He isn’t wrong to mention it. Appointing Ole as the united manager was more of a bad decision than even appointing Rangnick as the interim (considering Rangnick had experience as a manager in Schalke and all, I remember them reaching a ucl semi final when he was the manager)Ole had nothing to suggest he will be a success. Ole got the permanent job based on what happened in paris alone. His record even in that first season after that PSG win was a disaster. And that interview expresses an egotistical, non-compromising Ronaldo. If you love United, you've got to love what's best for the club. And sometimes that means being benched and letting other players contribute. Stop being so selfish. For me this interview is not the nail in the coffin. Honestly, I don't see what everybody is surprised about in the Ronaldo affair. I have to wholly disagree with Stevie's comment that he's had a near perfect career. Ronaldo was always a narcissist, and narcissists are toxic by definition. He managed to get his way because he delivered. He was hired to score goals and that's what he did. Players look up to him because of his work ethic, and that's fine. But let's be clear--Ronaldo was always about Ronaldo. He's always been very egotistic. That's what his whole marketing strategy is all about--him, his looks, his performances, his goals, his salary, his girlfriends. He did not leave Madrid on good terms, he did not leave Juve on good terms, and he is not going to leave ManU on good terms. Other players have a lot of respect for him because of his record and work ethics, and I suppose you could say that is a form of leadership, but there are other aspects to leadership where he has been sorely lacking, and one of them is taking responsibility for your own failures. I think he's just having a hard time accepting that his better days are over and he is no longer in the limelight. There is nothing more frustrating than that for a narcissist. And it's showing.
