    Thanks a lot to your great video about Fort Collins. I'm from Indonesia. You treat my longing for this city because I stayed in this city for 2.5 months in summer 1996 to attended summer short course in Colorado State University.

    There are no more people from Fort Collins that live there anymore. I used to live in Fort Collins, I was born at PVH (Poudre Valley Hospital) when it was only 3 stories and small, now it’s just gone to hell. I finally moved to Loveland, because of the all the stupidity there!

      Thanks for your reply and support of the channel. It is true that Fort Collins has changed significantly over the last 10-20 years. Loveland is a very nice place. I've seen quite a few people move there over the years. Here is a video I did of Loveland: czcams.com/video/RLCrde-ujiY/video.html

    I lived there about 10 years ago while going to school. It was cute, but my main issues with NoCo were the income disparity and lack of diversity. I moved back to California the first chance I got. We always called the "downtown" area Old Town.

    • @jamie.eklund-colorado.realtor
      @jamie.eklund-colorado.realtor  Před 2 lety +1

      There is quite the disparity in Income to Property values in most industries here. I am hoping that the industries catch up.

      Is it expensive to live out here .

    • @djstephanysays9708
      @djstephanysays9708 Před 2 lety +1

      @@andrestorriente6436 It is! It's just as expensive as where I live in California, but the wages are lower out in Colorado. When I moved out there in 2008, I left a job paying $20/hour and couldn't find anything in Colorado more than about $14/hour. Most jobs were around $9/hour unless you had an advanced degree.

      @@andrestorriente6436 You are correct. Out of Loveland, Greeley, and the surrounding areas, Fort Collins has the highest priced houses. Lots of people wanting to live there. :)

      @@djstephanysays9708 I'm from San Diego... where the houses are on average $1 million and a 2 bedroom Condo is $550,000 - $600,000 for something that is over 30 years old. Ft. Collins seems to have pretty affordable housing, in comparison ($400,000 - $600,000 for the same $1 - $1.5 Mil kind of home). Also, research in pay seems to be the same or a bit higher than San Diego (I.E. a Quality Control Technician can make around 60k/ year in CA, the same jobs pay $10,000 - $20,000 more in Ft. Collins). I bought a 2 bedroom condo here in 2000 for $128,000... the same home is now $550,000 and they sell in a week. I'd venture to say that the people of Northern Colorado are twice as nice as ANY Californian, so that has an added value, as well.

      I grew up in FoCo and lived there until I was 26. I'm black. Never once had a problem. Being black in FoCo is not an issue at all. My Dad is a professor at CSU l and we lived a mere few blocks from the university.
