- Following a visit to the beautiful Burton Constable Hall with my daughter and my friend Rob, I was absolutely delighted to have been given free reign to film inside this stunning English Country House. The management team at Burton Constable were so accommodating and keen to show off their beautiful property.
Anyway, I put together this 4K Cinematic Video Tour which showcases one of Yorkshire's, and England's finest Elizabethan period Country Homes.
History of Burton Constable Hall -
The Hall that currently stands at Burton Constable is a stunning example of Elizabethan architecture. You might be surprised to learn however, that parts of the structure predate the Elizabethan period by hundreds of years. In fact, the history of Burton Constable Hall spans over 800 years, with the the oldest part of the house (the bottom part North Tower) dating back to the reign of King Stephen. Rewarded with vast estates in England following their support of the Norman invasion, the Constable family have held estates in Holderness since the Twelfth Century.
The late fifteenth century saw construction of the first substantial brick manor house at Burton Constable. It was not until the 1560’s however, that the new owner Sir John Constable embarked on the construction of the magnificent Elizabethan house we see today. The old Tudor structure was completely rebuilt, but parts of it were incorporated into the new house. Evidence of this can be seen in the North Lodgings wing and the North Tower. When William Constable inherited the hall in the mid Eighteenth Century, he made further extensive alterations, and during the 1770’s the illustrious Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, was employed to landscape the parkland surrounding the house.
What stands today is one of the most beautiful Elizabethan English Country Houses, and also one of my favourites.

I have never seen a castle so fabulously decorated with beautiful furniture, paintings framed with the most exquisite frames, luxurious wall carvings, colors to amaze the eye, a dream come true. Hi Felix, thanks so much for your really kind feedback! I'm really glad you enjoy what I'm doing.
You've done it beautifuly. Few seconds after this video has ended, I already got it saved in one of my most precious youtube's playlist full of houses like this. I thought for a while that this piano music I could hear through entire video was something by Ludovico Einaudi. It just sounded familliar to me.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Sadly not Einaidi, but definitely has that vibe 😊

@@kittiesshortie5011 Not sure if you ever found out but it's "Wolfpack - Johannes Bornlöf"
@@miles2000 thank you so much , I didn't know ! Nice of you to follow up.
The outside looks exactly like my high school. The inside doesn’t look like the outside, it’s so bright and gay, and cozy.
I guess Campbell, I mean Constable, knew which side his bread was buttered on.
Exterior looks like a school.
