    Really nice video comparison. I bought a 2011 Polaris Ranger 800 XP brand new back in March 2011 and I still own it today. It's not had any issues I still have the original CVT belt on it and ride/use it daily almost. I have been looking at the General though because it looks much more fun on the trail.

    I noticed you did your own fix on the door separating issue, do you know their is a recall/service advisory that you can get it fixed by Polaris. The door latches are replaced as well and make the doors way more like a car. Definitely recommend getting it done, but make sure you hold onto your original door seals before you get it done 👍🏼

    I bought he ranger 900xp eps premium ... honestly cannot see spending the difference for 100cc more but I love the Ranger.. it’s peppy and can haul weight and just did a trail ride with the club and it was amazing ... only had to use the 4 wheel drive once to get out of a big puddle, the rest of the time 2wheel drive and we had all kinds of conditions... ashphalt roads, rock , mud , wet sand , snow , ice probably forgetting something lol but ranger definitely has my vote

    Great review! I have the 18 Ranger and love it also. Have been through the big 4x4 scene from the 70’s then got into off-road rail type and quads. Time to relax and enjoy the scenery. I put 2’ lift and 30” tires on it. This thing will go a lot of places in comfort. I bought it also for my 2 dogs to ride with me. They love the trail too.one of these days I’m going to figure out the dust problem. I love the look of both units and wish I could justify having both. My wife would kill me. Thanks!

    I live in a very dusty environment, maybe it’s just me and I’m used to it, but I don’t mind the dust, I have both windows in my Ranger XP 1000. Love my ranger though, flipping amazing (Edit) Also I like my ranger a lot because I, well.. I’m a farmer, but I have an ECU tune and Clutch kit for the fun parts.. which makes it go up to 100+ HP in performance, and if I’m not trail riding or racing, I’ll just put it in standard which removes the Tune. I have very smooth and badass Aftermarket tries (28x10) and it makes me smile every time I hit a whoop, fantastic for a utility machine. Never dove a general but, from what I’ve heard, I’ll keep my wrapped XP 1000 :) Great video!

    Cracking review Ty,
    I live in Central NSW and am still torn between these two models.
    I do a lot of pig chasing, but also do a lot of trail rides and go fast stuff. I ride my 2019 Sportsman 570 like its a Scrambler when I havent get the dogs on. I have plenty of urge to go fast still and was thinking of the General but knocking up an alloy tray for it to replace the bucket but mounting it on the tipper frame.
    Do a lot of hunting but also a lot of go fast stuff, not really bothered on jumping but... not yet anyway.
    Still torn between the two!
    Feedback would be appreciated!!

      @LoadedL1A1 Před 4 lety

      full enclosure and heat are available through Polaris I used a hot rod add on air-conditioner kit and aftermarket upper 1/2 door(canvas) works great but cab is not sealed as well as the north-star so it can still be a bit dusty but its sooooooo much better than the dust with only lower doors also use it with tracks in the winter and the heater will cook you out and warms up fast windshield wiper is a must have IMO
