It's been a long road getting from there to here...It's been a long time, but my mind is finally clear...I can see my dreams crash and burn at last...Hawks won't reach the sky....But they won't hold my wallet down no more! And I'm not gonna change my mind! I've got no faith...in Silverhawks! Super7 can't seem to make them! I've got no faith in their ability...to make simply...ANYTHING....!!!!!
Remember the days when you could just go out and buy a toy or just go see a movie that had one trailer and left a little mystery on the table? This pre-order business model is getting tiresome.

ohh I miss those days so much. Also really wish they had continued the Thundercat remake cartoon. It was just starting to get good, and then they canceled, all because of low toy sales because none of the companies could get them out in time.
eBay ruined "going to the store" for many of us. The reseller market is something that wasn't a behemoth like it is today back then.

I've got a ton of Super7 toys in my collection room and garage... so they are sending out quite a bit.
And if you look at the Super7 Pre-order update page, the Silverhawks aren't even in production yet: "Tooling approved. Next step is pre-production samples.". I'll be surprised if we see wave one this year even.

I gave Super7 the benefit of the doubt and ordered six of the Thundercats ultimates that represented six of my favorite characters from the original series. I haven't had a chance to really examine their overall quality yet, but I did receive a Pumyra with two left legs. I'm waiting to hear back if BigBad can sort it out or if I have to contact S7 directly. It's a very bad look for a company that claims to love toys as much as S7 does. Their factory oversight seems lacking.
Pumyra seems to be a cursed figure. For me, both the Mattel and Super7 figures had paint issues, Mattel's had this big blotch of unpainted plastic on the back of the head, and Super7's had an unpainted collar

That's my biggest issue with S7 they'll announce wave after wave and take forever to release. They have more "coming soon" figures than actual made figures it seems.
He was also mad that they didn't announce the last figure he wanted though. So should they announce it and make him mad that they haven't released the first wave yet, or should they not announce it and do it after they start releasing waves? Can't win, but yeah, whatever the holdup is, it's better to be transparent.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. There are many valid points in your video. I like using Big Bad Toy Store because I can buy the figures when they are actually available. I will say that the owner of Super 7 does frequent the podcast circuit and provides updates and some insight into product delays. I understand that his updates may not be sufficient for many collectors but I feel he is being as transparent as he can.
Super 7's stuff is ridiculously overpriced. Especially their 5 poa reaction figures.

It's especially the price point that keeps me from rarely ever giving them any business. I get that things are more expensive, but the TMNT Ultimates are too much for my blood, thus why I only ever picked up one, and their Godzilla figures are even worse, getting close to $100 per FIGURE in the 7 inch scale. That combined with all their other issues hardly seems sustainable.
I think the $50 price mark has not sold well- starting to see the Turtles drop to mid-30 in some shops I finally picked up Raphael V2 at Entertainment Earth for $34, which is what they should have started with. Now it's dropped even further to $30 clearance.
I like to just pick stuff up in stores. There's this reason with weird crap happening to preorders and I like the thrill of the hunt. Not knowing what's already out. Feels great.

Our stores haven't gotten anything for a year and a half! I was so desperate the other day I bought a Walmart brand Dinosaur pack for my Savage Land. Has a T-Rex and a not right Raptor. It was only $15. I'm almost 100% online these days!
I’ve been lucky I guess since my local Target and Walmart usually get stuff in every month. It’s a nice surprise when I see something I want online going for 50 but it’s 20-25 in the store. I know not everyone will get stuff in but, been lucky.
I think 90% of technology made today is built to Enterprise-D specifications, not just toys.

Premium figures in general are going to be the death of the hobby. When they are done draining genx and old millennials dry. Truthfully the hobbyists as a whole need to walk from boutique toys, but there are too many addicts who can't stop.

