The way you have insert the meal card it into the ordering machine is like a floppy disk. But the legos are like the old punch cards. This's isn't the future, it's a creative use of retro tech. How on point.
Its not retro tech Its mostlikely using some sort of ai to detect the seperate lego pieces, why else do you think they are using those specific coloured bricks in a specific order?

One of the coolest things I've seen like this was a restaurant in an adventure park / hotel where you got a ball to put your order in and then go to a central wood pillar that has some crazy steps to climb to the top and put in on a marble run into the kitchen (you could also pick to just order with the waiter, but the place is mostly for families, so most people choose the fun way)
During my trip to Billund, Denmark, I also went to the LEGO House and build my meal, I even got the surprise for free even if I was older than I should've been. 😄

That's what a great menu and ordering system is good for, like this here. Though, the proprietor has to keep things easy to understand and the menu adequate enough. I've seen a number of unwieldy menu that do not help, where the place eventually ended up closing down.
I’ve been to Lego House a few times (I live in Denmark and my grandparents live near Billund) and i Can honstly say that the restaurant is equally amazing each time
It would be so cool if there was a day where you did LITERALLY build your meal like people had to build a replica of what dish they wanted and the resturaunt invited lego enthusiasts to basically show off their skills for free food

I love legos and many year back I tried to get Lego and Frenches mustard together for a awesome commercial. A dad walks into the kitchen you hear rustling noises, and in the middle of the night and turns on the light. And on the counter frozen are Lego people with a giant Lego hot dog on a Lego plate with Lego ketchup across the hot dog, but there are 6 Lego people carrying a frenches mustad bottle out of the refrigerator. And the caption reads frenches catch phrase. “When it comes to mustard, it has to be Frenches”. I wish they would have made that commercial.
I lived in Billund when it got build, it's crazy, Lego bought almost all of Billund city center, and there was talk about some crazy ideas, then it ended up whif a big Lego house, cool right. Ps. have sadly enough newer seen it, moved short before the construction was completed.
I have an idea for a new Lego build. A even bigger Lego Mimic Brick, same as the big bricks you made that open up to show different stuff, but even bigger. Similar to the huge red brick you built.
