Thanks! I was mostly nervous that I would spend all that time and NOT be able to get in the air. I definitely grew as a PPG pilot that day... to keep trying, not force it, and to take what the wing and the wind gave me. Thanks again for the encouraging comment
Hey Brian, that was great...LOL Looking to get certified in the near future and can't wait! Live in FL near the beach and great flying conditions 90% of the time so looking forward to it😁
Awesome flight man. I just spent 2 weeks in Galveston, Texas flying the Gulf Coast and it is my new favorite place to fly! So much better than flying the midwest crap full of turbulence and rotor.
Looks amazing! Going to Pensacola this summer to see my father. I need more training and a way to bring the paramotor stuff but it’s my goal to fly that area sometime.
Are you in the middle of basic instruction? It was exciting for me to play some "away games" once I got comfortable enough at my usual field. I'm tempted to bring it on all family trips! How do you transport your motor now? I have a video on how I put my rack together (like a cargo rack that goes into a trailer hitch) if that helps at all... have fun!
very nice! this describes almost perfectly the way i had my first flights at the ocean. but i need the stable stream of air to get myself up. reverse kiting is the way to go almost 99%. and watch for these kites! super dangerous. i saw a paramotor pilot flew into a line from a kite he didnt see because it was high over him. the line cut his wing in half like a knife through cheesecake and he fell to his death. be VERY careful when you see kites around you. the moment you see the line its too late. rest looks good and you talk like i am thinking most time haha! subbed to your channel. keep the blue side up mate° 🤙
I have a new respect and wariness for kites for sure! Thanks for the comment and sub. If I talk like you’re thinking, then I know and like how you think!
Good tip! The wind was off the land and basically I wasn’t all dialed in yet and figured the crosswind was the best bet. The knees held up for me! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
I’ll bet those are similar- what I loved about DI was being able to fly out to the uninhabited end. Was there any places like that in those areas or is it all built up?
It’s called UAV Forecast. It’s free to see a forecast 24 hours in advance. For like $20/year you can see a week out. I also use a good free app called Windy, but UAV has more data and I’ve found it to be more accurate. I’d recommend either though.
Nice flight
Thank you sir, honored to get a comment from you!
Brian, nice job! I can't wait to experience my first beach flight. Hopefully sooner than later. You nailed that reverse like a champ.
Kind words, thanks! Hope you get to fly the beach sometime. I hope I get to fly w hot air balloons like you do.
@@djunclemilo Wasn't expecting them, that's for sure!
Great video!
Thanks dude, I know you were there in spirit- and streamers!
Don’t be hard on yourself, you had every right to be somewhat nervous.. great job and nice flight

Great to be on high alert! Play by play….

I'm envious! Being able to fly off the beach regularly would be awesome.

The rest of the days were amazingly smooth on the island, it was so great. Where do you usually fly?
@@djunclemilo I fly out of Reeds, Missouri. It's near Joplin.
Cool- I’m on the other side of the state out of STL.

gj sir! save your knee's when you have enough beach space to face into the wind.

Awesome ! way to Go !
Thanks!
I've flown PCB and Navarre Beach. Would like to fly Dauphin Island one day!
I’ll bet those are similar- what I loved about DI was being able to fly out to the uninhabited end. Was there any places like that in those areas or is it all built up?
My judgement is.... SUCCESS!
Kind words!! Thanks man.
