It easy to recognize most fan animation character not moving or have stiff animation.
It is easy to recognise fan animation due to their lack of effects and poor drawing. But there are some diamonds (really good fan animations) that are 10x times better than gold (official opm)
One of them, Atserc. I wish every OPM season was in a style of Atserc. Because 2nd season is literally garbage
Fan animator can't draw an actual 2d animation.
They priorize 3d and blends, they put panel from Manga snd moving.
That's Manga animation, it's completely different 2d animation and Manga animations.

The power of cooking and prep time, I hope they don't get rushed and took their time really, none expecting JC staff to took season 3 but at least from the trailer it's was already way better than season 2 animation the scene so smooth I'm so hype.

One thing that stood out immediately from an animation perspective for this trailer were the backgrounds and atmospheric lighting. Season 2 had this repeated method of getting rid of detailed backgrounds during intense choreographed fight sequences for solid color back drops (not all the time but it's very noticeable and sometimes distracting in fights like Genos Vs Sonic, Garou Vs Metal Bat or Genos Vs Garou). As for the lighting I'm pretty sure only episode 3 had fights that took place at night and everything else throughout season 2 was broad daylight, I imagine because it was just easier to follow a color pallet that was familiar with mid daylighting.

My opinion is as long as it isn’t terrible, and unwatchable. I’m just happy to see this animated, this is such an awesome arc. And I don’t envy them having to animate it… just Evil Ocean.

They already are lmao. It's been almost 2 years since they announced production start and now they just announced that they are still in progress. This teaser was more a reminder and not an actual trailer.

Glad you can tell the difference a few people are literally saying it looks the same or the animation is bad which I can’t blame them since season 2 was bad and not as memorable as 1 but the fact that their are people saying there is a lot of still images is crazy do their eyes work sure the animation is iffy but I do not see any still images apart from saitama and garou at the end. The well animated parts of the trailer In my opinion is when garou gets hit by bug god onto the cables, garou flying in the air and when he is flexing his back. I hope this will be consistent and improved in the anime
Meh the animation look the same as season 2 the animation doesn't look smooth it looks stiff still images like bleach, sorry I can't give jc staff a chance murata artwork is too godly to be done so poorly by jc staff, you can tell this is just another project to them they lack of passion and talent, they are going to drain dry one key animators for all important scenes and this is going to be season 2 all over again.

That electricity discharging from garou's body as he flyies into a backflip kick was so smooth i really hope JC Staff takes the criticism from season two to heart and proove they can do good animation

There's literally no confirmation that any staff from Mappa are working with JC Staff. And Freelancers aren't Mappa Staff because the whole point of being a Freelancer is not being tied to a Studio.
I think Season 2 looked fine overall. I didn't realize people had a problem with the animation. Season 3 will probably still look fine.

many people do not liked the animation (also includes me), but if you see the teaser for season 4 of attack on titan, they changed so many things and made a good work on the final product. Its on production and they needed to show some scenes for the teaser, so probably they will upgrade the animation so much on the launch of season 3 of opm

Idk how they’re even going to do this arc. There are so many GD fights. Phoenix Man vs Child Emperor, Flashy Flash vs Monsterified Ninja Villagers, Ugly Fueher vs Amai Mask, Orochi vs. Saitama (well…), Super Alloy vs Garou, Psychos vs. Tatsumaki, All the sperms and homeless emperor, and that’s not even all of them.
they should hire some of the fan animators
although you have a point with having the season end at monster garou's transformation the best and coolest visually parts are literally all after that so i don't really know i hope they've been working on this for like a huge amount of time like 3+ years so they can drop until after the cosmic fear garou fight
Yea this trailer do not reveal too much since that it is preanimated and done by Aoki himself, I mean, all scenes in this "special announcement" (not trailer because it does not say PV or something, this has the same title that one S2 announcement in which the only thing that was showed was a teaser image with garou, saitama and genos)
One thing I really hope they do for this season is more fan suggestions for things like animations and musics. I think towards Closewave for some of his amazing works on Garou's theme for example.

When I first heard it was the same studio doing season 3 that did season 2 I was quite upset but after seeing the trailer and watching quite a few videos on it I’ve become quite hopeful that it will definitely surpass season 2’s animations and coloring. That last garou shot along looked better than all of season 2.

I think as the MA arc progressed he started using it more. hopefully they lean into this with the anime its one of the cooler looking styles.
Tbh, the fight sequence is really similar to S2 type of animation for me. But hopefully they're still cooking it considering the fact that there are still probably months before release.

to be fair, I felt the actuall animation style for S2 was actualy decent - great (like garou vs the a class heros or garuo vs tank top master, both in my opinoin were great) depending on the animator, it was just bogged down by issues brought from the TV release (excesive motion blur, dimming, ghosting) , rushed time (many sequences that should have been quite good were deemed too complicated, so many were simplifyed to all hell), and bad metal texturing.

@@windygrass9807 and, in my opinion, there were great, maybe even better that some non-boros vs saitama fights in season 1. What bad fights were there. There is one mediocre one (during the final of the martial arts tournament), a good few ok ones (metal bat vs the smaller centipede, I would put genos and bang vs the elder centipede here)a few pretty good onse I( personally think that genos vs the cockroach guy was an excellent fight (minus the metal texturing)), and genos vs sonic was also pretty good) and then the major garou fights (minus metal bat vs garou). It was no season one (and nothing ever will be), but it was decently not bad. The "it's bad" take is an overreaction filed by people's unnecessary need to call anything not perfect trash. There were people saying some parts of JJK s2's animation was horrible. Y'all just blinded by season ones glory.

You said everything i wanted to say and more, assuaging my fears and giving me hope. The trailer looked amazing, though it was a bit of a letdown with your confirmation about the trailer having been done separately (obviously through no fault of your own). I'll give JC Staff and chance, and like you, I'm willing to wait. If producing a quality season means summer or fall of 2025, so be it. Lastly, i agree about the length. Ive read the manga, and thr monster assoc arc is huge; most of it has Saitama in it sparingly until his fight with Garou. So im also hoping for either a 20-25 episode season and/or leave the Saitama/Garou fight for season 4. Their fight itself can probably stretch 2 episodes alone.

I think the title "supreme strength vs ultimate fear is *SPOILER
reffering to Orochi vs Saitama. Earlier in the arc, orochi was fighting with garou and then Garou said to orochi that he is lacking the elemnet of fearsome. Then garou get cooked by orochi. Proceed to otochi vs saitama, when saitama kick his ass and orochi lose, orochi then said "oh this is fear". Yeah i think supreme strength refeering to saitama and ultimate fear referring to orochi as he think he has the fearsome element after defeating garou.
And ofcourse no way season 3 gonna cover till garou vs saitama. Asuming season 3 gonna have 12 episode and for 12 episodes they usually take about 30+ chapters from manga so yeah i think saitama vs garou aint gonna happen in s3. More like s4 or 5..

Even if they manage to have to right to animate the chapters, it'd be around 40 episodes until we reach Garou vs Saitama, There is no way they animate 40 episodes and if they do, it'd be complete garbage (in quality).

Because in season 2, some fights were actually better animated than what the trailer showed, I know the quality of animation changes between fights (like in season 2, some fights were mediocre and some were actually good) but I believe that they'll not show a mediocre fight in the trailer right ? So it means that this is the best quality this season can have ? I hope im wrong, I just want the season 3 to be ATLEAST as good as the season 2 (which is actually mediocre/bad compared to new animes in 2023/2024 but anyways).
