- A collection of clips from my Wildwood NJ vacation in 2015, towards the end of August. I was living in California at the time, and flew in to spend a week with family and friends, and some alone time. Here are some of the sights and sounds of Wildwood (and Cape May) . For some reason, youtube excluded a few clips which I'm not happy about.
Thanks for posting this . I've been going to Wildwood for 60 years and the ride on Rio Grande Ave. was one of my favorite parts. As soon as we got off the parkway we would open all the windows and take in that salt air. This video reminds me of that.
thank you for watching and your comment! you do exactly what I do, and exactly what my parents did when I was a kid..once we got off the parkway, we rolled down the windows. felt the breeze. smelt the air. and there's NOTHING like that feeling. I'm glad you got that through the video! as a long time wildwood fan, have you ever checked out the doo wop preservation league forum online? lots of like-minded wildwood lovers, with a great source of history and information. many posters have been going to WW as long as you have.
I have checked it out online. It's a travesty what has happened with all those condos and townhouses going up. Just not the same. I remember whenever i was there , there was always this one empty lot right on the beach. I guess the owners were holding out for the right price, I believe it is filled now., but I'm not sure. haven't been i a few years , hoping to get back this year.

I love wildwood. I am going tomorrow for Memorial Day and I am so excited. I live in Philadelphia so I go every summer.
