How is the steam pressure over multiple lattes? Since you used it for large volume at an event, how was it able to hold up making so many lattes one after another?
Hi there, great question.
When the temperature was set at 125 (around 94 degrees), the steaming power did get low after 5 to 7 lattes and needed like 2 minutes to get back. It was still there, but not as full power.
However, when the heat was ramped to 130, around 98 for the brewing water, steaming pressure kept rolling. We used relatively medium to medium light roast and the 98 was still good and not harsh on espresso 🤍☕️
The real question is. What new big conical Grinder is that next to the Femobook A68???
19:33 The option to empty the boiler is also essential if you’d ever would want to descale the boiler.
That is a necessity especially if you steam a lot as you would add water (which will contain unavoidably some minerals) to the boiler but you would only extract pure H2O in the form of steam. Therefore sediment will accumulate over time.

Hi there, when you lift the lever, if no steam comes out, then it is good to go, if a lot of steam came out which you can hear and see, then let it run for 5 to 8 seconds, then you ate good to go 👌🤍☕️
A good habit is to heat the portafilter with that water and give it a good wipe 🤍☕️

Hi there, you are correct, we got this missed. It is a vibration pump, but on the quiet side of Vibration pumps as some of them can get really load.
It is not fair to compare it with the Flair58, each one is different. We personally love Electric espresso machines but can deeply appreciate the manual vibe of the likes of Flair58 and 9Barista 🤍📸

Hi man, do you recommend this machine or the Rocket Appartamento or the Lelit MaraX PL62X ? they're about the same price.
Hi there, we have made a video about the Mara X, we are planning to share in the near future. The Mara X is not as stable in regards to the temperature as the Manus S. It does not offer the full control over temperature as the Manus S, and it does not have the pressure adjustments as the Manus.
We loved our Mara X, but we always felt that we wanted more out of it and the mentioned features of the Manus S in this video just makes it the absolute winner here 🤍☕️

This was a great review. I live in South Korea and I have been eyeballing this company for a while. They are very popular. I had quick question. When you were pulling all those shots at the event, how was the stability? Was it pretty consistent or did you find it difficult after pulling 3-4-5 shots one after the other.
Hi there, when pushing this machine as much as we did, it is not fair to imagine temperature stability at its max, it is made for home use. However, based on the steaming power at that time, we would say it was very goog as long as it took one to two minutes rests between each 5 pulls 🤍☕️

What happens when the machine doesn’t have a hot water tap to drain the water sitting in the steam boiler? Doesn’t water get really old and dirty sitting inside for years?

Hi there, the water will stay kind of fresh as with each time you use it, it gets empty and refilled at the same time.
Nonetheless, the Emptying valve from the bottom is extremely helpful for the mentioned points in the video and also if you wish to do a descaling cycle and adding descaling solutions, you can easily drian the entire boiler and refill it with the advantage of this draining valve ☕️🤍👌

Would consider selling my Ascaso Steel Duo v2 for this... Would you recommend this over the ascaso?
I Would not recommend switching from a modern machine with a decent thermoblock or a saturated group head to a E61 group. The group is just too much thermal mass to really be able to play with temperatures as it will need at least 10 Minutes + multiple flushes to actually reach the temperature after changing it on the pid.
Lots of options for modern E61 group machines that no longer suffer from temperature instability issues like Lelit MaraX for instance. Lance made a video about it and all the testing done showing how temperature stable the machine is, not requiring flushes any more. Others like ECM has similar offerings for e61 style machines. I had an Ascaso DUO PID v2 and had to return it, too many issues including poor steaming and seeing lots of quality complaints on Ascaso though.
Depends on what you want to prioritize, I guess. For power and pressure control, I'd get this. For home use and energy efficiency, stay with the Duo.

22:45 Would you recommend this machine over Breville Barista express impress? I don’t make multiple shots. Generally 1 per day. If guests come over then at max 2-3. If you could rate both machines on a scale of 10 then I would appreciate it. I personally think breville is just too entry level. I am not sure how much of an upgrade manus would be. Also, I use an external grinder varia vs3.
Hi there, a fair comparison will be the Manus S or the Breville Dual Boiler, both are great and very different usability at the same time. If your priority is heating time, the Breville will heat up in 4 to 6 minutes as opposed to the Manus which takes 14 to 18 minutes.
The Breville has much louder noise and the pump is not as smooth as the Manus. It is about your personal preferred features. 🤍☕️

I had the worst experience with el rocio. Ordered two machines both machines arrived damaged and i gave up. They need to figure out how to ship machines without damage.

@@ourcoffeeshelter Currently the nightmare is still going on. The returned 2nd machine is still going to customs. Whatever reason, DHL can not clear the import customs which should be done already before 4/2. I asked the company daily to contact DHL to find out what's going on. There is absolutely zero progress made by El Rocio. This current operation this company provides is absolutely the worst in the world not to mention, how are you even going to get support after the purchase?
from the first day of the purchase and until the end, they provide absolutely the worst experience of any kind. The worst. Even the returning process also the worst. Everything this company does is just absolutely shit. Only thing they have going on is pretty design nothing behind it. Do not purchase.