There's too much of everything right now. It's overloaded. Just today I saw more TMNT figures... bobbleheads or something. There are like a zillion TMNT figures and tchotchkes on the market and that's just one license. You basically have to just say "no" and come back around in about a year to see what you really actually like. Stop giving in to FOMO and in-the-moment buying.
All of their Ultimates figures felt too expensive to me from the get-go. I've bought some of their ReAction figures, but the ones they try to sell at major retailers for $18-$20 ea are a joke. If they're producing that many of them there's absolutely no reason they should cost that much.
Agreed. I saw wave 2 of GI Joe ReAction and asking for $18+ should be a crime. The Baroness face sculpt was nice but not $20 nice for a low effort 5 poa figure. There's no real excuse for the insane prices they are wanting especially when more popular lines are warming the pegs at half or less price point.
I haven't paid full price for a ReAction figure since like 2015 when they were still $10 a pop. No thank you

I thoroughly enjoy Super 7 and I haven't had an issue with any of the purchases I made in terms of Quality of the product. As far as I can tell, they've been very upfront and honest with the Shipping Delays on the Thundercats Line. Which as of the date of this video has been resolved. I have all five waves of the Thundercats and it is awesome. I especially like how that Ultimate's Line fits in with other Ultimate's Figures from other Brands, specifically the MOTU and Turtles. I look forward to Silverhawks and GI Joe and the eventual Heroes Shelf of all combined brands together and in the same scale. I think Super 7 are doing a wonderful job. I look forward to what comes next.

Silverhawks was my favorite show growing up, even more than Thundercats. We never had much money, so I only had a couple figures, and not even Quicksilver at that. I jumped at these (waves 1 & 2) and both RamenToys when they were announced. I've received the RamenToys, but not opened them. I'm bummed hearing your trepidations, but you have always seemed logical and reasonable in your reviews. I'm not planning on canceling because of my passion for the line, but I can totally respect where you are coming from.
Super7 is the worst thing that's happened to Retro collectible figures. They seem to hog all the licenses and do fuck all with them. Thundercats is literally one of the most popular 80s retro properties and would've been a gold mine for any company to own, but S7 just pumps out sub-standard garbage at the premium price and can't seem to adhere to the simplest of release schedules.
And now we have all these digital renders for Silverhawks and Joe figures that are pretty much just literal false marketing. Posing the figures to clearly fake articulation capabilities as if people don't have eyes to see the models clip into each other. It's honestly impressive how they're still making money due to people who just can't let go of nostalgia even when they know the products are of poor quality.
Its not false advertising. Theyve already shown the actual figures for wave 1 joes. Thundercats wave 5 promo pics were all renders and they turned out exactly exactly as the inages promised.
I think you overestimate how much of a following there is for Thundercats these days.
@@dannycruz5446 Just look at the elbow joints for Monstar in the render; clear clipping of the models just to fake the joint having better range. That's the blatant example. Most of the Hawks won't have the kind of range in the hips like they're showing in the renders, again clipping.
I canceled 95% of Super7 orders for the following: A) too many pre-orders at once B) too many delays C) QC issues after those delays D) Not focusing (too many styes between Ultimates, Reaction and so on) E) hypocritical Virtue signalling.
How did you get your preorders canceled? Their site says they don't cancel Preorders, but I have 3 orders i want to cancel. How did you get them to cancel the orders for you?
@@djinert Sadly Big Bad Toy Store is how I pre-order. In your case I would either have to cancel the card or call the bank to refuse the charge.
I refused to buy anything Super7 due to their insane prices and constant delays.
The figures are not good quality either
Brian Flynn has been extremely transparent about the reasons behind the delays and the Super7 website gives up-to-date info on all their preorders (where in the process the figures are). We now have all the Thundercats waves and the TMNT waves 5 and 6 are both in the states and will begin to ship any day now. Super7 wants to always be 2 preorders ahead. Luckily, I'm only collecting the Silverhawks villains, so I don't care about the lack of vac-metal. I'm happy to wait for pre-orders for as long as it takes.

