This is their original vocalist Garrison Lee who was with them for the first 2 albums. Then they did an ep with Ian Eubanks but I think he blew out his voice while they were touring and had to leave. That's when JT came in for their Drift album

Great song though. One of their best. (Also, 'ephemeral' means temporary and short-lived.)
This whole album (Augment) from ERRA is a must listen - all of the songs are just as amazing as this one. If you liked this, you will absolutely love the rest of the album. It stands as one of the greatest metal albums of all time in my opinion. ERRA's new stuff is great too, but this is truly their "magnum opus". I recommend listening to Alpha Seed next, which is the album opener.
I’m actually happy Erra has broken through to a more mainstream audience, I remember when this album first came out I was so hype but I’ve been listening since they dropped their very first album Impulse 🤘🏼

As a fan of the older ERRA, I would highly recommend White noise, Pattern Interrupt, The Architect, Invent, and Render the Void off their first album Impulse, and Alpha Seed, Pulse, Dreamwalkers, Hybrid Earth, Rebirth, Crimson, and Dementia off of Augment but honestly there isn't a bad song on either album imo 🤘🔥

Yes! Erra! Erra was a very big part in my music development in high school growing up down the street from them! Actually my best friend booked them quite often in their early stages! So cool to see them getting noticed more!
Dude, your reaction is so great! Genuine and sporadic like the song lol. Ultraviolet has been one of my favorite songs with ERRA and that guitar riff is just sick (starting around 00:55). A good reminder of how Jesse (guitarist) just pulls out some wild a$$ riffs...just like in the song Gungrave. If you heard the song, you know what I'm talking about 😆. Jesse Cash is the most talented musician in the genre. He is playing these intricate guitar parts while singing. It is honestly insane to see him do it live

personally I love the old erra, the lyrics are far more meaningful and garrison lee fits perfectly with their sound. Check out Rebirth, that's their best song IMO

I personally think you would love Safehaven, Skyline, Irreversible or The Hypnotist from Drift.
Their new self titled record imo every track is just pure gold my top favs on that record are Divisionary, Memory Fiction, Vanish Canvas, Lunar Halo, or Remnant!
Off of their Neon record imo their best tracks are Valhalla, Ultimata, Unify, Monolith, and Ghost Of Nothing. I love the entire record lol
Moments Of Clarity EP is gold that people tend to overlook every track is just plain awesome my favorite ones on that are Lights City, Our Translucent Forever, and Warrior.
Augment is a really great record and thats what Ultraviolet is on my personal favorites are Alpha Seed, Dementia, Crimson, Dreamwalkers, Pulse.
Impulse has alot of gold in it aswell
Listen to this song several years ago. The old erra is the best ultraviolet is one of my favorite song of all time.
Old Erra > new Erra IMO. I’m not hating them for evolving, nothing should stay static. But for me, their new sound is definitely a downgrade. Maybe it’s just JT not doing it for me. I feel like his screams are all mid-range with very little variety. Though they did release a few solid tracks with JT, I just generally don’t connect with Drift and onwards, except for a few select tracks.
Anyway, I’m banding together with the other commenters, check out Augment in it’s entirety. Also, Moments of Clarity EP deserves more recognition. There are hardly any recommendations nor reactions on CZcams and for me, it’s up there in quality with Augment. (Dreamcatcher is probably my fav off of Moments of Clarity)
Agree 100%. Augment and everything prior is wayyyyyyy better. I miss Alan and Garrison. And there is like zero Augment and Impulse reactions.

Late to the party. This album is incredible and I do highly recommend Rebirth, Augment/ Dementia. And a song I don’t see get mentioned often off the album is Spirits Away, which to me, is beautiful.

maaan I love these guys, been following them, since their moments of clarity ep came out and they have honestly grown to be one of my favorite bands of all time! Everyone in the band is so talented its actually insane.
Next song has to be Alpha Seed or Dementia. Both are phenomenal songs.

This growler was garrison lee. Alan took over with moments of clarity then jt from texas in July came in with drift. erra is so tricky and so good. I say that augment touches my soul the most, like sage spirits singing knowledge and wisdom of soulful revival yet drift and neon get me hard. Guess it depends on your preference and style.
