Tuner box has two fuses. One constant +12 volts at all times. Second switched +12 volts through ignition. Check ALL fuses, they can label one for the stereo. The other could be anything... Horn, Courtesy, Back Up...
Few things, first these instructions are for 87-92 and not 88-93, the '93 stereo is very diffrent without bose amplifiers and the cdm is in the trunk, also please be very carfull when replacing the glove box, the light is not fused and if you get the wires pinched you might have an electrical fire
I have a 1990 Allante, and the sound system is DOA. I'm about ready to replace this module to see if it fixes the problem, but was informed that there is another component.. a black box marked DELCO that also may be part of the problem... do you know what that would be?
My 87 Allante has a tape player now stuck... I would like to replace it with a CD or get it fixed and install a CD in the trunk... Must I install a separate CD system with speakers for it to work? My tuner appears to be in the trunk...

Ive got that 90 allante speakers have no sound to them.thinking it's the CDM box.