I agree, but I want all the figures (heroes and villains). I never cared about vac-metal, so that isn't an issue. I haven't really had a problem with either the design or the cost, but the wait time is starting to get to me. Maybe I'm just an impatient person.

I occasional think "If I had money I wouldn't mind collecting figures again like when I was a kid." Then I hear $55 a figure and I'm just think no way. Unless it was a character I simply adored as a kid I couldn't see me spending that much on a "Well, he was kind of cool in the show." And no way I could handle buying a whole set at $55 a pop per figure.
I guess I've just become to cheep in my old age. Or maybe to nostalgic for the prices when I was attempting to collect things. Either way, in the magic land where I have money, I likely not collecting figures. 🤪
@qtsssim Hasbro is releasing two packs of O-Ring style GI Joe figures. For like $50-$60 a pack. Frankly, they know collectors will pay those horrendous prices so they charge those prices.
Action Figures as kids toys is nearly a dead art. And its the Toy companies doing the stabbing.
@@mwc1707 I predict we'll keep complaining about this stuff on deaf ears for just so long until most of this generation finally just stops collecting altogether. And that's why they're all trying to push these overpriced TOYS on us so quickly. The toy companies realize when we're done, the next generation isn't going to give a crap and the toy companies will switch to video game production or fidget spinners or virtual doodads. Whatever the cool kids are into now. In any case, toy collecting will be sucked dry and cast to the wayside. The corporations are spearheading the movement and we're cheering them on.
Hmm, last bunch of figures I bought was Final Faction. It was well worth the $1.00-$1.25 apiece. And plenty of accessories to boot.
I'm pretty much done with Super 7. I have all the Thundercats I want. I don't think I have anything else from them coming. I can easily pass on the Silverhawks. I do remember that episode of Star Trek TNG. It was Worf that clogged the toilet. He tried to blame it on someone else. Very cowardly of him. Not honorable. It was all that warrior's drink.
80-90 bucks? I've paid up to 20 bucks a figure! 80-90 bucks is really pushing it!
Cant say I blame you for cancelling, although it does seem getting the figures after they release wont be hard, I think out of all the Ultimates releases in the past couple years, only Pumyra has sold out. Probably due to QC issues causing needed replacements.
That’s disappointing. On a different note hasbro strikes again, they are crowdfunding heroscape age of annihilation. Sucks.
I don't own any Super7 toys, the only one that was tempting was the Transformers Ultimates Tarn, but now even that isn't tempting anymore because one is coming in the Legacy toyline. But I don't like them, the ReAction line is far far too expensive for a line of 5P figures.
Thanks for making my day (I think) by telling me about Tarn. I am an old G1 TF fan, but I like some of the Bots outside of it (even though I don't know the stories behind most, or any other cartoon variations)..... BUT.... (capitals)... BUT..... I was introduced to Tarn in the IDW TF comics (before they went to shit). Loved the character and was surprised to find it wasn't some just made up character.... I saw some super delux version which cost a King's ransom, and it looked like one of the best bots I ever saw... I fear they might not get it comic-wise, but now I know there is a chance it might be good in the Legacy line (better than nothing, I''ll look and if its a winner I'll be stoked).
Thank you for always calling out the BS from the toy companies. As prices for everything keep surging, we need to stand our ground and demand more value instead of accepting less.
If you ever feel pressed to buy something that its supposed to be fun, just dont do it. Thats the wrong feeling, just find something else to have fun. Never buy a toy under preassure.

