I have to admit, space gray looks really nice and sleek looking.. but I like to use clear cases on my phone, and having a dark phone doesn't look good with a clear case imo. Makes the phone look dirty, and like the guy said, doesn't really look like the color of the phone when you have it on. Got gold instead, and I'm very satisfied! (Looks better in person, than pictures!!) Always wanted a gold iPhone, but with an all black screen in the front. Never been a fan of the white screen.

@@Itz_JGM even though I love the space gray/black iPhones.. coming from the matte iPhone 7 plus, a clear case made the phone look sooo dirty.. and dull looking. But now I don't have that problem with Gold because it's a more lighter color. I'll eventually go back to space gray in the future though because I do still adore a dark iPhone! Just won't put a clear case on it, lol.
I have a Space Grey Xs Max and I bought a clear Spigen case that has some sliver sparkles and it looks really good. I know, probably not everyone’s cup of tea, but it looks really good, but subtle.
@@hads5279Of course! I totally understand you! I've come from several Space Grey iPhone's in the past. (Matte Black iPhone 7 Plus was my favorite!!) But it just made me phone look dull, and dirty.. just because it was a dark color, you know? But it didn't bother me tbh.. just wanted something different, so I got Gold! I'll eventually probably go back to Black or Space Grey in the future, lol.

A black case on the gold looks slick, as does just a black skin on the back of the gold, in an ideal world i would love the gold one with a black glass finish. Perfect.

The gold color shifts a lot depending on the lighting. Google "Xs max gold" and see the differences. You may or may not like that.

The camera blends in best with the black/space grey color. It also looks overall more premium than the other two.
I recommended for silver bcoz white one is looking so cool& pretty.
Dope review. I'm so frustrated with Apple rn because first I had the XR & then found out you can't even watch in 1080hd, then I go and exchange it for a gold XS & you can see fingerprints so easily on the clear phone cover & the gold only really looked cute in certain light. Now I have to go back tomorrow & exchange it for a silver one! I'm really happy the "silver" is actually white though, I didn't even realize!

If you want a higher chance to resell it, better to get neutral colours like space grey or silver. I had a gold i6 then changed to iX space grey. Waiting for my gold iXS Max now, hopefully I’ll be satisfied with the colour

I have used Silver iPhones all my life but recently upgraded to the iPhone XS in Space Grey and I do not regret the change at all. Then again, color does not really matter because at the end of the day, it will grow on you and hey, it is still an iPhone. 😉

Yes, if anyone is even considering gold still just know the back shifts colors, maybe 8 different looks depending on the lighting. Google pics of it and you will see.

I decided on Space Grey because I realised I’ve never actually had a black smartphone before. White iPhone 4, white Galaxy s3, gold iPhone 6 Plus, silver Galaxy s8. The gold on this year’s model is soooo gorgeous. If there was a Product Red Xs Max I would’ve picked it, hands down, tho! The red Xr is beautiful!

silver has a really clean look very very beautiful
I went with Silver for my iPhone X. The whitish/silver offsetting the black faced front always reminded me of a Lightsaber hilt. It just looks cool to me, which is weird because I usually like darker iPhones. I’m just getting tired of Apple revamping Space Gray instead of opting for a permanent Jet Black replacement. This time around though, I think that the new Gold looks awesome! Apple finally created the perfect Gold color scheme.

I hope they keep this gold color:) Wish they would bring a pure white and pure black option next to silver and space grey:) that would be awesome and I think that many ppl would love a pure white phone instead of a washed out silver tone

The sad thing is tho, that the silver version has no white back at all!:( When I saw it in person I was so disappointed! It looks nothing close to white, it’s a really dirty, cloudy grey...in some pictures the silver phone looks really clean and white but in person it is not white:( it’s not even the same silver as on the MacBooks, for me it looks just really cheap, even tho I would always prefer a white looking phone, but this one is sadly not white at all:(

I have the Xs Max 512 GB Gold. I had the X Silver before. Every iPhone I had were Space Grey. I am in my experience-other-colors phase, otherwise, I would get Space Grey.

@@snowflake7266 From what I can see, there are no visible scratches. The Silver one, on my Phone X, shows scratches very easily. I am guessing that is still true with the XS iPhones.

I was thinking of getting gold, but when I looked at it at the Apple store, it didn’t look as good compared to how it is advertised. I’m on Team Silver.
Why not black? I had a black IPhone SE before my max, and I wanted to change it up. Also, both gold and grey have issues with scratches that can’t be fixed. the silver can be buffed and made less noticeable,
Opposite I reviewed 5 of each colors and silver edges get scratched much easier than space grey and gold.
