- Alex Albon wins his first DTM race! In a chaotic race in which nine of 23 cars failed to cross the finish line, Albon makes perfect use of his pole position.
Daniel Juncadella and Marco Wittmann completed the podium at the Nürburgring.
Title contenders Kelvin van der Linde and Liam Lawson each eliminated after a direct collision.

I'm just glad Albon won. You should have seen the crap people were typing yesterday on the live chat. It's like people just live to anger themselves and others.

Why the hate? He is the nicest and the most inoffensive character in motorsport.
People dont know this but Albon leads his teammate in the championship too.
Keyboard warriors just love to find some great people to trash but they never know great people will back to their great times and keyboard warriors can only back to their room.
@@dirkstrickland135 gets into redbull because hes thai then underperforms and complains drivers race him too hard would have a lot to do with it.
I am pleased that Alex won. This is going to help give him a big confidence boost. He appears to be one of the most pleasant drivers in the paddock. Apparently he had a visit with Roman Grosjean at the road course race at Indianapolis. Is it possible he could make the move to IndyCar?
he has a plan b and a plan c if he cannot find a seat in f1 again after this year, plan b most likely being IndyCar as his appearance at Indianapolis perhaps foreshadows and formula e probably being the plan c
Indy isnt his only choice, he also has Formula E as he is linked to chats with Nissan for next season, 2021/2022
I think albon just lacks that self trust. He's by no mean a bad driver, but that red bull environment really crush the second driver.
hes also be shortlisted for the nissan formula e 2nd seat so fe could be on the horizon

Proud to support Alex all the way through his career.
In 2020 at nurburgring he hit his rock bottom, as max lapped him and his radio of "they race me so hard" ... i was heartbroken.
And he wins there after a year in DTM, I'm sure he will get back to F1🥺❤❤
I hope he does, but I wouldn't mind him having a go at Indycar either.

That comment is what made me lose the respect of him. What did he expect? Did he expect them not to be racers…? Such a crybaby comment. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate him or anything. Just lost the respect as a racer…

I know he was a rookie like he was 3rd place then Hamilton collided with Albon i think The Haters loves it bc they hate Albon but i know he is the best rookie in F1 history
Albon was completely flying in this race. Even though most of his overtakes were on cars that were on old tires, i just missed watching him overtake everyone like he did back in 2019.

Even 2020 starting of the season ... he was great at overtaking ...But then suddenly it went down
@@greybo4034 yeah he was but even then, that already was a result because of another problem: his qualifying pace. It was good he got some P4/P5s and overtook many people, but he was expected to be close to max to help him battle the mercs, not battling midfield teams.

Well like this Albon was trying to defend and holding his position when Hamilton is behind then Hamilton clashed with Albon Lewis thought it was a racing incident Finally after the race finished Max won the last round in Brazil 2019 but after colliding with Alex Albon Hamilton gets a 10 second penalty from the FIA (Fact from FORMULA 1 Brazil 2019 Final Round)

DTM, I appreciate your work so very much, but please don't put the race results in ANY video title. This scenario happened to me multiple times:
I come home after the race had finished, I'm excited to watch it, I even remembered to turn off my mobile network before the race as to not get any news spoiling it for me, I go to your channel to find the replay and bam -- my eyes immediately read the title of the highlight video "Albon wins chaotic race". I'll still watch it, obviously, but that little bit is gone.
Totally agree, I always say they should watch how f1 does their higlights. They are quite spot on imo.
Still I have to say this summary here is pretty good + I alos appreciate that they broadcast on YT and upload highlights
They aren't going to change what they are doing. It has a purpose. To get punters to pay up and subscribe to the live feed. CZcams is no friend of a broadcaster who has paying clients.

That's called news. And normally you can find the main point in the title. That's the way it always has been, not "The race starts and then THIS happens ..."

Glad that Albon proved all the haters wrong. He was great in F1. RB16 was just hard to handle for everyone except Max.
In fact, it was hard to handle for anyone. Adrian Newey said that the car handled in a way that even he did not understand why. Somehow Max just managed to drive it better than anyone else.

It always amazes me how an average/mediocre driver in F1 can absolutely dominate in other categories. Goes to show how much faster F1 drivers are, specially those really good drivers like Hamilton, Verstappen, Etc.

It just wasn't Lawson day. He's a pretty agressive driver but yesterday everything gone wrong.
Glad Alex won this race, he deserved that!
I honestly don't understand why Lawson is being put down now. That was the first slip-up he made this weekend. The rest of the season was actually quite good.

It's great to see how drivers such as Albon and Grosjean who didn't particularly excel in F1 (of course circumstances and car competitiveness taken into consideration) are excelling in other disciplines. It really shows the skill an F1 car demands and pushes a driver but also the competitiveness and quality of drivers competing. (that's not to say all the best go to F1, it sadly is still a very exclusive sport!)