Punchline after seeing some of your past reviews, Playmobil could and would do a better revival of Silverhawk's with better sets and figures and get it out on time. Sure it would be in the Playmobil style but somehow they'd get it more accurate in that form and it would be more available to get.
Just discovered your channel! Thank you for the very honest and thoughtful opinion. I don’t own practically any Super7 product but when I found out they were making SILVERHAWKS I literally freaked out. I preordered 2 sets of Wave 1 and a couple extra. Then Wave 2 was announced and I just thought “Ok awesome! We’re in this for the long haul!” Again I preordered 2 sets and extras. Then Wave 3 was announced…now I’m already $1K deep with this line and I have no figures…but I figured Wave 1 would be out soon enough now PLUS I have to have all of them so again I preordered 2 sets and extras. $1500 into this line for months and nothing to show for it but the same preproduction shots and no updates. For this amount of money I could go back and get a nice original loose set. I don’t know the reason why they’re not out yet but for that amount of money I feel Super7 has an obligation to give customers a reasonable timeframe and/or some kind of update. I respect the Super 7 brand but that’s a big fail. If I see a preorder for a Wave 4 before I have Wave 1 in hand I’m officially cancelling it all.

I was never into silver hawks as a kid but I did preorder the pre transformation monstar cause I do remember him and he looks awesome. Every time someone asks Bryan Flynn about the paint he always says he has a sample of it but it’s painted on something that they can’t show yet cause it’s from a line that they didn’t announce yet. Wtf just show a little piece of it zoom the camera in do something

I'd only heard of *Super7* recently, but they sound like they're big on _ideas_ for figures, but not so great in executing an actual line in practical terms. Don't they have _Simpsons_ figures that still haven't shown up yet?
It reminds me of when I was 16 and liked to draw up ideal action figures I'd want to see for certain characters; I'd sketch out the appearance, scale, articulation and appropriate accessories. Still have the sketch books from back then - but that's all they ever were: *sketches.* Concepts that would never be and I'd never dream of charging money for them. Seems to me *Super7* have built their whole business model around the phrase _"wouldn't it be nice if...?"_

The biggest issue is they kinda locked themselves into a certain string of factories and the classics, now ultimates form factor.
If you remember back to all the issues the mattel made masters classics had, super7 is working out of the same factories, on a smaller budget, in smaller quantities.
So i'd go so far and even their execution plans aren't terribly flawed, they just set themselves up with the steepest slopes to conquer.
I'm not defending them, cause they are number 3 on my disliked toy company list, just trying to clarify that without reaproaching their entire system they've painted themselves into an inescapable corner.
I was just like you...until I took an arrow to the kn...no, I was and still are, then I learnt 3d modeling, bought a 3d printer and made MY mandalorian figure they way I think it should be made! Kenner style. So Kenner Super Powers have stopped being produced decades ago? Well not for me!! Muahahahaha!!

Thanks for all you do Michael. When I heard about the super 7 figures during their Masters of the universe run I got excited! Finally screen accurate toys! And then I saw that they wanted over half a bill per character. These are toys. And what's worse, these are toys that children could actually play with. There are articulation and playability is very similar to most other toys, and these figures are not unlike the original toys especially the ThunderCats (remember how giant those were compared to the other things in your toy box) but with that $55 price tag per character you almost don't even want to take them out of the box. This is largely why I've stopped collecting anything. If I'm going to pay $55 for something it's going to be a GI Joe figure I can't buy anymore at retail. And given the economy being what it is right now food is a little more important. All this crap with Hasbro pulse super 7 and NECA has basically just made collecting no fun. Along with all of the fans of those respective companies shilling for them constantly. I'll still be watching you but these companies have lost my business permanently.
Super 7 slythe and monkian are amazing. I only get the turtles I had as a kid growing up and then I give the vintage one to my son so that’s fun to do. Problem with super 7 is they assume that your buying all of their ultimates lines so the wait in btw waves isn’t too long but most people like myself only collect one or two of the 7-8 ultimates lines that they make
I think that the best way to go is to not do preorders at all, then toy companies will have to get product to stores to keep their lines going.

