Jeremy: Very interesting and informative how you went through the Jeep. I am curious about the assembly of the output shaft on the gearbox. Your manual seems to put the oil slinger on the outside of the T150 adapter assembly. The manual I am referring to has the spacer; slinger; adapter/bearing; seal; washer then nut. Do you / anyone know if this sequence makes a difference ? ( another manual does not even mention the oil slinger )
Hey Erik, thanks for watching. I went back and viewed the tear down video and checked my manual and instructions from Novak. All say to put the slinger on the inside of the rear bearing. I have no idea what influenced me to put it after the bearing, LOL. I am not sure what impact this will have in the future but will definitely report back. Check out the last 5 minutes of this video for more insight. czcams.com/video/tbe-b0NZ35w/video.htmlsi=XuVSNPKIeH7A2id4 I hope this is helpful and wish you success in your rebuild.
