  • POLARIS RANGER DIESEL VS RANGER 1000, Overview comparison on both engine options.
    After experiencing both units I can say that I do enjoy the 1000 Ranger unit more then the diesel unit. At the end of the day it comes down to personal application or what exactly you’re going to do with the unit. Both units I believe have there place in the market and the diesel is going to give you that more HD application, while the petrol/gas unit with give you more power performance and fun.

    Super helpful review thanks mate! Was considering the diesel and no way in hell now, particularly given the noise. When you said you were bringing it up to it’s top speed I was waiting for you to say “now” but you’d already started 😂 it’s a bit of a slug but I see the advantages for some. Cheers

    They should put a turbo on the diesel

    Awesome mate, thanks for making this review. I was hoping for the diesel to be a bit more quiet than the petrol and still have "some"? boot behind it...Im mainly looking at the Diesel SXS for hunting so i can minimise the amount of different fuels I need to carry remote...disappointing score for the diesel, guess its not time to upgrade from the sportsman just yet.

      Yeah man it’s just slow unfortunately, the 1000 is so much smoother to drive and faster, quieter etc.

      @@TyFenwick and that engine noise...sounds like a D11 tracking on bitumen.

      @@TyFenwick I've been looking for a mini excavator muffler and cat. its a loud engine..... woken many of folks clearing sewer drains at all hours of the night and early mornings. Keep up the good work mate, enjoy your channel. Would love to have a sneak peak and you r property one day and say g'day.

    What is the price difference between the models? Obviously petrol engines are cheaper to maintain but don’t necessarily have the longevity of the Diesel engine. Correct me if I’m wrong but they kind of cancel each other out in regards to fuel consumption to maintenance costs no?
    But as you said it’s purely a preference thing when it comes to these. The diesel I guess has more functionality farm wise. I just would have thought you should be able to rec reg the 1000, it would be way more fun than putting around at 45kms!

      I didn’t want to talk about price because between countries it varies and Polaris always has some sort of deal going. It’s mostly much for muchness really what ever your prefer 😁👍🏼

      Older diesel engines have very little costs associated to them. Basically the simpler they are and less to no emmisions on them the better.

    Is the diesel polaris reliable or just tge same as the others

    • @TyFenwick
      @TyFenwick  Před 3 lety

      The Kubota engines are bullet proof, however it all comes down to servicing the unit... look after the gear and it will look after you is how I look at it.

      @@TyFenwick its a hard choice. I nail it down to 3. Polaris ranger diesel, yamaha viking and the kubota rtv x1120. Everyone say polaris is not so good brand, the kubota is slow and ugly, so im thinking of yamaha.