I buy some in stock s7 now and then. Pre order never. Learned me lesson after waiting a year past eta on a figure and got a refund. Bought it when it was actually out like 2 years after it was due.
In theory that’s a solid plan. But what companies see is different. “Well gentlemen it seems no one bought our last pre orders so there must be no interest in this line anymore. We’ll move on to something else.”

I ordered four Thundercats figures directly from Super7 and waited two years to get them all. I’m using Big Bad Toy Store for the Silverhawks, so I’m not out of pocket till they’re ready to ship. It’s a pain for sure.
Nothing wrong in canceling orders. People tend to change their minds or other problems comes up. Super seven... Have not oder from then... Only ThunderCat villains l want is Sly and or Monkeyan... Price what stops me for many figures! But that's my choice, still, great input on your thoughts! Didn't know the history of what's going on in the background. Keep up the great work! I only have two of the classic Silver Hawks figures! Copper Kid and Buzzsaw!
I canceled My Super 7 Joe preorders and sold my entire TMNT Super 7 stuff. Except for Rocksteady and bebop because they are exceptional. Their price point for what you get just isn’t worth it.

Great review! I've been looking at Super 7 myself and wondering if it's worth my time and money and your review has done a great job of helping me weigh my options and decide to give it a pass until they clean up their act or a better toyline comes along.

We live in an age where everyone has a 3D printer in their bedroom/basement and doing amazing work with them, yet these big companies with corporate ties can't seem to get their shit together...Wild.

My understanding is that Super 7 owns Silver Hawks straight up. The company that holds the rights is owned by Brian Flynn.
I just checked my e-mails and I pre-ordered just Windhammer from Silverhawks Ultimates Wave 2, back in November of 2021. I picked him because their sculpt was very animation accurate to Rankin/Bass animation style. I have NO idea why it's taking so long to get Wave 1 out there, although I think Wave 1 test shots were shown at SDCC back in July.
Brian Flynn has said in interviews that they cant show the finished paint as its been put on a figure they havent announced yet or it was in a shot with a figure they havent announced yet (hard to keep track of their excuses) but theyve had over a year since they announced them to sort that out, they are the most frustrating company to deal with. Its a shame because they have some great licenses and can produce beautiful figures.

I have a feeling they will remake all of them with actual metallic high gloss paint. As long as they have the license they are going to milk it. I’ll wait for those
NECA and Super 7 are way too expensive to try and get everything in a line... Why can't these classic, nostalgia driven collections end up in the hands of someone like McFarlane? My god, his figures are done well, are detailed and he even does vehicles for 6-7" scale...none of them break the bank. Hell the upcoming Avatar figs and creatures look very cool. $20-25 per fig you could get all the core Silverhawks for $100-120. I don't need or want multiple heads and hands when the one that holds the weapons are the ones that are always on, AND it is a pain in the butt to keep up with all those extras.
I never had the original Silverhawks except for Bluegrass because I wanted the Mirage eventually. In a pinch, I pretended some of my GI Joe's were SH's because the were the way I wished the figs back then would've been articulated. The dream for awesome Silverhawks go on.
Nowadays McFarlane Toys and GI Joe Classified series are where I get the best bang for my buck. NECA has lost their minds with their pricing. Every other set they release they bump the price up more while the QC continues to drop and they pump out so much TMNT they're going to have to start sculpting random background extras just to keep the line going.
Eh, the Wave 2 of Thundercat's was explained early on in the delay when Brian said that Jurassic Park took over priority in their factory they were using and that delayed that specific wave for a long while. Since then, we've been getting waves pretty consistently. I know Lio's video was mad about that but it was explained previously.
Also, Brian said that they didn't go Vac Metal because of the chipping and how it would alter articulation because of the type of plastic required. As for the no double joints, I do wish they did have double joints, but Brian has said that they wanted to go for aesthetics and choose the figures looking good on a shelf versus being good at action posing. So it is a choice they made and I can understand the choice even if I don't like it as much as having the posability.
Super 7 has many issues and the price is more than most collectors are willing to pay! That said Super7 fills a gap that most other companies refuse to fill. I like the Ramen silverhawks and doubled down on their first 2 figures. I love your take and look forward to BIONIC SIX TOYS vid!

