Pelé já era um jogador moderno naquela época. Jogava com a leveza que se jogam hoje, porém, sem os tapetes que são os gramados, e as chuteiras e bolas que quase nem pesam.

Eu vi vários jogos do Pelé ao vivo, na época ele era o rei, isso nos anos 60. Agora acreditar que ele é o maior de todos os tempos kkkk Aí já é demais. Na época dele na America do Sul só tinha a argentina e o Uruguai que sabiam jogar futebol, Na America do norte ninguém sabia jogar futebol, Já africa na Asia e na Oceania muito menos ainda e na Europa tinha a Itália que só jogava na retranca, a Inglaterra que pegavam a bola e lançavam pra área pra alguém cabecear para gol, a Alemanha que jogava um negocio parecido com futebol que sempre dava certo, o resto dos países só fazia volume e de vez em quando aparecia uma seleção que fazia sucesso. A partir de 1974 o futebol começa a mudar com a super seleção holandesa que diminuiu os espaços e todos os jogadores atacavam e defendiam ao mesmo. Hoje não existe mais bobo no futebol todo mundo sabe jogar.

Incredible how so few made the Pele-Zidane Comparison despite Zidane being almost Pele's twin in the way he moves, feints and controls the ball. Never knew he was THAT damn elegant, what a player.

Thanks for putting this up on YT. I respect Der Kaiser's comments and love Pele, as his biography introduced me to the game in the 1970's as a young boy in Canada. But when you carry a team on your back like Maradona did, where as Pele had great players around him, to make his role easier on the team. But glad FIFA shared the award with both Maradona and Pele for best co-players of the century. They both have shaped the game tremendously and helped make it what it is today.

Brazil needed a 17 year old substitute called Pele to win the quarter final, semi final, and final in 1958 so a 17 year old carried that team to become world champions for the first time ever!!much more difficult than what Maradona did much later for Argentina to win their second world cup
I think Pele and Maradona is a difference in consistency vs peak form. First off, both of them are top 5 ever from a historical context regardless of your preference.
Me? I personally think Pele was the better player in general for how pristine he was his entire career. He literally started his career winning world cups and was DECADES ahead of the game around him. Only Messi can better his fabled career & sustained supremacy on the field.
I think Maradona (also in my top 5) reached a level of peak performance in 1986 that could possibly be the pinnacle we have ever seen. When have we ever seen form of the variety that we firmly believe a player won the World Cup “on their own”? Napoli too, the man was a volcano. Obviously his lifestyle made his outputs more patchy overall but when his form was hot it was red hot on another degree.
Pele was impossible to play against and had to contend with aggressive defending, heavy balls and bad pitches. The greatest ever.

Nos podemos dar cuenta que era un fútbol con más espacios, menos presión y más lento.
Porque tácticamente no estaban bien colocados, eso se puede observar desde que marcan a pele, obviamente marcar a pele en esa época era una locura, por el cambio de ritmo y potencia que tenía, además la vision de juego y los pases que daba eran descomunales, prácticamente era un mediocampista ofensivo, más que delantero, se ve claramente que estaba adelantado a su época, pero si un equipo en la actualidad se queda así de dormido se lo comen, le meten 8 goles, además no estaban preparados físicamente para correr todo el partido, y tampoco se ampliaba toda la cancha como se hace hoy en día, por eso dicen que pele era el mejor de su época, porque pasaron los años y el seguía haciendo cosas que no eran normales en esa época, dime quién carajos actualmente usa paredes en las piernas de sus rivales y se va de ellos, nadie es tan preciso con el balón para hacer eso y menos a la velocidad que arrancaba el rey pele, saludos.

Se tu pegar Messi, Cr7, principalmente Cr7, boa parte de seus gols não sairiam se eles jogassem contra zagueiros que poderiam tirar uma faca e te apunhalar e o jogo iria seguir.
Futebol moderno facilitou demais a vida dos atacantes, os defensores não podem chegar junto mais.
É só ver como Neymar é caçado em campo, se Cr7 na carreira dele tivesse sido caçado como Neymar, primeiro que ele iria se lesionar pra caralho e segundo faria muito menos coisas.

To me there's no such thing as 'The Greatest/Best Player of All Time'. Rather I would say players fall under categories. The likes of Pèle, Maradona, Cruyf, Messi, etc. would be in the same category/class. As to who is the best amongst them would be a matter of individual preference. But as for one player being 'officially' the best of all would be ridiculous. It's similar to these often made declarations of 'The Most Beautiful Woman In The World' or 'Sexiest Man In The World'.

Respeito muito sua opinião, mas creio que você não leu os comentários dos grandes esportistas na descrição deste vídeo. Podem dizer que os jogadores da época eram lerdos e não tinham habilidade em comparação aos atletas de hoje. Concordo plenamente. Mas como em terra de cego quem tem um olho é rei, o rei tinha mais que dois. Quero dizer com isso, que as condições nos jogos eram as mesmas para os dois times. Ele não saiu de 2020 para jogar em 1960. Ele se destacou em muito dos demais. Quando tiver a oportunidade de ver um outro vídeo dele, preste atenção de como tinha habilidade nas duas pernas, visão de campo, velocidade etc. Para mim, que vivi a era Pelé, seu auge foi a copa de 70.

Pele era muito moderno. Jogava na intensidade de hoje, por isso é o Rei.

A marcação era diferente? Sim!! Era menos intensa? Sim. Os jogadores eram fisicamente piores também. Mas não era pior a marcação. Em muitos aspectos era melhor, os bons defensores do passado sabiam desarmar melhor que muitos de hoje (a maioria dos zagueiros hoje evita o bote a todo custo). A referência era o jogador e a bola, não o espaço, por isso você vê essa marcação individual e estranha, porque hoje poucos times marcam individual. A marcação individual não é pior que a zonal, só exige mais responsabilidade individual do marcador, portanto é muito arriscado de se fazer, já que um craque como Pelé, Messi, CR7, Neymar se desmarcam bem!! O Pelé se movimentava MUITO e, era absurdo tecnica e fisicamente, fazendo parecer fácil passar assim por todo mundo.
Sobre a questão do espaço que ele tem, vai muito da intensidade do jogo que era mais baixa, o jogador não pressionava o tempo todo mas isso não significa necessariamente que os marcadores eram ruins, só pressionavam menos. Mais vale pressionar certo duas vezes do que pressionar 10 vezes errado...
OBS: ALÉM DA FALTA DE PREPARO FÍSICO DA ÉPOCA, O CAMPO ERA UNS 10 METROS MAIOR EM LARGURA E COMPRIMENTO, DE MODO GERAL, O QUE DIFICULTA AINDA MAIS A PRESSÃO PELO CAMPO TODO. ESSE FUTEBOL DE PRESSÃO DE HOJE SÓ É POSSÍVEL O JOGO TODO PORQUE O CAMPO É MUITO MENOR...

When you see Pele and Maradona in action you can see that they were on similar level, and it's two levels higher than Cruyff and three levels higher than Platini. Bom jogador se vê, com uma técnica antiga passando da bola, dando de trivela, coisas que não se faz hoje. Mas não impressiona muito, era bom, mas nada comparado a Messi ou Zidane que foram testados por retrancas muito mais pesadas.
Beckenbauer, Di Stefano, Cruiff, Eusébio, todos eles viram Pelé, Maradona e Messi jogarem. São unânimes em dizer que Pelé era muito superior.
