What? That's it? I was sobbing and falling apart when I read the reunion of Max and Liesel. He was marching in the street with the other Jews and looking for her. Their reunion included one of the most iconic rebellions in the entire novel! What is this?
The book is far more emotional!!!!!! I didnt feel anything during the movie and that kinda bugged me i wanted them to deliver the feelings the narrating of the book did :(
@@vasotsismetzoglou2052 I just finished the book, and I think they married. At the ending of the film we can see Max and Liesel's photos together in their home. The photos are put side by side. Next to them we can see theirs children's photos. Then Rosa and Hans's photos, then Rudy's.
I wish this was a more emotional scene. In the book it said they fell to the floor and cried for hours, much more emotional than this scene.
this was the only part of the movie i didnt like
It was probably to set up the audience for the fact that the author of the book did not want them to Marry.
@@soomiij Why ?
i loved their relationship
Aadya Rana Same here
Max is so???? so???? BEAUTIFUL I wish the movie had more scenes with these two
At least this was a happy ending 😭
This scene was so much better in the book
I got goosebumps the first time I saw this movie (this scene in particular). Gives me the shivers. Such an amazing friendship they have 😭
They cried for many hours

That's not their reunion? That's a different part I swear? The part where they are reunited whilst he's in a death march happens too
@@cait812 yeah it’s been a while since I’ve watched the movie but this scene is after the bombing thing and after the war I’m pretty sure.
I love this book.
i love this movie so much
I was so happy Max survived.
Platonic soulmates
Why this movie is so underrated?
Because it didn't do the novel any justice - this scene is a prime example of that.
It's good as a standalone film, but It's not very good as an adaptation. It left SO MANY things out.
Max was the only family she had left
I’m so glad max came back for her he’s such a wonderful friend
I was a absolute mess while reading thr last few pages of the book
I love this scene
My favorite movie and scene but it's so underated
I wish it was as emotional as in the book. This scene in the book says they cried in each others arms for hours.
My favorite
Wowwwww so so so cute
I prefer the book
Of courseee
What the hell is this...it was supposed to be more emotional I cried fkr hours reading this scene
I don't care what people say, or what the book says, or the movie, I will always imagine that Max and Liesal married and lived happily ever after.
bit weird though considering they met when she was a little girl
More like brother and sister relationship I really love their relationship
he’s like her brother
Idk, It sounds a bit weird
Definitely not married. They’re like brother and sister. He met her when she was literally a child
You are a good student, so you are a beautiful girl
Is there part 2 of this movie cause o watched this from 2013 ??
Idk why but it felt like love to me.
Omgggg
Omggggg

Hello vaso

They are 13 years apart in age. He is like a brother to her so ye. Never
The book is far more emotional!!!!!! I didnt feel anything during the movie and that kinda bugged me i wanted them to deliver the feelings the narrating of the book did :(
Did he marry her?
No, but they remained very good friends! check out the ending of the film... they had a beautiful friendship!!!
I watched it! Really good movie to watch Thank you 😊
@@snessi_land I just read it and it was only mentioned that Liesel had a husband but it didn´t say if that husband was Max
I think yes, they married and had 3 kids