Super 7 had these problems well before the pandemic, but yeah, right now supply chains for all consumer products are messed up and there's not a damn thing anyone can really do about it.

Im sorta happy i never got into Silverhawks.. I have the core S7 Turtles and Thundercats and awaiting my Thundertank, i went from being excited to receiving a figure to being excited that im finally done buying figures from them. Ive had to repaint four figures.. legs and arms are floppy at random.. they are just MEH.. but I will admit they to look good on my shelf.

I rarely buy Super7 since they nearly doubled their price overnight when the Kenner-style Transformers were released. $10 to $18-20. Once in a while they'll have something so cool (to me) that I have to have it, but it's rare. The lack of communication to customers is horrible and pointless. I remember the old Hasbro days of the 90s where I got their customer outreach person to answer a few questions for me in a pseudo email interview, just to share with a small group of collector's at the time. They bent over backwards to maintain that connection and conversation. I've had others in both gaming and toys do the same today. The more he pumps out SDCC exclusives, Boodega, The Worst, and other music/TV licensed merch, the worse this looks.

Until they show the final product I’ll reserve judgement. I love super 7 and have a lot of their figures so I have hope they come out good. I also only preorder from Big Bad Toy Store etc so I don’t give money up front.
You can't judge what isn't in your hands. But if it isn't in your hands and it's taking far too long with no communication, that isn't a good scenario.
@@retroblasting I’ll agree but they have been giving regular updates, just not great ones lol. I won’t defend them of course crossing my fingers these come out this year and look great.
Sad update, Wave 5 of their TMNT hit early and oh boy are they bad. I ended up canceling all my TMNT stuff as main characters like Krang are now only available in a broken state. You were right as the more I looked at my own figures the more issues I saw that I cannot believe I overlooked. Also, first pics of Quicksilver don't look good and do not look like the renders. I think I may finally be out on anything Super 7 after this. I appreciate your honesty in your videos and helping to maybe help some of us (me) take a second look that might have save me some serious money.
I am having the same issue with the Neca D&D Warduke figure I ordered last year to arrive in March of this year which became April....now supposedly October. A kickstarter campaign would have been released already by now.

Man, I value most of your analysis on toys, the market, etc..., but I must say, this one didn't sound right to me. I LOVE what Super7 has done with Thundercats. Those figures are pretty incredible! I admit that it is a bit frustrating waiting for these Silverhawks figures, which is why I'm glad I have a superhuman level of patience. It might be sometime in 2023, but I'm sure those Ultimates Silverhawks, Joes, and Transformers will look great sitting on my shelf.
The ThunderCats figures are grossly inaccurate and riddled with QC issues.
Absolutely have loved the Thundercats line and looking forward to the Silverhawks and hopefully Tigersharks. It’s a bit frustrating when we can’t have it now and it takes awhile but I’m looking forward to getting however many waves come out

They should just do it the old way. Get the factory, the u.s. employees, the tooling, etc and just do it and send to the brick and mortar retailers. Does big bad have brick and mortar? If they don't, they could.
I still have the ultimate sewer samurai Leonardo on preorder (for like a year and a half now) and once/if he ever shows up I think he’s gonna have to be my last super7. I too have been noticing them announcing more and more while actually producing less and less. I’m having flashbacks to megalopolis and premium dna

I had just ONE pre-ordered, and cancelled a while back. I have too many interests, and Silverhawks, while neat, are not in my top-tier. I'm having to consolidate and narrow down my collection due to rising costs across the board, and it really dawned on me that I don't need Silverhawks. Not in this iteration.

