What I actually love about this is that two megalithic and corporations that control much of our lives, partnering with a technology that can really control our lives, scaring the sh*t out of centralized governments that directly control our lives since the Dawn of Western civilization.
I’m a little different than most because I actually want someone to put the hammer of innovation with all of his tonnage on the pedal to AI to accelerate so fast that it forces our public sector to adapt.
Much of the constipation that various people have over artificial intelligence is around this very ancient human desire to control. Incredibly layered technology is literally level setting, breaking apart all barriers, including governmental regulations.
There’s no good guys here. Corporations and Indio need to get pressure by governmental authority. Governmental authority needs to be scared shitless over these corporations who have all sorts of levers to circumvent even the most stringent regulation.
And they need to fight in perpetuity. It’s likely the only thing that keeps this innovation continuing to run and grow, given the desire of the big players to form a partnership with government so they can protect their monopoly and stifle innovation It’s nice that they don’t get along with each other.

You are dumb and naive if you think that Ai growth is for your benefit or the social sector benefit. China already used such technology to create killer bots and they already said multiple times that we are useless eaters. Ai is only a technology of control that the public sector won't get anything. Even the fact that Open Ai is not that open and transparent and was told by Elon to call it Close Ai is enough to make you question whether this technology is used for us or for them.
They want to use Ai as a technology of control to control our lives. And the government isn't mutually exclusive with Ai either. Didn't they said that they want to have Ai leaders? It will be one big technocrat system with Ai that will control everything as in the Sci Fi movies that we saw. So they want to integrate Ai in the government. The whole thing about digitalization and the new department made in each country has as scope that.

If they have direct access to all the board members, they can always make their own interests and decisions known and their investment capacity speaks for itself. Seats on the board are not necessary if you pull strings of board members. That move was to save face and prolong the argument about monopoly for another day when their power is more consolidated. I know people are still calling his company Twitter, but I agree with Elon that they should have changed the name Open AI if that does not reflect how it operates in any way. Now if you told me the NSA board member left because that was a conflict of interests or not good for the public, I would be happy. Missing the point. What they're actually saying is that the product is not ready. It's vaporware. It's either too expensive to use, too slow or too useless. Or all of them at once, which is something I'd actually guess is correct. "Why would you go watch a movie if you can just write your own?" is the stupidest pitch I've ever seen in my life. AI development is being spearheaded by the most autistic self-absorbed narcissists in the world.

There is not enough infrastructure in place to support a huge increase in use. The resources it takes to do that means it will take some time and be controlled only by the mega corps...which also means it stays neutered and highly censored. I'm more interested in uncensored, open source and local. Not at all interested in giving away all my data to these mega corps.

Anyone with the access to the resources to donauch a thing would also have the resources to commit the necessary fraud to circumvent the law.

Q: What is the lifespan of gnats
Gpt4: The lifespan of gnats varies depending on the species, but most adult gnats live for about 7 to 14 days. Some species may live up to a few weeks under optimal conditions. The entire life cycle from egg to adult may be completed in about four weeks, with much of this time spent in the larval and pupal stages.
