Draft absolutely slaps for building a card collection as a newcomer, and really helps understand how the game works at a very fundamental level, which with reasonably low powered decks, can really show player skill expression and reward it.
I feel like the only variety cards that make sense to add to lurk would be cards related to Bel'veth, since she has the whole Lavender Sea thing going on.

Honestly, I've been thinking Talon for a while. No oceanic themes, but I feel like it goes with his "hiding in the shadows until it's time to strike" kind of thing.

@@abdoalrahmansabeha977Bel'Veth is a LoL champion. Void ate an entire city and that piece of Void got corrupted, so now city/empress Bel'Veth wants to do it's own thing instead of full destruction of reality, remake it into Lavender Sea instead.

I feel the Noxus version of plunder is very different from the freljord version. GP Sejuani is a very real deck, that is using early game pings to gain a tempo advantage and snowball into their leveled champ finisher. Noxus is more much aggro/combo and may not even level a champ to close out the game. The new plunder tools put the old ones into a new context that changed the gameplay style.

I completely understand the hesitance on giving Lurk a third region, because at least the Reksai (and keyword) side of the package is super one-dimensional and the deck is very prebuild-y.
But Deep... Current Deep is very Maokai control/mill reliant, with a very occasional Nautilus Sea Monster/Treasure endgame. If they added a new champion and some support in a third region, they could re-envision the idea of Deep and its payoffs, and create a deck with wildly different matchup tables and a different strategy. I think that keyword has a lot more flexibility potential than Lurk... Though I do still wish Pyke had somewhere else to shine, Gwen Pyke was nice for a short time
I disagree that there just has to be a "best strategy" if they choose to bring "region-locked" archetypes into new regions. Basically, if they decide to make, like, PnZ Lurkers (with, say, Warwick), they might decide to go harder on Predict synergy. Then you can choose if that should be paired with Rek'Sai for that big tempo deck, or if you wanna go more for a grindy deck with Pyke, Jaull-Fish and Bone Skewer stuff.
Basically, there doesn't have to be a "best strat," I believe the LoR team is creative enough to make old archetypes in new regions have a different flavor to them that doesn't invalidate the old version of that archetype (or make the new version dead on arrival), even with seemingly straight-forward archetypes like Lurk, Deep, Predict or Formidable.
They tried to branch out dragons to SI but SI dragons is worse than Demacia/Targon since it doesn't support dragons aswell as the other 2 regions. They really need to add proper support to the other regions if they want yo expand archetypes.
@@travisprescott9708 I really doubt the dragons in SI were an attempt to make SI dragons a thing as much as they were just cool and mechanically thematic for Viego's package.
For a more honest attempt, look at the Plunder cards in Noxus, which have a very distinct feel compared to the Sejuani Plunder stuff in Freljord, which turned the Plunder archetype from a jogger trying to keep up an even pace into a sprinter trying to race to the finish line in bursts

as a "lurk enjoyer" I still think it'd be cool to see Twitch lurk and that would mean expanding to PnZ but I think they absolutely could add enough variety/tune current cards to accommodate a new avenue. Lurk as a keyword should be pretty easy to create for. Harder to see future "Deep" expansions because thematically the keyword isn't an easy fit outside of Bilgewater.

I did see someone say Freijord cuz of ancient Monsters in the icy waters or Targon with the “Sea” of Stars
there's definitly sea monster in Piltover, but maybe Piltover already have too much, and it doesn't really fit what the region is supposed to do, unless deep take a new turn with smaller stat

@@jeremymuir4332 i'm saying this because it was recently confirm that arcane is canon and like we can see in part 1, there's sea monster in Zaun, Silco like them and it was the inspiration for Jinx weapon.

Coop PoC would be the only way i see to make people i know play LoR with me. People that just says "I don't like card games", well, i don't like either, but i love LoR
But we already had a Draft mode right? The one were you picked a set of 3 cards and make your deck like that, and then you could switch one set of 3 cards for another if you wanted, I never understood why they took it out, like the old "path of champions" were you could get champions cardbacks
7:40 it's like dragons in SI. Never really saw any play. It was always just demacia or Targon demacia. Now we have one Noxus dragon that makes that an actual strategy. Sometimes a package is not enough and other times 1 card is enough to enable a new deck.

Here's what I hope we'll see with their experiments: New versions of champion cards.
The Champions in LoL have different abilities, and I feel like there's some Champions who you could make a separate, thematic Champion card for.
For example: Ahri with Attune, but when you play her she grants you three fleeting "Fox Fires" that are 1 mana deal 1, or recall an ally. Level Up: your Fox Fires cost 0 (still generate 3 on play), and when you attack you spend your spell mana to create that many Fox Fires in your hand.
Personally I'd love if they added separate versions of champs but they took up the spots in deck. Like you can have Ahro and your version of ahri in the same deck but they are both still Ahris so you need to find a split for them. That way we can have like the current Garen as a 1 of and a new version of Garen as a two of or something.
I have an idea for lurk
Like Imagine if they fuse deep and lurk instead of giving them another region for them, with Twitch since he likes to search in trash to find treasures he every attack token he discards the first 3 cards except lurkers so the lurkers are at the top, and the round end he shuffles the deck, He don't have lurk until level 2, also his followers are like sion ones but they focus on creating sea monster and treasures.

If u print a new lurk region u get 2 new decks with half the amount of cards originally printed, there wont necesarly be a objective better one cause of something named niche partitioning, where u make the 2 new decks have a distict speed playstyle tables to original lurk/deep.

LoR frustratess me. I want to like and enjoy the game more than i do, maybe its similar to how i felt about LoL for so long. Card unlocks and progression are extremely slow pretty early on & the jargon and wording used says basically nothing at all in a convoluted way. Less is ometimes more in my opinion