You are CORRECT. Quality is not so great on Super 7 and prices are not in the range of most working colllector. 😉

Except I prefer Pre-orders to a point more-so than trying to get toys "in the wild" or trying to buy them off of these online retailers because the RESELLER market in just the past 5 years has blown up and is ruining anything other than pre-orders for many collectors. I don't even bother going to stores anymore to toy hunt.
@@hang10wannabe yeah. Toy hunts are something I occasionally like to watch other people do on CZcams but I would never do it myself. I do enjoy hitting up garage sales and thrift stores in the summer though.

BBTs is the way to go for everything no money down cancel at any time. I used to order from entertainment earth and the last wave of Thundercats they had Bengali and hammerhand in stock so I ordered them and canceled the bbts ones I had except for vulture man cause entertainment earth said preorder out of stock. Well bbts got vulture man in processed him and mailed him out before entertainment earth shipped their in stock Bengali and hammerhand and then charges 20 bucks shipping
Super 7 also has too many Ultimate lines at once, when they can't deliver on them. TMNT, GI JOE, Thundercats, Transformers, Simpsons, Silverhawks, Power Rangers, Wrestling, Disney characters.. They have Ultimate lines for all of those.

Loved those toys when I was a kid. The little hawk that came with was the best too.
The one line that I would like to see brought back in it's original form or slightly updated is hands down M.A.S.K. No other line comes close on my list.
I have the (10) main vehicles from season 1 near complete.
Took me 2 years to find them all for reasonable prices.

There are times I wish old toy lines would make a comeback. For example I always wanted someone to revive Dino Riders. Now, seeing how companies run things I am not sure I want that anymore.
I understand but I am still sticking with them, if they come out great, if not I am cool. Honestly as I scale back from modern collecting I am Happy to get a nice break, they can take all the time. Even if they don't finish I am fine. The industry is broken overall and that is the truth.
Informative video - I was looking to order the new wave of Conan figures from Super7 as I wasn't aware of the issues collectors have. This video definitely saved me some heartache it would seem.
what in the world is going on with these companies today in the modern world of the 2020's? it seems the more advanced we are as a society the incompetence keeps getting ratcheted up immensely. even Mattel with their exclusive crap issues and Hasbro with the dam Haslab crap.I'm just grabbing things here and there that I like at collector shops, all be it for a bit more but I'm not going to bother with their online ordering right from them, it's a hassle all together and first and foremost a gamble, awesome vid Mike, keep it up, a longtime fan!
Everything is crap nowadays. Back in the 80s the action figure market was booming, you had so many different lines and multiple cartoons too. If you couldn't get or wanted a mainstream line like G.I.Joe or He-Man, you could go K-B Toys and find some weird, B-grade toy line like Supernaturals or Sky Commandos. Even parts of the 90s were decent. But I think given the fact that it was a new territory for a lot of companies and sadly those companies didn't last beyond the 80s, but now..seems like it's too risky for new companies, too expensive in some regards. But....I do think there is a lack of imagination these days especially compared to the 80s. That and there are so many different t.v. channels, streaming apps...it's hard to get kids to even get behind a new toy line. It is weird how you would think it would be easier to mass produce toys these days, but from everything I've heard, it's actually more expensive than it was in the 80s. In my opinion, society took a big nose dive around 2004 or so ..music these days is crap, fashion is crap, t.v. is a joke, movies are just remakes and redos..it seems everything today is boring and stale. Nothing progressing , almost like "well, there's nothing new to do so..it's all been done before so why bother"

I’ve been happy with S7 continuing Thundercats core characters and the sculpts the 4H started that I fell in love with collecting MOTU classics. It seems you can find anything and everything to complain about a toy company these days. I’m happy with what they’re doing. I know and accept I’m paying a premium but Mattel abandoned us with MOTU Club Grayskull and Thundercats so I’m thrilled to get more of those lines continued.

This is why I don't pre order directly from them. I go through EE because I don't get charged up front and I only get the ones I want not an entire set.
