- After I had a recent alternator fault with low battery, decided it was a great opportunity to show how to clear tons of codes on a Range Rover with my iCarsoft V2. I go deep into the bowels of the software showing you how you can see live fault finding data, how to clear codes and how to find module information.

Garages tend to plug in to there own machine rather than rely on customers diagnosis or report
@@pug2052 You are correct, however what I like to do is no the faults ahead of time, then see what they bring up, this way I know I am not being overcharged !

Thanks for the vid. Only notice i have is that i personally would connect and fasten the cable to the unit prior to plug it into the cars data port in order to avoid possibly damage to the unit by electric discharge. Othewise thumbs up.

Attention Important: The CR Pro can only operate vehicles that were built up to 2016/2017. For all newer vehicles you need the CR Pro + (until around 2021/22). No lifetime free updates... There haven't been any updates for this for a long time. Only for the system, but not for the vehicle files. Unfortunately, I fell for it too. If you want a more sustainable OBD scanner, you'll probably have to go for Launch, Autel or something similar. A pity.

@@GrooveOn well heres an example. i thought when you went into read codes it would show all codes that were active. but i noticed you went into several different items and looked at fault codes per item. didn't realise it worked like that so I shall go in with fresh awareness 🙂
I do like watching your videos about the Range Rover L3 22 I have done some diagnostic on my car steering sensor wrong ID I've got to do one to put on also also the driver's side doors decide to super lock I can open all the other doors the button on the key fob and open a lock with the key will still not open driver's door I like to know how to sort this problem out because I don't really want to scrap the car I've done a lot of work on it at the moment please advise if possible thank you always watch your videos very helpful for an old mechanic have a nice weekend
Hey that's really kind of you, I'm not a big CZcamsr although I've been on scince the begining and noticed that my older videos were getting a lot of good reviews so decided to recently add more! Can you calibrate suspensión with this device
I have this exact diagnostic tool. I only wish one could calibrate the air suspension with it.
You can see the heights with the tool, is that any good?

Excellent, but I didn't see tire pressure fault code. I have a 2014 Rangerover and I can't get the tire pressure symbol/fault from coming on....and I have double checked all tires.

Hello. with this tool I cannot enter the transfer box or even the steering angle sensor. Range Rover l322 2004
I have recently got one these but in the booklet it states switch on the ignition before you plug in the device, however no mention of having the engine running. I noticed a couple of times you started the car, does the device need to be in a certain mode before starting the engine? Your responce would be appreciated. Thankyou.
I know the customer service is not great on icarsoft and is the reason I help people with my videos. When I use my icarsoft, I usually have all the lights on the dash, just before you crank engine. You can certainly start engine if you want, as some functions have to have engine running to monitor like ABS as you drive, RPM etc.
Hi I got the E660 module. I don’t have much in my service section. Just STS EBS. How can I get the battery and other selections upgraded on my device? I tried but I don’t get the options
I actually have the icarsoft MB2. For some reason it will not communicate with my Mercedes. My other scanner does fine. I am hoping an update will bring it back to working!
What Mercedes do you have mate, is it an older year?
Have you tried to see if the OBD2 general diagnosis works?
I have a 2006 Range Rover sport and the OBD brings up these trouble codes: DA0362, 9A5601, E00388 & E00386 but I can’t find anywhere on the internet on what these trouble codes are. Do you have any idea?
Whats the symptons of the cars faults? Does your OBD scanner not give any more info then the codes? Usually they will state the specific area of the car.
Audi A3 ABS fault will it pinpoint which sensor is faulty or will just say faulty sensor? I am almost sold to getting one just need to find out more about it, many thanks .
I know on my Mercedes it states which sensor

There is some info on the website but it's not that clear, it's one of the reasons I made videos. If you look at my other icarsoft videos you really just plug in with ignition on, go to diagnostic and select your car. Let me know how you get on👍
I have the LR 3.0 version of the iCarSoft scan tool. I got it hoping that it would clear the “Service Required” message I’m getting on the dash of my L322 2011 HSE Lux. I can’t seem to find where to do that. I wonder if you or any of your viewers have found that feature.

I agree that this function would be far easier I haven't checked the pro icarsoft but I would like to think that it would show this
Surely the gearbox fault "could" come back if you drive it
Once I had the gearbox serviced, I removed the historic codes and they stayed away
I bougth the V3 to my 2002 Td6 Vogue but it seems that is not very compatible or may I do something wrong
hmm, did you have the engine on and do a smart scan at all?

@@siyadsalah you can turn key until just before it starts car, so lights are on dash, or just start car, do me know how you get on mate😉

Hi there, my icarsoft has 10 cars, but unfortunately I don't have Saab. However all the points you mentioned come up for cars I have. Sorry I can't give you more definite results. I would check with icarsoft direct.
