    • @ClvrBstrd
      @ClvrBstrd Před 2 lety +4

      @@TheCurtisdavies October 26th of last year, I fell into a depression that led into me drinking an entire bottle of red wine. After finishing the bottle, my response was to drive to the store and purchase two more. I drank half of the second bottle before inevitability passing out. Eventually, I woke up to red vomit that was a mixture of wine and blood. It was laying on the bathroom floor in the fetal position, head pounding from my hangover that I realized just how close I got to dying from a developing addiction. In that moment, the only thing that I could think about was how I haven't been to my nephew's birthdays in a while and if I had continued, I wouldn't have been to them again. Also, my mom would have had to have buried her first son the same way she buried her first husband. I couldn't even bring myself to cry, all I felt was shame. But in that moment, I used it as a humbling experience to finally make meaningful changes to my life and make my late father proud by not succumbing to addiction. As much as I miss the quality of drinks like Guinness from time to time, I do not miss the way the alcohol made me feel. And as hard as this year has been, I now no longer feel that urge and am much happier with myself.

    I don't like the 'watery' and warm Draught Guinness in cans. I much prefer well chilled bottles of 'Extra Stout' rated at 6%. At home just one 375ml bottle a day REALLY helps my sense of 'well-being' and is better than drinking multiple cans of "OO". If I was drinking in a pub though I'd go "00" all night and be able to safely drive home. I have had multiple zero alcohol beer tastings from all nations and always keep Carlton Zero and Coopers Ultra Light in my fridge here in Australia but there is NOTHING like a Guinness! They are to be commended for developing such a spectacular product and rolling it out so efficiently! Cheers, David Myers, Digital Masters Australasia.

I doubt I’ll be going going back to non alcoholic lager and speaking of which, I’ve tried them all and the Lidl brand is the best for lager taste, with Aldi second. Heineken is the worst out of all the big brands. Put this Guinness in the fridge for a few hours and let it fall into a tall glass in one go and sit back and enjoy. Where is it available? Any list of pubs that have it? I don't see that can machine yoke catching on if you have 30 punters looking to try a pint of it. Takes too long to pour

  • @peterhiggins2928
    @peterhiggins2928 Před 2 lety

    The 0 pint has too big a head - my first guess will be user error as the barman didn't even know that you shouldn't dip the nozzle in the pint.

      Exactly what I was thinking it's a trick used to fill the pint when the heads too big but obviously it's disgusting who really knows how often this pub cleans taps.
      Also I was surprised at how oblivious the guru guy is at pouring pints he pulled the handle down quiet slowly

    Might as well drink regular cold brew since it tastes almost like actual Guinness except with more coffee flavor

      @bobby ewin A lot of auld lads wouldn’t know or do metric stuff at all. Still talk in pints, pounds and miles instead of mls kgs and kms. A pint is 20 ounces and 1/8th of gallon. How many people under the age of 40 know that off the top of their head?

    Great to see non-alcoholic stout. Now if they could only launch non-alcoholic Beamish that would be amazing. Beamish is so full of flavour compared to Guinness...I guess that's what makes Guinness so drinkable, the fact that it's light and not so full of flavour compared to some stouts. Guinness is everywhere, Beamish is not, so most people don't realise what they're missing out on.

      I don't know if you have Morrisons supermarkets where you are but I should put a word in for this NA 'milk stout'. I can't promise you'll like it obviously but it is flavourful and interesting with none of the metallic tang of some NA beers:
