I’m only 6 minutes into this interview and I’m already crying. I had the honor of knowing her Dad. He was a teacher when I was in HS but I never had him as a teacher. However, into my 30’s and now 40’s I had the pleasure of knowing him. I looked forward to our conversations. We had the best conversations about life, culture, food, music and just people in general. Her father was really an intellectual and kind person. He will be missed tremendously. 💜

He sat me down and basically told me to suck it up and learn from my mistake and make it a better situation. His poetry lessons where the best. And i did now i feel successful and I have a beautiful 17 yo daughter and thanks to him i made the best of it.... I love being in that class everyday thank you for doing what you loved!
