- Magnum. One of my favorite bands of all time, but i think they are underrated, my first upload, so i hope it works,
lyrics are below, please let me know if they are wrong,
but first just a little info,
Magnum are a British melodic rock band from Birmingham.Formed in 1972, Magnum have undergone several changes in personnel over the years but the core of vocalist Bob Catley and guitarist/songwriter Tony Clarkin remain today

There was no better English rock band in the 1980s. Period. Very underrated. I wish we could have such great songwriting today.
Tony was a great songwriter right up until his passing earlier this year, a great loss for rock music and music as a whole
God bless Tony Clarkin… a true musician, songwriter and master lyricist. He will be sadly missed by many Magnum devotees…. Keep the night light burning wherever you are Tone!! 🙏🔥

Most underrated band in rock history...
How were these guys never up there with the likes of Bon-Jovi, Rolling Stones, etc etc.... They were MEGA! Even now... listening to their stuff 35 years later and it's STILL FANTASTIC! Bob has to be one of the hardest working British Rock Stars EVER! And he's STILL going! What a guy!! 🤘🤘

Because they were basic and had nothing that exploded in people's ears. If they were as good as bon Jovi or Def leppard then they would have got the same popularity. They were given music videos, radio airtime, concerts, the same as the big bands and still couldn't make it. That should tell you something and if not then I can't explain it any simpler

I don't think they never were a hair band. I always compared them to more Toto or REO. They came at a time when hairband was at it's height. Had they been discovered 8 years earlier, it would been a different story.

They were British prog rock
Actually, I think the opposite is true. It was more a case of a serious band (melodic rock with a touch of hard rock and prog) being pushed by their record label to adopt the hair band image in a misguided strategy to crack the US market. There was a LOT of that going on around that time when MTV was so powerful.

Based on their album sleeves I expected these guys to be full on, Hobbit-bothering prog, but this is some classic 80s anthemic rock 👍🏻🤘🏻

I agree with every one Magnum are a superb band ... and Bob Catley has one of the best Rock voices ever just brilliant .. my band Multi Story Supported them 30 shows on the Story Tellers Night tour in 1985 I will always treasure that memory

First band I ever watched live, think I was 11 or 12. They were the first thing me and my step dad bonded over. That concert was probably one of the best nights of my life. I adore them
If Bob Catley stood like that now on stage he would probably get a hernia bless 'im. Loved Magnum then and I love 'em now.

Great passionate performance as usual from Bob Catley! Tony Clarkin always looks cool playing great riffs! Tony is a genius of a song-writer!!! Have loved the music of Magnum for years! Superb track!
Watched this great band every friday night at the "Railway Inn", Curzon Street, Birmingham in the '70's. Great memories.

In these days Magnum still rock on but old age is showing. In those days there was more energy & passion in their music.

Remember goin to see them at the Glasgow Barrowland on this tour and them annoucing to the crowd that the song had just entered the uk top 40! The place went ballistic...dont even think the album had been released then.

I recall seeing Magnum in the '80s with two other groups (Slider and Empire) in Puerto Rico. Great concert!

Ur right themighty6 - Bob Catley such a voice - and Magnum as a whole totally underrated one of my fav bands when I was growin up with rock and of course am 40yrs old now but still lovin it all - cheers my friend. And I see we are closing in on the 20000 mark!

I saw him 2018 concert of Avantasia... I couldn't hold my tears ( seeing this man is was pure art and he is one of the last legends of rock.

I can never find the Wings of Heaven version of this song - the slightly longer, live-but-almost-sounds-like-a-studio-cut version. It has that realy nice instrumental ending that isn't on any other version. *Tears hair out with irritation*
