop I love everything she has done very gifted lady
Hi Mike. Retail on those fancy art frames starts at $20/each. The canvas panels run $5-10/pack. Frames are very expensive these days, especially wooden and ornate ones. A 16x20” frame starts at $40.
The lamps look like beautiful accent items, give it value. Wooden boxes are popular, divided into squares, filled with different kinds of beans or other things as decorative wall hangings. I am your biggest fan.
Dewd check out my fav band ever the wilders "hey lil darlin" best ever!
Just an early guess but the honeywell... I think is for multiple security cameras. It's locked to secure the drive. Should be able to sell fairly easily I would think.
God bless you
Lovein' it. Good stuff. Peace.
You make my week
Yoooooooooo
Display case like you might use at yard sale or flea market, can put a lock on.🐎
Hi Mike. I posted this on a previous video but it probably already too many responses for you to read and I really wanted you to see this so I'm reposting here;
Hi Mike, I hope you get a chance to read this. This is my story and your part in it. It started about 2 and a half years ago when I stumbled on one of your videos. Due to a health scare I had radically changed my diet. Not only did this change improve my health but resulted in a huge increase of energy and ambition. You inspired me to dive. I began looking for good saleable items. Like you I realized the vast scrap potential and started to drag home al the scrap I could find (yes, I say "scrapity scrap scrap". This led me to begin outright scraping. Putting up ads and ad picking up scrap. At the time I was driving a GMC Jimmy. At the time scrap prices were in the toilet. After about 6 months I realized that I didn't want to sell scrap at that price. Fortunately for me I didn't need the money and had the space to score scrap. They only thing I sold were good items. I scrapped hard, picking up scrap on my way home from work and breaking down scrap in my free time. I bought a shitbox truck, and eventually a 16 foot trailer. I started selling steel about a month ago. I'm still hanging on to my non ferrous. I have approx. 100,000 pounds of steel on hand and thousands of pounds of copper, aluminum, stainless, brass, and lead. I still dumpster dive but that s no longer my focus. I've made the decision to retire from my regular job at 59 years old and scrap full time. Right now I am recovering from a minor surgery that I wanted to take care of while I still had good insurance. After I recover I will put in my notice and become a full fledged scrapper. I now own 3 trucks, 2 trailers, a Bobcat skid steer, and most of the tools I need. I just wanted to tell you my story, your part in it, give you a big thank you, and say God bless you in your journey.
You should mail him your story. That way you know for sure he sees it. Many blessings.
Email him or message him on his Instagram. He definitely replies on Instagram. Great story!
get that plywod,lol
HEY MAN....I THINK THE SNOWBOARD...GLASSES AND REM COMPUTER IS ALL FOR VIRTUAL SNOWBOARDING GAME

*That Honeywell unit is a camera controller for connecting multiple CCtv cameras to probably has a built in recorder too*
NO NO WEEZE DA JUICE!!
I’m glad that you rescued those two blue lamps. I just hate to see so many things thrown out.
I just got one of those tread mills.
My friend has one that goes in his cellar when he is storing wood in the basement for the winter time.
He turns on the tread mill and the wood goes flying to a pile.
Quick and easy.
I use the motors to make wind generators. I use the controller board and add some components to do what I want.
That recorder box you picked up might have the ssd in it.
There is an event it us called Field Day.
Qhe try e all the Amateur Radio Operators set up and this is done ones a year for contesting contacts all over the globe.

My cousin as a teenager decided she had to make the pilgrimage to Ron Jon Surf Shop (in Cocoa Beach, FL). Back in the day that was normal for teenagers to do, don’t know if it still is, but it was an impressive beach shop! Keep up the good work, you’re a favorite! ✌🏼❤️
Another great video.
We are in Texas too. Just think, in April I was soo worried about wild fires because it was so dry. I prayed and asked God for rain and......well I guess I need to ask him to turn the faucet down a little.
Stay safe and God Bless
Bless you, Mike.
Now grab a tissue. Good luck with the display case. 👍
You should have snagged those sewing machine drawers. I see them for sale in flea markets all the time. People use them in crafts. I may have bought a couple myself 😃

Hey Mike, I kinda miss the cat noise when you find an empty dumpster, lol.
Yes! Me too! But I think he said she about not being able to do it after some dental work.
Mike that us a nice showcase you just found.
Save the software dvd's. You never know how much you can make on them.
I just got a back of a camper and going to cut and melt them to 20 pound aluminum blocks.
aaaarrrggg resale the stretched canvas's. . .good save.
I have been to Ron Jon Surf Shop🏄🏄🏾♂️
Have to say I love watching you toss stuff into your truck with amazing accuracy !! Not to mention how strong you must be to throw some of the things you scrap from feet on the ground. ( I think there’s a weight lifting term but I can’t remember)
Good morning
Hello sir mike how are you i watching from philippines on your vedios...be safe god bless
You could use that golf net as a cargo net
The box would make a awesome shadow box for in memory to your sweet Winston you loss...You could put his picture in it and if you still have his collar..Just a thought..As always enjoyed tagging along with you on your dive..take care and stay safe..
Those lamps are very popular. You ought to put them in your garage sale. Beautiful color.
