Cooking is more about order and timing than anything else since it's not as exact as baking.

The first time I watched this, I just thought Adam was a weirdo and that this video was a playful clash with Molly’s personality. @@alexclark4792 No you cannot do that with oil, and especially not with 350 degree oil. With most sauces and soups you can dip your finger in and move your finger to your mouth quickly the air cools it before it burns you, chefs do it all the time. But oil or caramel, a can get way hotter than boiling water and b are too sticky and actually insulates your finger in it and thus will burn you, especially if it is hotter than boiling water.

Also, the EIC, adam, had a very toxic and abusive relationship with his staff and was always asserting his dominance and knowledge.
