My son passed away a couple years ago. Between the shock and trauma, it is really difficult for me to remember the date and the year. Immediately afterwards we dealt with funeral arrangements, travel, and worrying about other family members. I still had to care for my remaining 3 children, and that took up space in my head. I am 54 years old at this moment. My memory is ok. Traumatic events in life are a difficult time. It is completely normal to have some brain fog surrounding them. If I really sit down at think about it, I believe it was 2022. It was a blur for about 6 to 12 months afterwards. His mom (my ex wife) passed away about 10 months later in 2023. Exact dates just aren't on the tip of my tongue...

I had a teacher once describe the human brain as if it was a file cabinet full of documents/memories. You file a memory in a folder, in a drawer, under a title. The older you get, the more memories, the more folders, the more drawers. As the file cabinet gets full, new cabinets are used and they become full. Yeah, sometimes it takes opening and closing a few drawers, and shuffling through a few folders to find the memory or fact you're looking for. Acknowledgement and rewards should be given for the wealth of information stored and the wisdom to learn from and use these memories to make decisions on how we live our lives.
Both are old and may have trouble remembering certain things. I'm voting for the man with dignity and integrity, the man who will protect democracy, honor our constitution, and abide by law and order vs the man who's the complete opposite.

I feel like the President should have MADE time to keep riding his bike. I realize he’s got to be the busiest person in America, but I’m 61 and have MS and I found out quickly that once you stop (for whatever reason) being active, it doesn’t take long for it to be a detriment to your body. I've been thinking exactly the same thing about my Mum. She and my Aunt lived three doors down from me. Although I worked full-time and was raising a child, I was essentially their caregiver. I know how both of them died. I know where they were when they died. I can do the year. But the date? Yet their memories surround me. They are part of my wake-up thoughts in the morning. I had a teacher once describe the human brain as if it was a file cabinet full of documents/memories. You file a memory in a folder, in a drawer, under a title. The older you get, the more memories, the more folders, the more drawers. As the file cabinet gets full, new cabinets are used and they become full. Yeah, sometimes it takes opening and closing a few drawers, and shuffling through a few folders to find the memory or fact you're looking for. Acknowledgement and rewards should be given for the wealth of information stored and the wisdom to learn from and use these memories to make decisions on how we live our lives.
It takes a while to find the right box, I've been saying this for years. Not sure I could tell you how long.

I feel like the President should have MADE time to keep riding his bike. I realize he’s got to be the busiest person in America, but I’m 61 and have MS and I found out quickly that once you stop (for whatever reason) being active, it doesn’t take long for it to be a detriment to your body.

As a parent that lost my son it scares me to think about how long it's been. I was told to think about how close I'm getting to him not how far away he feels after the years fly by.

I've been thinking exactly the same thing about my Mum. She and my Aunt lived three doors down from me. Although I worked full-time and was raising a child, I was essentially their caregiver. I know how both of them died. I know where they were when they died. I can do the year. But the date? Yet their memories surround me. They are part of my wake-up thoughts in the morning. I totally agree! I am 79 years old and cannot remember the year my parents died. They were very dear to me and it was very traumatic, but the year escapes me and is not very important to me. I have missed both of them every day.
