Hamza, which English translation of the quran would you recommend me to gift a friend. I've never read the quran in English so I'm not familiar with any of the translations out there. and I heared that some of the translations contain errors. So which one would you recommend me?

The answer to the question about the names in Arabic versus the names in they're original tongue is this: ALLAH doesn't use the name they were called by in their native tongue because the Quran is in Arabic and these were the names known to the Arabs so ALLAH uses the Arabic versions, PLUS it could be argued that the Arabic names of other non Arabic Prophets could be expressed in inverted commas, so to speak. But what is the point they don't listen anyway.
No, the problem for Muslims is that Allah never calls himself Yahweh in the Quran and never confirms the name. Allah is called Allah. Therefore, the Arabic names of the prophets should not have "yah" in them since it it not Allah's name. It's a mistake that Muhammad didn't realize when "revealing" the Quran and mentioning the prophets who have "yah" in their names. If your saying that Allah used the names as they were known in that time to Arabs, then why didn't Allah who is the "All-Knowing" reveal their true names without "yah" in them. They shouldn't have the sound "yah" in their names since it's not Allah's name (according to Muslims). The closest thing to matching the name of Yahweh (To Exist/To Be) in the Quran is the title of Al-Qayyum(Self-Sustaining) for Allah (which is an attribute of Allah but not the literal name of Allah).

God doesn't create prophets with special names.
God chooses righteous people and make them prophets.

He says Elah, because God in Aramiac is ELAH. Now, in the Bible, Jesus cries out in Hebrew on the cross and say "Eli" Eli" My God My God. Because El means God. But still, your point does not refute the problem of Allah using "Yah" (the personal name for God) in the names of Elijah and Zechariah. Do you even know what there names mean? Elijah literally means Yah is God. Is Yahweh Allah's personal name?

Jesus is called a "spirit" from Allah and a word of Allah and is born of a virgin. God created Jesus and gave him special names in the Quran. But this is not my point, the prophets, like Elijah, Zechariah, and Obediah name's have meanings. Elijah is Yahweh is God, Zechariah is Yahweh remembers, and Obediah is servant of Yahweh. I am not religious and I understand God exists and the eternal intelligent creator of the universe is everything that exist past present and future. God always existed and created self. My concept of God coincides fundamentally with Spinoza's God. Why if I didn't read Spinoza I came up thinking rationally with the same concept of God? how come with a quick google search one can find that there are multiple versions of the quran. which one is the direct version from god? what is with the sunnis and the shiites?
Show me the multiple versions of the qoran? I think you are talking about the different ways of pronouncing.

Wrong the Quran uses both Arabized words that are Arabized from Hebrew or from Greek or even other languages based on what was commonplace for its audience. You will find Elijas name as Elias in many Greek translations and that is what would have been commonplace during the time of revelation of the Quran.
Furthermore that was mentioned in the video, the purpose of the names in the Quran are to designate, who is being spoken of, and not to have their name as a perfect transliteration of the original language. And so it makes sense that the common usage of those names at that time, and at that place were used.
