I think it’s because it actually takes more effort to make 0.0s. It requires an extra step to remove the alcohol (through a cold filtration method). So if they priced them just based off labour cost, it would actually cost more. They only have them cheaper for the costumers.

It's actually lovely. I wouldn't be in a pub if I wasn't drinking but I always have a few in my fridge at home. Even my aunt who isn't a Guinness drinker has started having a few of these at home as an alternative to the vino. Working from home, it's nice to be able to crack open one of these in the afternoon when I'm sick of the coffee and ribena

I’ve not tried the ‘on tap’ but the can was a game changer. I quit drinking 5 years ago and have never found a non alcoholic drink I like, water and coffee for 5 years is boring as hell and I was gagging for a pint again. 0.0 Guinness put a stop to that urge 👍🍻

Its honestly the best non-alcoholic option out there for me. I always found non alcoholic lagers taste a bit "off". This stuff is great and they've really nailed the taste which probably explains why it took so long to get it right. One question if anyone knows but do they still have to charge so much for it? That was 6.10 in the video wouldn't this stuff be free from a lot of the tax on alcohol?

Fair play to Guinness. When you're nominated driver for a day out or a destination restaurant meal, you don't want a bellyfull of sweet fizzy coke or 7 up. You want a nice flavoursome pint. Only thing they've got to get right now is the pricing.

I would love to see the Guinness Zero at half the price of a standard pint. But as you say, they'll claim it's not viable. But then again, most alcohol suffers woefully steep prices due to tax. How can an alcohol free beer be still taxable at the same rate? ? The government moves in mysterious ways hey

Think a lot of people gobshiteing this sort of thing have never been off the booze for a while and been out. Like you say at the end, there's only so many cokes/etc you can have. The psychological aspect of sitting down in the pub with your mates and having what looks like a pint in front of you is huge. I didn't drink for 15 months and the one pub that actually sold NA on tap was a Godsend. In my experience you end up drinking it about the same speed as people on the real stuff, rather than 3/4 of your soft drink down within the first few minutes. I know a lot of pubs can't justify dedicating a tap to N/A, but those that can, hats off to you.

What happened to Guinness 2.8% as I thought that might be okay on Draught as last week I had a half of full strength Heineken mixed with half of Non Alcholic Heineken in a pint glass (think Snakebite) and it was fantastic the only downside was the cost at £4.80 :( but if they can do that with Guinness and make with IPA then it's a game changer in the UK you get 50% tax reduction on brewing Lagers and Beers on anything 2.8%ABV so that needs to be handed down to the punter.

Lack of shtick is cuz the 0.0 glasses are too new. And also the alcohol is involved in creating a shtickable head.
